Peter cook and Dudley moore were both Genius in their time and are and remain the best comedians of yesteryear along with the 2 Ronnies. RIP.

The word Genius is banded around and used far, fae too frequently....bit like Celebrity....going forward (another one)

Great hilarious mixed parody/satire on American Rhythm and Blues music and dashes of artists James Brown, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and a pinch of Jerry Lee Lewis even.

There is a part that is missing around the 1:10 mark where Peter actually questions Dud about his introduction, "The Great Coloured Jazz Singer".Peter says he's confused about him being white and Dud replies that it emphasises on him being the colour pink.

One of the funniest Cook and Moore sketches. It never ever fails to make me LOL. However, I'm not sure if this was the original that I heard at the time (60's) radio or record version. I definitely remember a slightly different way Dud replied to the question by Peter: "How were the grooves done?", Dud replies: "With a groover" and that was the best punch line of the entire sketch. This version slightly augments the "with a groover" reply and very slightly spoils it. (Could be wrong though) Whatever, it is Totally hilarious and thanks for showing.

Also, Pete introduces Dud as a colored jazz singer, and asks him what color he is actually. Dud says something like pink and white "and a little blue around the chin".

No they didn't... they had a very complicated relationship, greatly influenced by their respective personalities and insecurities.
People who hate each other do not create anything, but misery for anyone unlucky enough to encounter both together.
Do not dilute the significance of the word hate!

Yes it is. It's offensive but then it was also intended to show them as racist Englishmen. The question is should this be aired on the BBC anymore to a largely white audience.
