    Looking to get this bike through the Cycle to Work Scheme in the UK. I can't afford a car as they're just too expensive to run and this will help me so much as ill no longer need to rely on Buses that never show up. So excited to get it and hopefully by the end of the month *fingers crossed*

      @winniepeg2020 I've received mine now, it's a decent little bike for me. Only got a 3.8mile commute each way and it gets up the inclines just fine. It feels like you are still doing a bit of exercise and not being a lazy b*stard🤣
      Seat post isn't a problem for me because I have a secure locker I store it in👍
      I think I definitely would of went for the fiido if they done it on the cyclescheme but they don't which is a shame👎

    When you push the seat tube all the way down does it provide extra standing support when the bike is folded?

  • @Brian_Munich

    I seen a TH-cam clip of someone fitting magnets to hold the bike together when folded.
    Are the magnets supplied with the bike or do you pay extra ?

    Wouldn't dropping the front wheel out be an easier way of fitting the mud guard?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I usually avoid that because you can break the mudguard when you try to fit the wheel and the bike will not stand for the rest of the setup without the wheel.

    Hi! Your videos are very informative! 👍I have a question regarding the 350 W motor of the Air 20. There is a difference of 5 Nm more compared to the 250 W (European version). Does it make sense to buy the 350 W version if it is not used without the throttle (due to legal reasons)? I suppose that the 350 is more powerful, but it consumes also more of the battery than the 250 W. So what are the pros and cons of the 350 W when used without a throttle? Thank you for your information!

      Depends on your needs, the beast can tackle more serious offroad and has more grunt, it also heavier.

  • @dtz1000
    @dtz1000 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Is the weight of 16kg correct? I heard Ado were caught lying about the weight. It actually weighs more than 16kg. Can you weigh it to check?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 16kg weight is for the basic EU model bike and it's true. Due to much presume from the customers there was issued the international version of the AIR which has a bigger and heavier motor. Then on the international version you get different brakes, more wiring. Also people asked for rack carrier, mudguards, anti-theft, etc which all add to the weight. Mine has 18.2 kg with international motor, throttle installed, mudguards, kickstand, tail lamp.

    • @dtz1000
      @dtz1000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechTronic9000 Owners of this ebike are saying 16kg is the weight without the battery. Others are saying the international version weighs 20kg with the battery. If true then Ado is misleading its customers. It's hard to know who to believe.

    • @sfuchs
      @sfuchs ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they state the weight incorrectly.
      TechTronic3000: did you compare the both motors?
      The hardware is identical, not heavier.
      Cables, plastic mud guard and tail light would account for additional 2 kg. Oh common.
      Nothing is metal of these accessories. What are you talking about?

    I’m returning a brand of e bike that I don’t want to say that even though I installed and tightened correctly the handlebars and gooseneck with the front fork of the wheel and bike, the handlebars was not turning the front fork and wheel accordingly. They were never synced and there was a lot of wobbly play making it unsafe to ride. So sad because I got it massively on sale by about $700 due to end of year sale.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well it seems that you haven't been able to adjust the headset and properly install the handlebar. Just buy a regular bike from a bike shop, they will adjust it locally and that will be of course included in the price ;)

      @@TechTronic9000 what about the throttle ? I would like to know if it would work if I buy it the handle ?

    • @hanaki-
      @hanaki- 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Only the International version can be unlocked and has the wiring for the throttle. The CE version does not have the throttle wiring. The throttle kit only has a short 200mm cable that connects into the pre-installed cable just below the handlebars. This cable is missing on the CE version. Unlocking the bike only works using the throttle. Pedal Assist only works upto 25kph on both International and CE versions.

    Hi, I have been informed by ADO that the Air20 international version hub motor serial number engraved on the motor start with ADO and that the CE motor number starts with RM or similar. Can anyone in the UK or Europe with a CE version confirm what the number stamped on their motor starts with. The first line all appear the same on both International and CE versions and is: "ADO 36V/250W CE". The 2nd line on mine starts with "AMPY0332????????", and this ADO tell me is an international version but would like to confirm with anyone that has a UK or CE version. Mine also comes with the wiring for the throttle but still await the throttle to arrived which is shipped separately. I'm unable to confirm mine is the international version as the speed unlocking feature only works when using the throttle. ADO have informed me the assist max speed on both versions is 25kph, only using the throttle can you go upto 30kph on the International version. Look forward to any help on this.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You got the real international version, that one is the only one with a cable for throttle, I can also confirm that mine, which is also international, has a motor with "AMPY..." The real 250W has a smaller motor made by MIVICE (printed on it)

      @hanaki- 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TechTronic9000 Cheers, thanks for confirming. Im still waiting for the throttle to arrive. ADO inform me they are back order and due to be shipped mid to late September. So until then, stuck with 25kph max assist only.

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  ปีที่แล้ว

      The torque sensor helps a lot so you don't feel the need for gears on normal ride, only if you want to go very fast such as 30-35km/h you will not be able to keep the cadence.

    It's look nice, but i don't understand why this can't of bikes always come with the strait stem and handelbar, it looks so muts better with a sort of bmx steer handle, and i don't think the price is any any higher with that.

    • @TechTronic9000

      Probably for less weight, being more compact and easier to fold. Usually a BMX handlebar although better looking is bigger, more heavy and could stand in the way of folding.
