Just as John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus, so a Persian prophet known as the Báb (“the Gate”) (1819-1850) prepared the way for Bahá’u’lláh (“glory of God”), the founder of Baha’i. Although Bahá’u’lláh (1817- 1892) believed his messianic mandate was the unification of the world’s religions, his message was fatally flawed. Hank Hanegraaff, the host of the 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘯 broadcast and the 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 podcast, notes that Baha’is believe that Bahá’u’lláh is a greater manifestation of God than Moses, Muhammad, or the Christian Messiah. Thus, the Baha’i thrust toward the unification of all religions is primed for failure. Islam, the mother religion of Baha’i, would not and could not consider Bahá’u’lláh as a prophet of God greater than Muhammad. Likewise, Christianity is committed to Christ as “the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6; cf. Acts 4:12). Baha’i teaches that every few hundred years the spirit and attributes of divinity are mirrored in a new messenger and manifestation of God. Each revelator reveals as much revelation as the faithful are ready to receive. As such, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Confucius, Christ, Muhammad, and Krishna all paved the way toward the ultimate revelations personified in the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. The fallacy, of course, is that the revelators and their revelations directly conflict with one another. For example, Moses was fiercely monotheistic whereas Zoroaster and Krishna were polytheistic. Likewise, the Qur’an condemns Christ’s claim to be the Son of God as the unforgivable sin of shirk. Logically, the messengers and manifestations can all be wrong, but they can’t all be right. Finally, Baha’i explicitly denies objective truth claims of Christianity such as the Trinity, virgin birth, incarnation, resurrection, and second coming of Christ.

The more I read about prophecies in christianity and islam the more I believe that Baha'u'llah is the second coming of Christ.
      ----
From Wikipedia, the greatest source
Jesus will return to wage a battle against the false Messiah (Dajjal, or Anti-Christ), break the cross, kill swine and call all humanity to Islam, as originally called upon by all the prophets including himself. Jesus shall be accompanied by an army of the righteous, they shall be very few in number—only 313—compared to the followers of the anti-Christ, however they shall win for they shall be fighting against darkness. Three plus one plus three equals seven[citation needed], a holy number in all Abrahamic religions. The Dajjal will wage war with his army of corrupt followers and mischief-makers and those have fallen under his deception. Second Coming - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shias believe that the true Muslim will know when the Mahdi has arrived. It is believed furthermore, that when the true Mahdi does arrive, the state of the world will be such that corruption will be at its greatest, and will have reached a level whereby it cannot grow worse. People claiming to be the Mahdi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
      ----
So how can he not be the second coming of christ. It is written in the Bible that he will not be called Jesus. Look at Elijah, he did not die, the jews propheciesed his return, and infact are still wayting for him. Christians believe, just as I do, that John the Babtist was the second coming of Elijah. Why, because Jesus told them.
Doesn't this sound a little bit similar to the Bahá'í Faith? Bahá'u'lláh said that he was the second coming of Christ, and christians don't believe him because he didn't come down from heaven as he said he would. mediforically speaking, he did, but christians don't see this. Just as the jews don't understand how John could be Elijah.

This is why I can’t do all Christian’s man . Most Christian’s will keep humanity divided and we all know god loves us all as one . Religion is what divided humanity in the first because of one’s faith but god said he wanted humanity to come together as one the devil wants to keep us apart. I don’t study no religion yet, but every Christian I come across is so hypocritical, always thinking of doing the deeds for Christ, but they’re totally doing the opposite.

This Faith is not a presentation of something new or at odds with other religions, but is a continuation and fulfillment of their promises. Mankind has matured spiritually and is now becoming ready for this beautiful revelation. Hence, the principles of unity, human nobility, universal education, etc. all resonate with mankind today. The problem is that the Baha'i idea of what Christianity is - differs from what is recorded in the Bible. Abdu'l-Baha was wrong about some of his Biblical interpretations, for example: equating Akka with the Valley of Achor, and a misinterpretation of the Resurrection. Also Jesus cast out demons which is recorded multiple times in the Bible yet Baha'i denies the existence of demons as anything but metaphor. The miraculous healing ability of Jesus is completely minimized in the Baha'i Faith, and considered unimportant because of course Baha'u'llah didn't have the ability to work healing miracles. The Baha'i Faith is absolutely NOT the same religion as Christianity. Please read the Bible, especially the Gospels, and learn the truth about what Christianity really is.

