  • A custom build can lose some power if the theme doesn’t stay consistent. Stacey shows how to do that by taking you through the process of how to make door and kick panels that keep the rugged military WWII bomber vibe flowing throughout the interior of Sgt. Rock. After that, its some tips on how to fit a radiator and that all-important cooling fan in a place where space is limited. Finally, the gas tank and battery placement are critical on a custom vehicle and Stacey goes through the steps in doing that as well. If you’ve always wanted to build a custom vehicle, this episode is sure to get your fabrication gearZ turning.

I've been watchin you for as far back as I can remember 8 or 9 I think when I started. Well, to put it this way, I remember when it was TNN and Trucks! Anyone remember when Sgt. Rock was rockin the military leaf springs? As long as you put out awesome content I'll always keep watchin. Copperhead was, is and always will be my favorite C10!

ChevyNglockMan hell yeah, crazy horse was a bad ass build, I also really liked the willys wagon, and the budget wagoneer build mostly because I have an 88 4 door wag. He'll there were soooooo many, I can't list em all, but this guy is arguably one of the best tv car show hosts.

I’m getting to see this truck coming together...good tips on the interior...I’m glad to see them for I will be able to use some of them on my 51 REO project. You did some really good work on this rig. I’m glad that you showed the floor panel in both stages...my truck has a floor panel as well an empty place where the under seat fuel tank is. That interior will need lots of work when the time comes. Thanks again and I love the rig!

You were pretty vague about how the battery boxes were attached on the Sgt. Rock truck. I'd have bolted them down into tapped holes with 1/4-20 stainless steel sidewalk screws. The heads are 1/8" thick and about an inch in diameter. the reason I'd use stainless is because they're readily available in the hurricane protection industry and don't rust when used with steel or aluminum. Id have spread the load on the battery case by lining the bottom with some of the 14 gauge aluminum you have lying around as scrap from the door liners and kick plates. or you could just use countersunk stainless steel 1/4-20 screws, since those cast battery boxes are clearly thick enough. I hope you have something under the aluminum battery boxes and the floor, since it's outside, like maybe that thin rubber you put under the fuel tank. Don't mix aluminum and steel outdoors, even if painted. Acid rain or salt air makes the joint into a battery and corrosion is guaranteed. Stainless steel works with both, and 316L is the best, if you can get it. it has so little iron that magnets barely stick to it. It's mostly nickel and chrome.

Love the Full Episodes. You should do them more often, or reorganize your content so that you can offer full episodes on youtube after your paid viewers get 1st dibs and other content. Awesome show!!!

Stace, don't you think the interior could use more leather? The seats just look a little too lonely in my opinion. Wouldn't it have been a good choice to put some leather inserts on the door panel instead of all of them being aluminum? Great build, I remember it from Trucks.

Yes but that would take 37 years based off of Sgt Rock. Ian started one on Xtreme 4x4 but he left the show before it was done. It would have been wicked. And maybe I can see it end since he is on Amazon Prime. Big Tire Garage
