I was baptised a Christian before taking Shada and becoming Muslim. I used to describe my self as a hybrid of Christianity and Islam. I would essentially say all the major religions are teach the same message the problem being the various religions argue of irrelevant differences and forget the main message. It's amazing that people from other Religions are always arguing. My way, your way, this and that. If Religion be the cause of enmity and strife, it's better to not have religion. The word Religion comes from the latin word Ligo. which means to bind, Re means Again. Religion = to bind again. Any action that's not binding humanity is not Religion. Bahai Religion accepts everyone. Spend some time and read some of the authentic writings and see what it is you disagree with. If you're honest and objective its difficult not to see that there is something meaningful to look into.

Investigate for yourselves and you will find its truth and beauty and the unifying impact of its teachings...all religions are different chapters of the same book of religion from the same God, given to mankind according to their needs and capacities at the time. The Bahai faith has many principles that appeal to reason, and they do not decry any other religions but maintain that they have the culmination of all previous teachings. Which is why I had originally joined the Bahai faith. All the ideas about Human Society are progressive, including such as "The oneness of Science and Religion". But the reason that I left the Bahais is because they were headed down the same road as Christianity, ignoring the CENTRAL CORE OF THE TEACHING. The CENTRAL CORE of Christianity is "Created in the Image and Likeness of God" and Jesus taught the same thing: "The God Within", the very antithesis of the Jewish Temple at that time, which was an EXTERNAL GOD, and bring lots of money and sacrifices. The Bahai faith also includes this same "God Within" concept as Christianity, as in "All you can know about God is what you can Know about your own Self". If that is true then everything that "appears" in the EXTERNAL WORLD comes from WITHIN. And if you want to change the EXTERNAL WORLD, then you start FROM WITHIN. The ancient KNOW THYSELF concept. Yet like Christianity the Bahais ignore this "exploring" and "understanding" this "God Within" concept, and then they start trying to CHANGE THE WORLD by EXTERNAL MEANS, without first getting to the root of the INTERNAL. All of the ATTRIBUTES of "The God Within", and "understanding" or "not understanding" that is what either EMPOWERS you, or DISEMPOWERS you. They have a list of the ATTRIBUTES OF GOD, such as ETERNAL, OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT etc. and then ignore any teachings THAT IS ALL WITHIN US, WE ARE IN THAT SAME IMAGE. Everything in the EXTERNAL WORLD, first ORIGINATES from WITHIN OUR OWN SELVES. That is where we have to START. Prayer and meditation is not to SOME EXTERNAL GOD, it it the strengthening of the IMAGE and INTENTION of the God Within Us. “Truly I tell you, if anyone SAYS to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but BELIEVES that what they SAY will happen, it will be done for them." - Mark 11:23 That is the OMNIPOTENT attribute of God Within, to speak it into EXISTENCE, if you truly know and believe THAT YOU ARE THE IMAGE OF GOD. And what that really means. The Bahai also have that (image of God) in their writings, but ignore it and any teachings about it. I once heard a Bahai discourse on the "Human Soul" and the concept that it was created at birth, but after that had no end. Not very logical if we are "In the IMAGE OF GOD" who is ETERNAL, meaning NO BEGINNING and NO END.
Excellent video though I don’t see how you can say that God is unknowable and then say anything about him. Put another way, how would you know that God is unknowable? That question aside, I pray these people will be blessed and listened to.
The way I've heard this explaned, and have come to understand myself, is that the only way to know God is by reading and trying to understand the Writings and what the Manifestations of God taught. So God is unknowable, but we are able to gain a basic understanding of who God is through the Writings and Manifestations. Also, the idea of thinking of a mirror that reflects the sun. The Manifestations of God have clean mirrors that perfectly reflect the sun, yet the reflection can't show all parts of the sun. The sun, in this case, represents God and how the Manifestations can not reflect God in His entirety. Therefore, even the Writings and Manifestations, we can't fully understand or comprehend who God is
Son basically this faith tries to make all religious leaders equal and every road goes to God! Jesus don't fit the qualifications. He was born of a virgin, His father is GOD, He died and was resurrected. He was prophesied thousands of years before He was born. No other leader has ever had this type of resume and this religion states that they are equal. Reminds me of Peter on the mount of configuration.
Jesus was not the son of a virgin. When the Septuagint was being translated the prophecy saying the Messiah would be born of a maiden was changed. The original Hebrew says maiden, but at the time many virgin born deities were prominent. Amen in Egypt, Heracles in Greece. When they translated the word maiden instead of using the Greek word for maiden they used the word for Virgin to add current prestige to their Messiah and to appeal to the believers of Virgin born deities. We have the original texts and I always implore people to read the original Hebrew or Aramaic instead of the corrupted Greek. The depictions of Jesus's conception is also identical to Zeus conceiving Heracles down to the golden light from heaven shining on Mary in artwork instead of Heracles' mother.