But the edict forbidding women to be equal participants in the UHJ, and now this deeply offensive demeaning of LGBTQ+ believers is an anathema to the core truths that Baha'u'llah promoted. There is something very wrong here in both messaging and claims to power. The Kitab-i-aqdas, written in poorly grammatical Arabic, is in stark contrast to Baha'u'lah's other writings in Persian. It smacks of fakery and has plunged this religion into cultism, with inequality and toxic prejudice dividing people against one another. .I continue to rail against this because it has broken my heart.

That's fine but to pretend that this is all based on either 1) logic or 2) a thorough understanding of Baha'i is pretty silly. For example, Baha'i doesn't believe that Baha'u'allah is the "ultimate revelator". There are more to come. Also, how is the argument that Islam rejected Baha'u'allah an argument against Baha'i? Judaism rejected Christ. Is that argument against the truth of Christianity?

"Baha'i doesn't believe that Baha'u'allah is the "ultimate revelator"." But, Bahai does misinterpret scriptures to make all other religions fit its view. In order to do that requires having a 'revelation' that no other religion has, and remolding all religions. Thus, being better than all other religions, since it interprets all religions in a way that those religions don't interpret themselves. So, therefore it is the ultimate revelator, but you've been fooled to think otherwise.

Dear Hank, Bahai’s don’t believe Baha’u’llah is the last Manifestation. There will be more to come. They will come every 1000 years approximately. Science and harmony are understood to be in harmony. Also, Bahai’s do not believe the Virgin Birth was not true. We also believe in the Trinity’s eschatological significance.
We believe in Trinity as this: the Father akin to the Sun, The Son as to a pure Mirror, and the Rays as the Holy Spirit.
We don’t denounce the Virgin Birth. Please read Some Answered Questions written by Abdu’lBaha there is a specific chapter about the Virgin Birth.
Also, humanity tends to reject the Manifestations of God. This is evident. We seek to teach God is One. And Baha’u’llah taught things relevant for our new age.
What Jesus Christ’s Teachings taught were relevant for that time period.
Hence we accept Christ, Moses, Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, as all from one source.
    One light, many lamps.
Please read “The Book of Certitude” by Baha’u’llah , I think you’d find it eye opening.

