i'm 19 years old, i just bought my Harley Road Glide Limited yesterday and i absolutely love this bike. my boyfriend sits behind me, he loves it so much too. tomorrow we're going on a road trip from The Netherlands (our country) to the south of France. but to everyone who wants a bike, i recommend this bike👌🏽🤘🏽

Thanks for doing this review. I have just started looking at getting a new bike last week, initially I was drawn to the Street Glide ST but thinking about my 12yo sitting on the back I ended up taking him for a ride on a 2020 Ultra Limited, and he loved it. It is the first big tourer I had ridden. My previous bikes have been a heavily modified '05 Sporty XLC (883 to a tyre frying 1250), a '10 WideGlide, which also got the full blown treatment and then a Stage III Vrod Muscle which was an absolute beast. None of these were suitable for two-up touring or having my kids on the back, they were weapons. The FLHTK although much heavier and different, really impressed me with its manouverability at slow speed. High speed it felt like I was in a luxury bus with the stereo blasting at 110km/h my young fella and I could hear it perfectly. I am now in the process of purchasing a 2022 FLHTK midnight crimson with blackout. No mods or extras on this one, I found it to be exactly what I wanted straight off the shop floor...... Well, at the moment anyway ;)
I rode Shovelhead's for years then my first Heritage in 1994. My second Heritage in 2010 and now as of 5.13.2021 a new Tri Glide Ultra. Great ride. Call me old cause I am. 69 years old and now I am going to enjoy my last years riding with a. radio and trike comfort. I have as of 6.3.2021 almost 400 miles on my break in.
I just bought my first Harley-Davidson...a '22 Ultra Limited Blacked Out. I really appreciate the direct nature of your reviews. Fair and honest. Thank you.
I have a 2017 ultra limited and I really like the hydraulic clutch. It did have a recall fix but it never was a problem. The only problem I've had was oil pump. Had to replace at 43k. At stage 2 now with S&S parts plus HD torque cam. Thing now is a hot rod
I absolutely love my Ultra Limited, I love taking it on road trips to Northern Michigan to the U.P and camping along the way, would love to plan a cross country trip. Awesome video
Test rode a 2018 Honda Gold Wing DCT yesterday, and I cannot fully express my *reverence* for the *solid ride of my FLHR* after that experience. Quite the eye opener. NEW SUB
gold wings... decent machine but...No soul ...no character or personality. No heartbeat like a harley. I worked for a Honda dealer yrs ago. Rode them. No thanks.
Love my Ultra as well and not just for touring. You mentioned people falling asleep on the bike. Made me laugh. My grandson would fall asleep nearly every day as I rode him home from school from kindergarten clear through his sixth grade year. It was adorable and people on the street smiled and took pictures of the cute little bugger slumped over in his seat. And for those who are safety Nazis, I have a backrest so he was not only surrounded by that big seat but sort of secured in there with the backrest between his legs.
I enjoyed your review of the Ultra Limited. Im looking to buy a new Harley. I have a 2003 Electra Glide Police Special. Im looking at new Harleys today.
I got an 89 softail custom with an evo and I love it, but finally broke down and will be picking up 21 ultra limited in snake venom, can't wait. One thing on 89 is the sound, man I just love it.
I have a 2016 Ultra Classic, I had a lot of trouble with the hydraulic clutch at slow speeds due to a very hard pull, so I picked up a Oberon clutch lever that has 8 selectable position settings. This allows me to adjust the friction zone wherever I want it. The company is in the UK, and it takes a few weeks to get it, but it's so worth it @ $110 American I paid for mine. if you do a lot of around town or slow maneuvers it's priceless. It's CNC machined from billet aluminum, and they make it for almost every year and make for Harley.
I know this is as old comment, but in case someone stumbles across it in the future I want to give another endorsement of the Oberon levers. I had a 2019 with the hydraulic clutch. I try to take a Ride Like a Pro class on any bike I own and with the hydraulic clutch I had to sit out some exercises to give my hands a break because of pain in my joints (getting old sucks). After the class I got Oberon levers and it was a game changer! With that said we just signed the papers on a 2021 and I'm stoked that it has a cable clutch.
I just bought the exact same bike a couple weeks ago! Only test rode it so nice to see a video about it! I wave at all bikers and some cagers too! Been riding a Fatboy for 20yrs so I was impressed by the feel of the Ultra, tight turns and fast corners or easy!

The Roadster is one of my favorite Sportster models. I wish they still made them. I guess you've heard by now but the 1200 Iron goes away for 2022 also. If you are looking at used look at the "72", also a favorite of mine.