It’s interesting they include Buddha here, as he denied being a god, an offspring of a god, or a messenger of a god. In most of the scriptures he teaches that metaphysical speculation about such things is irrelevant as it has nothing to do with human suffering here and now. While I certainly don’t fault these folks for their worldview, as it seems very tolerant and inclusive, it may be not quite right with the teachings of what it’s trying to include.

The problem with these prophets like muhammad and baha are that they were normal humans who saw visions and got revelations and they made new religions, even today many men and women get revelations and see visions, now if every one of them started creating new faiths than the world would be in array.

They brought forth revelations of spiritual teachings, predictions, and laws laid down in the form of a book. Our job is to search out and test the truth of those words. That is what our predecessors had to do during the early years of the Christian era. They had to read the gospel book and find certitude that it was the truth from God as tailored for that dispensation. So go forth and read the revealed words of Baha'u'llah and determine for yourself if they are or are not like the choicest of unsealed wines, a salve and an anodyne for the soul.
@@KarKara-jw1if Well one can't read a more authoritative source within the Bible than Jesus's own words, and the account of Jesus's own actions: Take for example the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain recounted in Matthew 17:3 "Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus." That meant Jesus was elevated UP TO and EQUAL with Moses and Elijah. Not greater than. Moses embodying the Law and Elijah embodying the prophets. Thus Jesus being called forth and chosen to embody the message of both the law and the prophets. In that vein in Matthew 5:17 we read: "17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. " An important and unique station to be sure - indeed the only way to God for that dispensation. But not outside the realm of a messenger. And in Mark 14:61: "...the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah..." and in Mark 14:62: "“I am,” said Jesus." Messiah as we all know is an Hebrew/Aramaic word meaning a humble servant chosen (anointed) by God to be his messenger. The words of Paul, the apostles, or other early church authors should not be elevated to eclipse what Jesus Himself said and did.
Do you know what the word Christ means? Most Christian's don't. It is not Jesus Christ. It's Jesus "The Christ". Jesus also said in the Bible to the Jewish rabbis at the time who where waiting for Elijah's return that Jesus was Elijah if they would accept it. In the Bible in the book of numbers it also tells you the year in which the Second coming of Jesus would return. If you are a true seeker, looking for truth read the whole Bible to inform yourself more fully.
They were not normal humans. They "manifested" the Holy Spirit just as much as Jesus. If you study the Bab and Baha'u'llah and their teachings and read about how they fulfilled promises in the Bible, then this becomes evident. No ordinary human can possess knowledge of the past, present, and future and reveal verses from God. See Isaiah 41:21-24 and then study.

