*Animal Lover:* Relationships with livestock and pets improve quickly. *Fisher:* Start off being a little more skilled at fishing. *Sports Enthusiast:* Start off with a little more stamina. *Tycoon:* Start off with lots of money. *Charmer:* Start off with your relationship points a little higher.
"Sports Enthusiast" is objectively the best I think. I made a character with Animal Lover (because duh) then decided to look up what those traits did before actually getting to gameplay and restarted immediately. Starting with a whole extra stamina heart is huge. You get more done in a day...if you finish watering/planting/etc you can often take a few whacks with your axe on a tree or fish or mine to work toward later goals. Plus since one stamina heart is gained by getting married it was best for me since I tend to put off relationships and don't think I've gotten married in a HM/SoS game yet in the past couple decades lol.
LittleNemo I chose animal lover for the long run since the others only give things in the beginning. (but if your not gonna get married for a long time then sports was probably a really good one for you :p)
I think the devs did a good job balancing the traits. You can mitigate pretty much any of them if you're willing to sink the money/time into it. I'm shoving Soft Treats on the half dozen animals I just bought so they'll increase affection and therefore product star level quicker. I probably should've be feeding the product amount increasing treats (Chewy Treats I think) into all of them instead, like I'm doing with the animals that have max affection, from the beginning. Hot Milk is a daily dose of of extra stamina, and having several of them would have been be nice if I did it long ago. Though, honestly, now that I'm in mid winter first year, time is my mortal enemy, while stamina is "whatever" with all the tool upgrades I did and food I can make.
I bought this game on ebay and the seller said: "I'm selling it because its not what I expected" I gave it a try and let me tell you that its everything that I wasn't expecting! I mean, to be able to upgrade my tools, frequent interaction with town folks, more mining spots not to mention getting richer quickly (you have to upgrade your hammer of course). in the second year I upgraded my house for the 4th time and about to make it bigger. Don't get me wrong I still love and play the first Story of Seasons but I'm really hooked on this one. I'm 44 years old and I'm not ashamed to admit, playing these type of games. Thank you for posting this video, you inspired me to buy this game and I don't regret it. 😉😍

RIGHT?! He's such a hypocrite. I think moving around so much is what causes the main character to want to settle down and have some stability. Can't blame her for that.
Voice acting 10/10, would watch again! You really did a great job differentiating everybody despite the thick dialect XSEED gave everyone. Can't wait to see more, super excited to embark on another SoS adventure with you, Kita! ^_^

I love your narration. Cause I'd totaly freak if I was told my new hometown is the hugging type... possibly even going as far as looking for a different town. Though with that Dad of theirs, it's a very small possibility. The best introduction in Westown is most definitely with Ford. The only one missing out on the hugging entirely. Can't help but love him for it. Ford has the best Breakup scene too. Looked the Breakups up on TH-cam. I am never gonna let the one with Ford play out on my game. It makes me cry. Saw the one with Wayne too. His look made it a little bit like kicking a puppy but all together there is nothing in That breakup which would make me take it back like I would most definitely try if my boyfriend said what Ford gets to say...

Yay, it's released. :) I got my copy yesterday and started playing. I just kinda hate how it starts out slow with stuff. I know there will be more to do as the game goes on, though. But at first, it's hard to find much to do during the days in the game.

haven't gotten the game yet, but I can't really stand the other guys besides Yuzuki because they seem so young, around 18-19 and with Hinata he barely even looks that, I'm 24 in RL and don't want to go after them as it makes me feel weird, so Ford it is, that and I like mature men. besides, Fords back story and what he says after Marriage is different and more sincere, I won't spoil it of course but he really is an awkward lovable goose under all that dorky aloofness.

The child you from the memory changes to the coloring you give yourself. Animal- Your live stock and pets start with 1 heart and I believe it helps level up their hearts. Fishing- you start out with a higher fishing lvl Sports- you start out with 6 hearts instead of 5. it doesn't change your max # of hearts Tycoon- you start out with 50,000 money Charming - you start at 1/2 heart with town people and 1 heart with love interests.
I just got the game and I was looking at what the traits do and found out that if you choose the Vertern mode you lose around double the stamina than in seedling, so maybe thats why you lose so much?

Yeah, that's usually how HM games start off. A New Beginning was super slow. But once the ball gets rolling it'll be great :)

The child you from the memory changes to the coloring you give yourself.
Animal- Your live stock and pets start with 1 heart and I believe it helps level up their hearts.
Fishing- you start out with a higher fishing lvl
Sports- you start out with 6 hearts instead of 5. it doesn't change your max # of hearts
Tycoon- you start out with 50,000 money
Charming - you start at 1/2 heart with town people and 1 heart with love interests.

I just got the game and I was looking at what the traits do and found out that if you choose the Vertern mode you lose around double the stamina than in seedling, so maybe thats why you lose so much?