I just bought the blacked out gauntlet grey street glide special and loving it. I also wave to Harley riders and wave back to sport bikes but adventure bike riders almost never wave so I don’t wave. I just think that they don’t like Harley riders.
May have the chance to own a 2020 used (only has 5K kms on the clock) ultra limited soon. Thanks for the review mate, appreciate it. Great bike but here are a few things bothered me....they took the chrome trim and lights off the fenders, they removed the pin striping completely, removed the heal shifter ?????? And why did they go back 10 years with bringing back the clutch cable ????
Does this have the same suspension as the Street Glide special and Road Glide Special ? You mentioned this touring bike has the best suspension for long trips . Like the bike , but definitely want removable touring pack and smaller smoked windshield .

I do appreciate your videos. Considering a street glide cvo but also want the ultra limited since my wife finds the passenger seat more comfortable. Like you said, couch on wheels.
Hey there, Could you do a follow up video in the shop please? I am wanting to see you sitting on the bike off the kickstand. I would like to know your inseam and how you touch the ground with your feet. I would like to see how your arms/hands are when on the grips and would like to see if you are looking through or over the shield. In the video if you could tell me (us) if you owned the Ultra Limited, would you change the shocks or seat to do long trips? I am asking all this as I am 5' 5" and a fair bit heavier then you and need to know roughly what it would be like owing the bike. My current non HD cruiser, I find my hands are way to low compared to my shoulders (need taller bars), the factory fox shock is wonderful on the bike but the seat puts my butt to sleep 40-45 mins in to a ride so it starts to hurt so I need a better seat. I just want to know if I could ride a season with everything stock or if I need to get stuff added in to the deal if I trade for the 2022 Ultra Limited. PS... great video, would have been nice to have the camera pointed up just enough to see the grips and up. Thank you.
Streetglide vs a Roadglide, I prefer a Roadglide in the looks dept. When it comes to the limited, The Roadglide doesn't look good to me with a tourpack and the high windscreen. I prefer the look of the Ultra Limited toured out.
I love the bike. I’m 33 and probably getting this exact color because of the few extras you get compared to the street glide. Then just take off the back tour pack. Question, is the lower wind blocker (idk what it’s called) removable too?
I have an 07 ultra with a thunderheader. I want to get a 2022 limited and keep it stock with the exception of the pipes. Thoughts about exhaust for this bike. 2 into 1? Screaming eagle? third party?
I like pipes that make power. I like a 2 into 1 and usually a shorter one but for this bike I’d prob do one from D&D. The borezilla has a good sound to it. Or it did on the twin cam I can’t be sure I’ve heard it on the m8.
I have a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 and i wave regardless of the bike that passes. Feel as if its disrespectful when i dint get a wave back. As much as I've been a Harley fan since i was a child, i get a lot of harley rider's that flip me off.
@@throttleblip9854 I wonder why the bars are not internal wired on the UL, but are internal wired on the RGL? Also, for me, I would rather the tour pak without the luggage rack, for a cleaner look. It should be a option to include it or not.
I wave at everybody. The riders I notice not waving back the most are the wanna be tough guy/born to be wild types. I ride a Road King but wear proper protective gear and helmet. I honestly think that is one of the reasons those types don't wave back. I consider myself a motorcyclist, not a "biker".
Def the best Harley for roads like that. Beefy suspension and solid frame. However if you can, I always suggest people upgrade suspension. Not just for bumps but it corners so much better with a tuned setup.
@@throttleblip9854 so I sold my Sportster 883 and put a deposit on a 2021 Street Bob at a Harley Dealer in MA, but never rode one..I feel weird asking to test ride a motorcycle (don't know why, just do though) but anyways I'm buying it this week and That was the one thing I was curious about it because I can't find anyone online that really talks about that. But if it was not good I'm sure you would have pointed that out. I'm traumatized by how bad bumps and pothole are on my 883..so it's important that it feels good...thanks for the post back!your videos are really good man!
They are called lowers. They house the radiators for the liquid cooled heads. They also keep the wind off of you when its cold and hold the heat in when its hot haha
@@throttleblip9854 Thanks! A mate just bought an Ultra Limited and were trying to find info on them! So they're not subwoofers for the sound system then 😅
I have been a Harley owner for over 50 years or more. The Cable clutch is a step way backwards, In the last two years Harley has been cutting corners to save money. Harleys are way over priced: how can they send bikes all the way from Japan for 30 to 40% less money???