I would essentially say all the major religions are teach the same message the problem being the various religions argue of irrelevant differences and forget the main message. The Bahai faith has many principles that appeal to reason, and they do not decry any other religions but maintain that they have the culmination of all previous teachings. Which is why I had originally joined the Bahai faith. All the ideas about Human Society are progressive, including such as "The oneness of Science and Religion".
But the reason that I left the Bahais is because they were headed down the same road as Christianity, ignoring the CENTRAL CORE OF THE TEACHING. The CENTRAL CORE of Christianity is "Created in the Image and Likeness of God" and Jesus taught the same thing: "The God Within", the very antithesis of the Jewish Temple at that time, which was an EXTERNAL GOD, and bring lots of money and sacrifices.
The Bahai faith also includes this same "God Within" concept as Christianity, as in "All you can know about God is what you can Know about your own Self". If that is true then everything that "appears" in the EXTERNAL WORLD comes from WITHIN. And if you want to change the EXTERNAL WORLD, then you start FROM WITHIN. The ancient KNOW THYSELF concept.
Yet like Christianity the Bahais ignore this "exploring" and "understanding" this "God Within" concept, and then they start trying to CHANGE THE WORLD by EXTERNAL MEANS, without first getting to the root of the INTERNAL. All of the ATTRIBUTES of "The God Within", and "understanding" or "not understanding" that is what either EMPOWERS you, or DISEMPOWERS you.
They have a list of the ATTRIBUTES OF GOD, such as ETERNAL, OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT etc. and then ignore any teachings THAT IS ALL WITHIN US, WE ARE IN THAT SAME IMAGE. Everything in the EXTERNAL WORLD, first ORIGINATES from WITHIN OUR OWN SELVES. That is where we have to START. Prayer and meditation is not to SOME EXTERNAL GOD, it it the strengthening of the IMAGE and INTENTION of the God Within Us.
“Truly I tell you, if anyone SAYS to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but BELIEVES that what they SAY will happen, it will be done for them." - Mark 11:23 That is the OMNIPOTENT attribute of God Within, to speak it into EXISTENCE, if you truly know and believe THAT YOU ARE THE IMAGE OF GOD. And what that really means.
The Bahai also have that (image of God) in their writings, but ignore it and any teachings about it. I once heard a Bahai discourse on the "Human Soul" and the concept that it was created at birth, but after that had no end. Not very logical if we are "In the IMAGE OF GOD" who is ETERNAL, meaning NO BEGINNING and NO END.

The way I've heard this explaned, and have come to understand myself, is that the only way to know God is by reading and trying to understand the Writings and what the Manifestations of God taught. So God is unknowable, but we are able to gain a basic understanding of who God is through the Writings and Manifestations. Also, the idea of thinking of a mirror that reflects the sun. The Manifestations of God have clean mirrors that perfectly reflect the sun, yet the reflection can't show all parts of the sun. The sun, in this case, represents God and how the Manifestations can not reflect God in His entirety. Therefore, even the Writings and Manifestations, we can't fully understand or comprehend who God is
Baha'i faith is the latest and supreme religion of God for the mankind for 500,000 years. It is the sole panacea for all the problems of this world.
I’m Christian Byzantine rite but this interested me in college it is along the same world view of perennialism.
Son basically this faith tries to make all religious leaders equal and every road goes to God! Jesus don't fit the qualifications. He was born of a virgin, His father is GOD, He died and was resurrected. He was prophesied thousands of years before He was born. No other leader has ever had this type of resume and this religion states that they are equal. Reminds me of Peter on the mount of configuration.
Jesus was not the son of a virgin. When the Septuagint was being translated the prophecy saying the Messiah would be born of a maiden was changed. The original Hebrew says maiden, but at the time many virgin born deities were prominent. Amen in Egypt, Heracles in Greece. When they translated the word maiden instead of using the Greek word for maiden they used the word for Virgin to add current prestige to their Messiah and to appeal to the believers of Virgin born deities. We have the original texts and I always implore people to read the original Hebrew or Aramaic instead of the corrupted Greek.
The depictions of Jesus's conception is also identical to Zeus conceiving Heracles down to the golden light from heaven shining on Mary in artwork instead of Heracles' mother.