If the Baha'i Faith is going to claim there are Manifestions of God from previous dispensations who are all representing thesame God as Baha'u'llah, such as Jesus Christ’s Teachings, the onus of such Claim means you Baha'is have responsiblity to codify Why and how and which teachings are timeless and Universal (such as "The Golden Rule" or the Protection of children. @@seatlankau9468 Hey, thanks for sharing. I learned something new. In regard to your new age point, Even Islamic theology broke into new age theology, around mid 1700s. There were two scholars or Imams, one was Shaykh Ahmad. Shaykh Ahmad diverged from the Usuli school on key issues related to eschatology, the role of the ulama, and the proper interpretation of the mystical hadith of the Twelve Imams. These divergences, according to Bahá'í scholar Peter Smith, resulted in accusations of heresy from orthodox members of the Shia ulama, and instances of persecution against Ahsá'í and his followers occurred during and after his lifetime. His teachings were complex, thus he often practised Taqayya concealing his controversial ideas from his opponents.
Today, Shaykhí populations retain a minority following in Iran and Iraq. After the death of Shaykh Ahmad's successor, Kazim Rashti, many Shaykhís converted to Bábism and the Baháʼí faith; the two Shaykhí leaders continue to be highly regarded by the Babis and the Baháʼís, being seen as spiritual forerunners to their religions.
The other Imam was Ahmad Al Wahhab.
A young Hanbali cleric named Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab (1703-1792 C.E/ 1115-1206 A.H), the leader of the Muwahhidun and eponym of the Wahhabi movement, called upon his disciples to denounce certain beliefs and practices associated with cult of saints as idolatrous impurities and innovations in Islam (bid'ah). His movement emphasized adherence to the Quran and hadith, and advocated the use of ijtihad.Eventually, Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab formed a pact with a local leader, Muhammad bin Saud, offering political obedience and promising that protection and propagation of the Wahhabi movement meant "power and glory" and rule of "lands and men".
Already you can see, how the use of Islam politically became today’s Saudi influence. You can see how , clearly, people abuse God’s religion for selfish gain; or in the case of Saudi Arabia, political power and control.
I hope I shed some light on the Eastern side of the world’s dealings with New Age thought. As it wasn’t just Revivalism as you mentioned in the western hemisphere, but Eastern reform as well. I believe in my own opinion, people were simply trying to make sense of outdated ideas which no longer worked. It’s quite interesting as you dig deeper, by reading Thief in the Night, by William Sears, who later went on to become a Bahai and was appointed as a Hand of The Cause of God, on theology during the mid 1800s. Deviating from new age discourse was this scholarly calculation from Jewish Rabbis, Christian Priests, and Islamic Scholars, on an expectant “fulfillment” of prophecy during the year 1844! Of course , we Bahai’s know it to be, 1844, the year the Bab proclaimed to be the Imam Mahdi Islam was waiting for, and warned that someone far Greater than Him, would come as well shortly (Bahaullah in 1863) to fulfill the prophecy of Isa (Jesus Christ).
Hope that sheds some more light. As I truly believe we humans don’t have capacity to understand God fully, and His ways in which He mysteriously Reveals His Manifestations. People expected Jesus on a cloud, a literal cloud, with His same body and face. Just like Muslims cling to dogma and their own interpretation of Judgement Day and Imam Mahdi coming on Armageddon day.
No science based historical documentation shows anything close to what superstitious religious beliefs have to offer; for example, when Prophet Muhammad was said to have flown to Heaven, it is said the moon was split into two, hence the Crescent shape
Now, any logical man of science, knows, the moon is round, and sphere shaped. It is the sun which covers it partially.
Thats why we cant go 100% science and ignore God and go 100% dogma and ignore science. Hence Bahai tenet of Harmony between Science and Religion.
      God Bless You All

If we look back in history, ancient civilisations had a belief in many gods - African gods, Celtic gods, Greek gods, Norse gods, Roman gods, Egyptian gods, Fijian gods etc. This is part of the collective spiritual history of our ancestors. Had we been alive at those times, then we too might have held such beliefs. I see these beliefs as part of the collective spiritual history of the human race.

There is no compulsion on the children of Bahá'ís to accept their parents' faith, although the comprehensive spiritual education they receive means that they are likely to stay Bahá'í.
    Seeking peace
The Bahá'í community explicitly seeks to eliminate conflicts between religions, and to encourage cooperation between different faith communities.
    Comparing beliefs
Bahá'ís do not believe that their faith contains the final and complete truth of religion. They think it is the most complete set of truths available in our present time, which is not at all the same thing.
Since Bahá'ís believe that all religions come from a single source they are happy to study other religions as 'earlier chapters of the same changeless faith of God'.
The Bahá'í faith is not an imperialist faith - it does not seek to end religious differences by getting the members of other faiths to become Bahá'ís.
    Transforming each other
While Bahá'ís don't believe they have the final truth, they do believe that by engaging in dialogue with other faiths they create the opportunity for the other faiths to be changed in ways that promote the Bahá'í idea of unity.
They also accept that the Bahá'í faith can benefit from the insights of the other faiths.
    Why religions differ
There are two reasons why religions are different, despite springing from the same source:
Different societies and different times had different needs
The great religions present themselves to suit their context
    Humanity is developing
as time passed, humankind became more spiritually aware, and able to understand more of the truth
Different religions were founded at different times, and so they presented the truth in ways that human beings could understand at the level of spiritual maturity humanity possessed at that time
Shoghi Effendi taught that the different religions were like "stages in the eternal history and constant evolution of one religion".

