Sharon and Jay really made things happen with this great hymn. Pretty sure the folks at FUMC in Houston will continue to be inspired by this great music. It is singable, unlike some styles.
Yes they should. Not that I have anything against Contemporary but it feels like I'm at a rock concert inside a church. I'm all fire and brimstone when it comes to hearing good traditional music that is performed in church.
Man, Miss Sharon can play that piano! I love that gospel style of piano hymn accompaniment, and wish I could do it myself. It's very definitely an art in itself, since those embellishments are all improvised on the fly. I love that the lead is taken by the organ, though, and there's not "happy clappy" (praise bands), at least for the hymns. It's wonderful to see a fine pipe organ that is still being used regularly. What makes this unique, to me anyway, is that this is not a Baptist congregation, but a United Methodist congregation. Not a typical style in the Methodist circles. I love it!
Yes my brothers and sisters. The lady mentioned whose name I hav only jus this moment known Sharon. My goodness she can really make that piano TALK. I was transfixed by her ability
With all of the choruses that repeat the same thing over and over again. The searching just to get the broadman hymnal songs. Thank you so very much! ❤️
Sharon is very talented, she can play and not miss a beat. I wished I could do all the embellishments to the sheet music to make it sound so full and rich! Organist is good too, both GREAT together. Keep up the good work.
I also wish churches would get back to this

Pipe Organ and Piano and Choir just can't beat that combination on a Sunday morning. A lot of churches should go back to this.
You got THAT right !!!

I’m the organist at my church and I LOVE when we have organ, piano, and choir together
LOVE the way Sharon makes the piano "sing!" She adds much to the hymn and worship services!
Where is she now?
Give me the hymns any day over the guitars, drums, and praise groups.
Sharon is amazing
Absolutely brilliant
What a tremendous ENSEMBLE! And a PERFECT pianist/accompanist!

2:03 - the pianist is playing so many notes it looks like the piano is smoking!
Isn't that the truth! I bet those hammers are smoking hot when she's done. This is fabulous.
That is the way I play and I love her playing!!!!!
She has to compete with the organist.

Ngbbbvff fun
Pianist is ahead of the beat. Needs to share with the others instead of constantly over playing.
She is NOT “Overplaying”!!
I've listened to this several times. Not hearing what you are saying. If I'm wrong, I'd prefer to compliememt the pianist. Amazing rendition
No she’s not. She is on top of the beat as it should be.