My wife would fall asleep on the back of my 09FLHTCU (at least she wasn’t pregnant at the time ;p). We have a 18 Durango, I love the body style(some body styles are times). (I wave 1st always(even to cyclist(2wheelLOVE)). Thank you.
I stopped waving at Harley riders because they almost never wave back. I have no idea why.. personally I love all bikes Idk what their problem is. I love your videos maybe tilt the camera up just a little so we see more of the road and less of the fuel tank
Yeah some of those guys have an unwarranted "I'm better because I'm on a Harley". So bizarre to me. Thanks for the love. On the newer stuff I've moved to a hemet mount but still tweaking things.
yes, thank you, James, not to be a dick but I wave at everyone( but scooters ), why does this guy not initiate waves. He is not a 1 % so don't act thug
Personally I HATE the cable clutch! My 21 RG Limited in the first 1000 miles I have had to loosen the clutch YES I said loosen the clutch! I thought cable clutch should have to be tightened as the cab stretched? And adjusting the clutch is not an easy job since it has to be done at the clutch with absolutely no adjustments in the cable at all! Piss poor design Harley!!!!!
I'd like to see a true liquid cooled Harley. They could drop the displacement, add a shitload of horseys and maybe make a bike you didn't have to " upgrade " I say fix all Harley f%%k ups. That said I've road Harleys for 40 + years. But recently I had a Kawasaki that was just a better bike. Me being who I am I sold it and bought another Harley but I'm the base that for some reason Harley thinks i cant grow and expect Harley to follow better tech.
Well it will be interesting to see how the new Revolution motor does. Liquid cooled and I've read it is supposed to make 145hp out of the box. I get that the Pan America won't fit everyones taste or riding style but it births a new motor that we get to see what Harley can make happen.

Even Canadians? jk A bikes a bike. Even sport bikes.
I wave at everybody. The riders I notice not waving back the most are the wanna be tough guy/born to be wild types. I ride a Road King but wear proper protective gear and helmet. I honestly think that is one of the reasons those types don't wave back. I consider myself a motorcyclist, not a "biker".
I agree, wave!
The wave is more like.... 2 fingers down to say keep your 2 wheels on the road
This or the new 2021 Goldwing? I'm tired of my sportbike.
Beautiful!
How is this bike with potholes and bumps? Is it smooth?
What are those things at knee height?
They are called lowers. They house the radiators for the liquid cooled heads. They also keep the wind off of you when its cold and hold the heat in when its hot haha
@@throttleblip9854 Thanks! A mate just bought an Ultra Limited and were trying to find info on them! So they're not subwoofers for the sound system then 😅
Halogen turn signals
Incandescent
It has the RDRS
I do the wave
Same!
I have been a Harley owner for over 50 years or more. The Cable clutch is a step way backwards, In the last two years Harley has been cutting corners to save money. Harleys are way over priced: how can they send bikes all the way from Japan for 30 to 40% less money???
Good Video
Glad you enjoyed
Yea I'll wave back to anybody but not the first!!
My wife would fall asleep on the back of my 09FLHTCU (at least she wasn’t pregnant at the time ;p). We have a 18 Durango, I love the body style(some body styles are times). (I wave 1st always(even to cyclist(2wheelLOVE)). Thank you.
TRES BELLE MOTO
I always wave
wow~~~good
I’d watch your gear vids...
Incidental music isn’t a copy right violation
miss the sound of the 60's Harley, this one sounds like a Honda
I stopped waving at Harley riders because they almost never wave back. I have no idea why.. personally I love all bikes Idk what their problem is. I love your videos maybe tilt the camera up just a little so we see more of the road and less of the fuel tank
Yeah some of those guys have an unwarranted "I'm better because I'm on a Harley". So bizarre to me. Thanks for the love. On the newer stuff I've moved to a hemet mount but still tweaking things.
@@throttleblip9854 I like all bikes. Btw there's plenty of plastic on a Harley too
Idididiididududu
I wave back to anyone.
Yeah I don’t wave first but I always respond
I wave although I ride a Harley I wave to all motorcyclists
yes, thank you, James, not to be a dick but I wave at everyone( but scooters ), why does this guy not initiate waves.
He is not a 1 % so don't act thug
Awesome bike that we would love to put someone on! Give us a call at 864-224-1531 and mention this video!
I wave
@@throttleblip9854 agree but maybe they'll finally develop the engine they've been thinking about since the early 80s .I'd love to see it.