Right, so now we need more clear dowry laws for marriage. And now people need to give "nine mithquals of gold" to a "Universe House of Justice" each time they do adultery. And when a husband and wife argue while traveling, he is to send her away (back home) and give her a year's expenses." This is all from the Bahai "Book Of Laws," the Kitab-i-Aqdas. And loads of other crap.
Thank God the glorious "Baha'u'llah" has updated our social laws! To "meet the demands of the age"! (Yet nothing in the "Book Of Laws" about transgenderism, gay marriage, genetic engineering, pedophilia, rape, pornography, or the environment. And a host of dire problems that face us in this age.)

Never ask a Bible answer man about other religions, because he is bias, and you won't get even close to the truth!! The divine Messengers come at different times, to different peoples, different nations, and different cultures, so Their Messages are different!! As to what Baha'is believe about the different Messengers of God there is this.... "Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute. God, the Creator, saith: There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message. They all have but one purpose; their secret is the same secret."

The problem with many Christians is that they are fanatic. They always hold on what they hear and told. They don't read the Holy Writings for themselves and depend on other mere human beings who are just like them to read and interpret for them. If you didn't see Jesus Christ while He was here on earth for the first time, how will you recognize Him during His second coming? Do you think if He comes today, will He be same as He was? How will you know that He is actually the one when you don't know how He looked like before? You can only identify this Great Man as mentioned by Christ Himself, His actions will tell you who He is. Does Baha'u'llah don't fulfill that? To any fanatic and closed minded Christian like you, it is yes.

Krishna is god and Confucius is not considered as a prophet. Some religions are monotheistic and some are not. Even among the monotheistic religions, concept of God, his qualities and attributes are vastly different that one may wonder if those religions are talking about the same god. The prevailing view, held by 61% of Hindus, is that there is one God “with many manifestations.” About three-in-ten Indian Hindus (29%) say simply: “There is only one God.”

I’m an agnostic getting very close to atheism, but I have to say this: the world would be a much better place if the Baha’i were leading.
I have never seen any religion with such wonderful principles and guidance for humanity. Also, they are the best, most loving and respectful people I had met. They never committed crimes against humanity, never mocked other religions and beliefs, they are spreading peace and prosperity wherever they go, and yet they are persecuted by the most violent of all religions, which is Islam.
While people take time to create mockery content about the Baha’is, like this very video, while the Islamic butchers that govern Iran are killing the Baha’is, the Baha’i people are out there working to make this world prosperous.
Again, I’m not religious and I will never be one, but there is something their prophet said that resonates with me:
When asked how we could know about the authenticity of himself, their prophet said: The fruits of my followers will show.
So… Here we are. Every single place where the Baha’is are present, there is peace, prosperity, love, tolerance, acceptance, high levels of education, and many other good things. That’s every single place they touch.
Now, just for comparison, take a look on all the places in this world were Islam is present, then see which fruits are the best.

@@BibleAnswerManone more evidence to back my statements. You will never see a Baha’i mocking or putting your religion under skepticism or doubt. You will never see a Baha’i creating content like this with the pure intent of undermining the validity of your faith. You will never see a Baha’i debating religion, praying in public, attacking other forms of faith or being aggressive towards another person just because of their belief. You will never see a Baha’i involved in politics or even discussing politics. They don’t want to be right about which religion is the one. Instead, they want society to progress. The Baha’is have greater goals in life and are out there achieving these goals.
If you are skeptic, maybe it’s time to go and check with them instead of taking the words and descriptions about them, from those who hate them. I remember everything from my biblical studies, when I used to be a Christian, and I’m pretty sure Jesus condemned mockery and lies. Right?

“In thine esteemed letter thou hadst inquired which of the Prophets of God should be regarded as superior to others. Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute. God, the Creator, saith: There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message. They all have but one purpose; their secret is the same secret. To prefer one in honor to another, to exalt certain ones above the rest, is in no wise to be permitted. Every true Prophet hath regarded His Message as fundamentally the same as the Revelation of every other Prophet gone before Him.”

