    Thanks to Biggs Harley Davidson in San Marcos, Ca. for letting me take this bike for so many miles. It's my longest ride to date, on a bike that I've reviewed so I got to know a lot about it's performance and comfort.
    It rides smoothly as you would expect and with the 114 motor, it has enough power to easily cruise at higher speeds. Obviously, this bike is made for travel and you can pack quite a bit in and on it with the luggage package.
    I felt great even after 530 miles from San Diego, Ca. to South Lake Tahoe but I must mention that my lower back and butt got a little sore. That's due to not only the distance, but my fitness level (zero), as well.
    Pros: Smooth, powerful, comfortable, visible with the lighting system (a plus for safety), and a great looking bike.
    Cons: Heavy, challenging while making u-turns or riding very slowly in a parking scenario. You get used to it over time but I thought it worthy to mention this.
    Overall, for $30,000 or more (depending on the package), I think this bike is a thumbs up if you're looking to do long distance trips.
    Thanks for watching and ride safely...

    My dream bike in that color. I seen one at El Cajon HD and price was $54k!!! And my bike is in-op right now after riding thru a flash flood and pea sized hail from Borrego to Julian. Dude we got SOAKED! By the time we got to Julian it was COLD, WET, and we were pretty beat up from the hail. The bike made it home but after setting for a few days something isn't right. I think water worked it's way into the electronics. I mean it was like riding thru a waterfall the whole time. Life threatening flash flooding was pretty gnarley. The worst part? Having to slow down to 10mph from Borrego to Julian. Even at 10mph the hail got us pretty bad. Was raining so hard I missed the turnoff going to Warner Springs (The lower elevation route), and the higher we got up Banner Grade the colder it got and rain was turning to sleet and hail. Big mistake leaving Borrego when I did thinking I could out run the storm. I was in it 5 minutes after I left Borrego.

      Holy crap!!! First off, I'm very glad that you are around to tell the story. Second, I'm bummed about your bike and I hope you get it back up and running the way you want it to, soon. Third, that very bike that I just reviewed is $30K at Biggs Harley in San Marcos, Ca. Just letting you know. Ride safely and I hope to see you on the road soon.

    I wish I could have gone full Ultra on my Road Glide. Same color and wonderful. Would love the lower fairings, top box, taller rear suspension and 114. Heated grips nicer seat etc etc. Great review Clint!

    I have one from 2021. I rides great! The brakes are crap and renew the frontdisks already 2 times (now at 40.000km). But you are gonna love these bike when you have it longer.

    Nice bike, but I wouldn't use any of the electronics on that dash. I would only use the speedometer, fuel gauge and the cruise control. I don't use my phone or listen to music when I ride.

    • @wolco003
      @wolco003 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think lots of people say that. I did. I originally thought I wanted an Electra Glide Standard. Fairing and no electronics with a good price. At the time new was hard to find, used was selling for more than MSRP and I made the mistake of test riding a Road Glide. Navigation on your phone might be better if you needed it but the music is AWESOME!

      @@wolco003 Used ones here are higher than new ones also. Doesn't make any sense. I'm curious if you rode a bike with the batwing fairing and if so how it compares to the sharknose. I prefer the layout of the gauges on the batwing myself. Someone told me their passenger got more wind on the RoadGlide since the windshield was farther away. Curious what your experience is. Thanks.

      I have several friends who don't listen to music, either. They just want the road and the wind noise. I get it. Thanks for watching.

      @@CraigSmith568 Someone did not like my detailed reply...🙄🤞🎬Take 2
      I test rode both and you should too. If you really like the looks of one model but wind is an issue, seat height and windshield changes can make the bike suit you. I found the stock Street Glide windshield made my glasses unstable on my face. A taller windshield or full face would fix it. I like the Shark Nose look and the fixed fairing. I knew which one I wanted before leaving lot where we switched bikes (New Street Glide to Used Road Glide) There was no question. If you want one model over another in most cases a down payment will get you one within the week. And unfortunately I cannot speak to 2 up riding.

      @@wolco003 Thanks for the reply. I'm not really looking right now, but if I do I will definitely ride both.

      My inseam is 29 inches, which is very short for my height. I'm 5'10" and it feels good to me. Let me know if you try one out and how it went. Ride safely?

    The cruise control seems backwards to me, up/forward is slow and down is to accelerate. Weird.

      He said it backwards. On my 2023 Ultra Limited up is up in speed and down is to slow down by a MPH. Up or Down will Resume after you've hit the brake.

    I have that bike. Handles very nicely, comfortable, and has a ton of options.
    However the drawbacks are what you get for the price. The stereo is pathetic, and the engine is not that great. Not to mention the cheap bulb turn signals.
    Definitely expensive for what you get.

    • @MotorcycleMonkey
      @MotorcycleMonkey  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bummer about the stereo. I didn't notice it because I was on a com system for a lot of the trip to Tahoe. I'd love to own one but out of my price range at the moment. Thanks for watching and ride safely.
