    I was using the structure template for my work. I followed all the steps like you said but it only showed the curtain wall. Apparently the glass was still missing within the wall . But when i tried these steps in construction and architectural template it worked like a charm. I still dont know what I did wrong while using structural template but I'm glad that I can do this in other templates. Thanks a lot for the help.

    Thanks so much Travis. Very nice you explained this. I need to know about this since we are designing a skyscraper. And I love organic shapes. I love how fairly easy you made it to be. Great job !

    Yes, to get a more accurate illustration of curtain walls in a curvaceous form, you would need to use the adaptive components. There are predefined curtain wall grids for curved walls, otherwise you would need to create your own curtain wall panel family.

    I finally understand what massing is for hahaha. Question: for the curtain wall, I have a curved facade, but the roof is also curved. Can I adjust the top profile to not be flat to one level/plane? Excellent video btw! Thank you!

    Hi, how do you make a simple curved wall that is curved only vertically? Say if you had a rectangluar prism, and needed to curve only one wall vertically to the roof? When I try your method, the wall just becomes straight on an angle, when I need it to be curved.

    Hi Ravi, what has happened is that your View Settings for that view are set to 'Show Mass by View Settings'. Try accessing the Massing and Site Tab, and in the Conceptual Mass panel, use the drop down menu to select 'Show Mass Form and Floors' It has an icon with a lightbulb on it. If this still doesn't work, you may have Mass unchecked in model categories in your Visibility/Graphics settings in your view properties.

    Every time I try to create system like you did in 6:20, I get the message "None of the created elements are visible in 3D View: {3D} View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings." I tried to play around little but but still its not working. Can you tell me how to solve this? Please

    Thanks a lot! I have a question - Is there any way to make an opening in a curved wall, which is not an arc, but the way you create it?

    • @Idesignsolrobots
      @Idesignsolrobots  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a couple ways of creating openings in curved walls. One way is to create a void in your mass, and then when you apply the wall type to the face of the mass, it should leave the opening. The other is to use the Shaft or Opening tools. In this respect, you can create a square opening in curved wall. Unfortunately, one can't use the Edit Profile option, as the curved wall does not have a plane for you to modify the profile sketch. You can also get some interesting features by using a roof or floor on slopes, and using the Attach Top/Base option and then removing the floor or roof after.

    Is there a way to rotate the grid layout? When I click the Configure Grid Layout icon there's no option for changing the angle, and no option in the properties menu, just justification and offset.

    • @Idesignsolrobots
      @Idesignsolrobots  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I'm not mistaken, you will change it in the U and V directions in the properties panel. You can change the angles from 0 to 90 degrees for angled mullions.

    In terms of Design its ok..in terms of Architecture this is useless and wrong. The glass pannels must to have a normal insert instead of rare individual angles.
