FINALLY!!! You guys are awesome for getting around to this. You'll find a lot of good films in Indian cinema. Not just actiohn, but there are some great romance stories and comedies!
I like the film w/subtitles as you get to hear the emotion of the characters and understand the lyrics of the songs. Ray Stevenson (the Govenor) passed away just last week.

grt reaction guys, u guys caught a lot of details i see others miss. loved u vibing to the songs too .also quick fact basically every indian movie has multiple songs in it, its jst the norm.
if u really liked this movie, u'd love Bahubali(1 and 2) movies by the same director. tht movie was the Goat and is a lot better than even RRR. if u ever fancy another hindi (telugu)movie ever tht one is not to be missed.

Here are some good Bollywood movies that are very accessible to newcomers and will ease you into the genre and culture slowly (I'd reccomend watching these first before cheesy 90s films but thats just my opinion):
-Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara (3 best friends go on a road trip)
-Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (college friends go on a trek, reunite at a wedding years later)
-Dil Dhadakne Do (several families on a cruise, lots of drama and laughs)
-Piku (a girl lives/takes care of her elderly and cantankerous yet hilarious father, there is a big roadtrip in this one too)
-3 Idiots (three friends in engineering college, talks about academic and familial pressure, but is a romance too)

The main villain of this movie who played Governor Scott played by Ray Stevenson is sadly no more with us anymore. You will get to see him the last time in Ahsoka.

Just watched this movie last week (last year did not see any of this come by for me also due to some problems, but a youtube video put me on this).
I have seen this movie 5 times now and watched it with my mom who loved it.
It is an amazing movie, the 3 hours flew by, I had smile on my face the whole time. I loved the bond, the story, the action, music. Such a great movie❤ I am listening to the songs a lot, got a part of dance naatu naatu down. 😁😊

quick fact, I'm pretty sure the two actors for the main characters (Ram Charan and Jr NTR) did the Hindi dubbing for their character themselves, rather than them finding someone else to dub over it ☺️
Also both actors have been close friends for years now lol, even before the movie, so it's nice to see their chemistry just fit

Eyy you guys should watch 3 Idiots next! It's the best Indian movie I've ever seen. The same lead actor, Aamir Khan, also has another movie I absolutely love, it's called Ghajini. Hope you guys get around to watching them. 😄
Amit khan's Ghazini is only a remake of original film in Tamil language called Kollywood in South India. India has multiple woods...😀

A hidden gem of an Indian film is 2007's "Saawariya". It's literally one of my favorites... It's nothing like RRR, but it's still a really good story with great musical numbers!

You guys might like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It’s about some elderly British people who move to India to live out their golden years. It’s really quite good and stars Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Dev Patel and more iconic actors. 2011. Skip the sequel!

There are two great entry movies into Indian Cinema. RRR is an amazing entry into Tollywood and 3 Idiots is an awesome entry into Bollywood.

So you won't get bored you can change your taste anytime you want .