Funny thing is Bahai copies a lot from Sikhism but doesn’t believe Sikh Gurus are divine yet believes every other religions prophet/teacher are 🤔
To me the Sikh Gurus were more Enlightened then any of the other Gurus( teachers) or prophets but if they aren’t to be recognized as such is fine of course but then why is Sikhi the most similar religion to Bahai, and yet recognize every other religions gurus except the Sikh Gurus ?

It makes sense that Baha’i, being a very pluralistic religion, finds respect for Sikh Gurus, at least superficial elements of their teachings that can be generally accepted by all. But whether modern Sikhism will see any validity to the central figures of Baha'i is unknown. See our assessment on Sikhism: www.equip.org/articles/neither-hindu-nor-muslim/

Bahá'u'llah was a man ,I just don't agree that when Christ returns that he returns as Bahá'u'llah.
Yes, I know in Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

@@PerfectTommy81 Baha'u'llah was a megalomaniac who wanted what his half-brother had - the right to be successor to the Bab. He was deluded into thinking he was something special. He was charismatic enough to get other people to believe him. He wrote some books, most of which are insanely boring. He was so self-centered he even got all you Baha'is to turn toward his dead body once a day to pray. He married four wives but you can have only one. You are in a cult. A big overgrown cult, but a cult none the less. Baha'is are so "unified' that they've excommunicated and shunned every living relative of Baha'u'llah. Some unity! Baha'i style. At least six of Baha'u'llah's own children died in early childhood - because he had no healing power such as Christ had. Bottom line - Baha'u'llah was not the return of Jesus Christ. He was nothing like Jesus.

A God-man does not have a glaring, unattractive face and persona. I suspect Baha'u'llah also had a receding chin and would have looked like a frog without his beard. He was also a dwarf or a semi-dwarf, though this has been hidden by the Baha'is.

Good analysis... I was a Baha'i for thirty years. I left because there was a prophecy that the "Lesser Peace" would begin by the year 2000. That didn't happen. Baha'i was a religion of many disappointments for me... but I'm grateful to say I've found true inner peace and the blessings of the Holy Spirit by surrendering my life to Jesus: the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

I was a Baha'i thirteen years. I left when I got hold of a copy of the entire Kitab-i-Aqdas (Baha'i Book of Laws). All that time we were telling us "It's not been translated yet" because they didn't want us to see it. It HAD been translated: By an Arabic scholar in the 1960s, and much earlier in a translation called the Haddad translation. One read of that book and I knew we had been lied to and embraced a fake, constructed religion with little relation to it's "central scripture." I also found that the Baha'is were anti-mystical, which doesn't make any sense. I also was noticing Baha'is seemed to be screwed up people with a lot of divorce, the children screwed up, and no real interested in the mysteries of religion. Reading "Autobiography of a Yogi" really marked the death of my interest in Baha'i.

Christianity is divided into 50,000 sects on interpretation of the bible and many other issues. This speaker is a literalist and misinterprets scripture in the worst way. The differences in world religions happen for the same reasons there are differences within Christianity. Misinterpretation of scripture causes the appearance of inconsistences. However, the Golden Rule and reward and punishment are in every world religion. Baha'u'llah is the return of Christ by a new name, The Glory of the Father.

Thers is only one great man master Jesus. There is no historical evidence that Jesus was a Christian, Jesus taught universal teaches which are still apllicable even totay. As man thinketh so he is. You reap what you so. What does Bahai teaches, unity. Unity in what??? Mankind has been united throuhout the ages since the creation.

Matthew Chapter 7 "15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Guardian of the Baha'i Faith Writes in Promised Day is Copme "The chief idols in the desecrated temple of mankind are none other than the triple gods of Nationalism, Racialism and Communism, at whose altars governments and peoples, whether democratic or totalitarian, at peace or at war, of the East or of the West, Christian or Islamic, are, in various forms and in different degrees, now worshiping. Their high priests are the politicians and the worldly-wise, the so-called sages of the age; their sacrifice, the flesh and blood of the slaughtered multitudes; their incantations outworn shibboleths and insidious and irreverent formulas; their incense, the smoke of anguish that ascends from the lacerated hearts of the bereaved, the maimed, and the homeless."
