This is what overland camping is all about. Man, the last time I saw my mom use a washboard, metal one with the wooden frame, was when dad was stationed in Japan and we had just moved into our government apartment. That had to be in 1954. Life was more simple back then and less cluttered and it would actually be wonderful to go back and live that way again. My wife and I retired several years ago and we decided to simplify our lives, getting rid of the material things that seemed to have engulfed us. Sorry, going off into a tangent. Canada has to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world. That area you camped in reminded me so much of the beauty of Switzerland. Thank you for sharing your lives with us, your travels and that beautiful dog...what is his name, Lando? It's been great to follow you in your journey home.
So many recreational areas are closed in Nevada and finally opening. I needed your channel during this lockdown because it opened parts of my memory and thank you! I wanted to be miles away from people, time clocks instead of just 6ft. Thankfully trails are opening and I could smell the fresh air and camp cooking.
Wow now that was such a peaceful camping spot . Loved the sounds of the wild life and the shot of Lando siting on the dock looking out over the lake . So relaxing . Found your channel from Lifestyle Overland. Great content and being British Columbians ourselves we are thrilled to see these areas as this years September trip is now in great doubt. We usually head south to Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada deserts but with Covid-19 that doesn't look like it will happen this year so some back yard exploration is now on the books. This whole area looks awesome and will definitely be on the list. Thanks for showing where this is and boosting our plans for this year.

Hello from the UK. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I hope that you are all safe and well in these difficult times that we find ourselves in. I thought that Id sure this with you, it may be of use to you. My family and I use a similar shower setup to yours. The only difference being, we use a wooden decking tile for the floor in our privacy tent. This way you don't have to stand in the water it just drains away.

Thank you for the great content! That is some preview for the upcoming episode! I used to have a Jeep and spent a fair amount of time off-roading. My Jeep was very basic and lighter than the rigs you guys have though. I got stuck in very deep snow one time and was too far from other vehicles in the party. We didn't have traction boards but we discovered that airing down made it possible for us to drive out. Airing down as in pulling the valve cores out! You have to be very careful and limit turn radius and throttle. It did get me out of trouble and the snow was deep and warm. Looking forward to the next episode.

Driving down the highway coming back into Winnipeg and noticed some Jeeps with Rooftop tents coming down the higway heading east, as i drive a Jeep Rubicon black. First seen the white Rubicon and then noticed the blue JK. I soon realized that this was The Epic Family Road Trip crew. So Cool! Keep safe !! So awesome to see that !!

We really like the Kootenays. You could spend all summer from Radium south and west to Kaslo, Nakusp and all the logging roads in between provide great 4 wheeling, access to fishing, camping and hot springs. Summers are usually hotter and dry so great for the outdoor activities. Right now visiting between provinces is not recommended so hope this ends soon. One of our favorite areas.

That was one of the best videos you have ever made i felt like i was right there with you so relaxing. It was nice to see the real work also how you do laundry and take showers. We do trips but none like the amount of time you guys spend traveling i envy you and your family.Ii know you give up a lot but to me it would be worth it.

You may now be out of BC, but did you know that ALL CAMPING AND LAKES IN BC ARE CLOSED UNTIL JUNE 1 AT LEAST, FINES OF 10,000 DOLLARS are being handed out . This was put into effect one month ago at least. I really done want for you to have a problem and taint your memory of BC :-) Get yourself a copy of the BC Backroads mapbook, this has all the little logging roads and lakes shown with info on campspots, how many, what kind of fish and tips how to catch. Its VERY DETAILED and BETTER THAN GUYYA OR MAPSme. It also has detailed info on hiking and paddling, hunting etc. The paper books are more legible than the electronic chip, but both together are great as you can put it on your GPS device while driving. The fact that you've not seen anyone else camping should your first clue, these Rec sites are usually Full at this time of year, with fisherman and campers.