It’s interesting they include Buddha here, as he denied being a god, an offspring of a god, or a messenger of a god. In most of the scriptures he teaches that metaphysical speculation about such things is irrelevant as it has nothing to do with human suffering here and now. The problem with these prophets like muhammad and baha are that they were normal humans who saw visions and got revelations and they made new religions, even today many men and women get revelations and see visions, now if every one of them started creating new faiths than the world would be in array.

That is what our predecessors had to do during the early years of the Christian era. They had to read the gospel book and find certitude that it was the truth from God as tailored for that dispensation.
So go forth and read the revealed words of Baha'u'llah and determine for yourself if they are or are not like the choicest of unsealed wines, a salve and an anodyne for the soul.

@@KarKara-jw1if Well one can't read a more authoritative source within the Bible than Jesus's own words, and the account of Jesus's own actions:
Take for example the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain recounted in Matthew 17:3 "Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus." That meant Jesus was elevated UP TO and EQUAL with Moses and Elijah. Not greater than. Moses embodying the Law and Elijah embodying the prophets. Thus Jesus being called forth and chosen to embody the message of both the law and the prophets.
In that vein in Matthew 5:17 we read:
"17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. " An important and unique station to be sure - indeed the only way to God for that dispensation. But not outside the realm of a messenger.
And in Mark 14:61:
"...the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah..." and in Mark 14:62: "“I am,” said Jesus." Messiah as we all know is an Hebrew/Aramaic word meaning a humble servant chosen (anointed) by God to be his messenger.
The words of Paul, the apostles, or other early church authors should not be elevated to eclipse what Jesus Himself said and did.
Do you know what the word Christ means? Most Christian's don't. It is not Jesus Christ. It's Jesus "The Christ". Jesus also said in the Bible to the Jewish rabbis at the time who where waiting for Elijah's return that Jesus was Elijah if they would accept it. In the Bible in the book of numbers it also tells you the year in which the Second coming of Jesus would return. If you are a true seeker, looking for truth read the whole Bible to inform yourself more fully.
They were not normal humans. They "manifested" the Holy Spirit just as much as Jesus. If you study the Bab and Baha'u'llah and their teachings and read about how they fulfilled promises in the Bible, then this becomes evident. No ordinary human can possess knowledge of the past, present, and future and reveal verses from God. See Isaiah 41:21-24 and then study.

Bahá’u’lláh (The founder of the Baha'i faith) says that religion must be conducive to love and unity. If it proves to be the source of hatred and enmity, its absence is preferable; for the will and law of God is love, and love is the bond between human hearts. Religion is the light of the world. If it is made the cause of darkness through human misunderstanding and ignorance, it would be better to do without it.

@@cheridalydia The point is that the Bahá'í Faith is not a "traditional" cult, where you are completely enslaved, such as Scientology does, but this is a "soft" cult, where you are seduced through their "innocent" ideas of world peace, equality, unity of mankind etc. HOWEVER, as soon as you join it, you start to be immersed in a toxic dynamic where you should live to proselytize ("to teach" the Faith ) and your life starts to be watched and eventually controlled through "lovely advises". The brainwashing inside the Faith comes with a shape of "submission to God" where you should face a constant struggle to accept all absurdities that are told as if they were nothing but a product of your lack of comprehension on this great plan from God to humanity where you have to dedicate to "deepening" more and more (i.e. brainwash yourself).
Another point is the total dissonance between reality and the fantasy created in the mind of the Bahá'ís, blinding their eyes completely. The homophobia from Shoghi Effendi, the misogyny from Abdul-Bahá all totally corroborated by the UHJ, are not seen as such by the Bahá'ís, but as part of the "wisdom" inside a "divine plan" to humanity, thus, despite the homophobic letters from Shoghi Effendi and the misogynistic positions from Abdu'l-Baha, they are not homophobic neither misogynist, you know?
