7:33 Stereo means for example when the engine is on the left side, you hear it more on the left speaker than right, etc.
In simple words, you can finally figure out where the engine is.
It's useful when racing because if a car is about to pass you on the left it'll play the sound of it approaching primarily out of the left speaker
It js means 360 hearing lmfao

1:44 You can also just press alt + enter to automatically set the windowed tab to fullscreen (if fullscreen is selected) when you defocus
I’ve been living with a handicap this whole time😤
Turning V-sync on eliminates tearing, but it decreases the max framerate you can achieve. If your monitor has variable refresh rate (G-sync or Freesync) you should never use V-sync, if not it's situational but I usually prefer not to.
Actually, freesync needs vsync to work. Freesync works alongside vsync. If you turn off vsync it will tear.
It only decreases your max framerate to what your monitor can output. So you don’t lose any frames you can actually see.
@@EpicInternet If the framerate is lower than the monitor's refresh rate it will make it even lower
The best way is NVidia (or AMD) Vsync + G-Sync, and in-game vsync disabled
Vsync also can contribute to latency in in/output on lower rated setups which is why I leave it off.

Yeah cool. Anyways, here's a brownie recipe:
Ingredients:
5 tablespoons (71 grams) unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups (249 grams) granulated sugar
2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk, cold
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup (75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup (63 grams) all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (128 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a 8 by 8-inch pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In a microwave safe bowl, add the butter and sugar. Microwave for about 1 minute, or until the butter is melted. Whisk in the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir in the oil and cocoa powder.
With a rubber spatula, stir in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the brownies are set and a cake tester inserted into the center has moist crumbs attached. Do not overcook. Let cool completely to solidify before cutting and serving.
Brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Brownies will be gooey when served warm, chewy when served at room temperature, and fudgy when served chilled.

Damn, my boy really didn't mention the "Allow modification of seat adjustments" which in my opinion is 1 of the most important settings when using mods, as the default vehicle positions are pretty good. Love the vids, hope you keep it up.
oooh that's how you fix that windowing issue that drives me (litterly) mad some days... Thanks man!
My grandma is sick right now, and stress plus upsetting her (from my constant mad man screaming at BeamNG) can make her even sicker, so this is a big help!
on my experience on playing games on pc for more than a decade ago, i always disable vsync when i can, not only adds imput lag but even if the game renders more frames than your monitor can display you still get an extra smoothness from having those extra fps + when playing on borderless there's no screentearing issues
Young fly on the track🗣🗣🗣💯💯

maximum voices is how many sounds can play at once, it's a term used in music making so it's easy for me to understand
the stereo headphones option: see replies
The problem is that BeamNG still has stereo audio without that option enabled
@@MuYe That's kinda strange, you'd think that would be a stereo switch but i guess not. I guess i also don't know what it does
@@NickstarTH-camI guess it’s the opposite for some reason???
The headphones option changes volume and (i think) detail
a lot of games have that option (dead by daylight has the headphones option too, mirrors edge 2 even lets you select between 'surround', 'headphones', and 'stereo speakers'), I think it changes the way the spatial sound is being rendered to give off more of a realistic feeling. Counter Strike 2 explains the feature in the game settings where you can choose a simple left-right pan mode or a realistic simulated mode where the game takes reverb, bouncing off walls etc into account. might be the same in beanNG
a mix of the background music choice and the random funny haha moments make watching you describe a settings menu actually enjoyable, the bloons music is peak.
12:08 is why i always used to use the relative camera for most cars because by default it showed a nice view of the interior (some cars showed the bonnet instead which is why i said most cars), until i found out that you could change the angle on the driver cam, it makes so much more sense to zoom it out
The Stereo Audio option is for stereo speakers, with it unchecked the audio is in mono mode, meaning it plays only one audio track through both sides. Stereo mode makes two audio tracks, one for each side. This allows for things like directional audio, which play the sounds through one track or the other depending on which side it's on relative to its position in game. Basically, sound comes from left, sound plays in left ear.

should also add the "modification of seat adjustments" in the driver cam settings allows you to set the cam in a good position without increasing fov to an absurd amount
what stereo headphones does is amplify the left and right sound split, so if your standing to the left of a pigeon its beautiful engine pur will be heard at a much higher volume on the right. its very fun if you have headphones or a decent pair of speakers,
another amazing video i love your content man you make my day amazing every video
Muye found another secret setting that no one found it in BeamNG 😱😱
3:30 vsync does stop the game from tearing, even when the pc is to slow. Maybe you should google the stuff you dont know
max voices also makes a big difference in scenarios with multiple cars, or career mode. sometimes engine noises will just disappear and you will be very confused why that happens. so yes, each voice corresponds to an audio source, be it crash sounds, engines, tires, brakes, grass, wind, etc. it gets stacked fast with multiple cars.
also. Sidenote, if you are having some performance issues playing the game in borderless. Fullscreen mode helps with the performance as it doesn't strain as much
enable VSync? - don't forget to mention that if you have GSync or FreeSync, then disable it and make sure that windows is set (as well as the game) to utilize the freesync/gsync. With refresh rate 144Hz, 4k resolution if you don't have overpowered GPU then keep the VSync off!
When will new beamng update come out?
Actually tomorrow
Bro nobody nows

7:38 having this on just makes it so if you do have stereo headphones it will play things in each ear the right way, if you have a car on the left of you it will play the sound only in the left ear. but if you turn it off then its mono. which doesnt change anything in the ears
Stereo headphones allow sound to give you immersion such you outside hearing one sound on your right and another sound on your left, if you know what I mean. Basically, to make it simple, it allow audio to seem its played actually like in real life you hear. Yeah and also many others have explained it.
no no no not vsync
It depends
Some games do it very badly, and some games do it pretty well.
Lost all credibility there.
It depends, a 240hz monitor with a proper cpu and gpu is a gogo for v-sync in all games tbh
I've never once used vsync and had it performe better than without
Can’t change my mental state

stereo just makes the audio output data to have a left and right channel.
if you are running speakers that dont have dedicated left and right channels, you turn it off to go to mono.
7:44 Stereo Headphones basically just gives you surround sound, If you place your freecam facing somewhere else and do a flyby, It will go from left to right or right to left (depending on which direction you do the flyby on)

Voices or polyphony is a common feature on digital pianos. Like you said, it tells you how many sounds can be played on top of each other. After that limit, the older ones will start to cut out.
Just as a side note voices refers to the number of channels that can provide audio. Typically it doesn't matter since audio is so well done now days but for any audiophiles with high end headphones the heigher voices count will give you better sound quality

Calling vsync a no brainer 10 whole years after gsync was released is hilarious
the maximum voices setting is just audio quallity, and to me, it makes a huge difference on the audio. but yeah. its just audio. i recomend putting it on minimum as it makes alot more FPS if your bottleneck is on the processor.
7:38 Mono would be one channel going to all speakers, so same sound out of all speakers.
Stereo is more than one channel, generally L & R. So when you turn head in game etc, the engine noise will move respectively.
Actually useful and not brainrotting enough... smh
I accept the critique and will expose my brain to the sun

Stereo Headphone from what I test forces stereo sound output. On my 5.1 sound system if I had stereo headphones enable it would only be an stereo output, but if I had it disable it will be 5.1. I normally keep it disable and let windows manage the sound.
This actually helped a lot with getting the max fps out of my game thanks m8
This is the most practical BeamNG Settings video I have ever seen
This is very useful. Perhaps I can optimize my game for recording BeamNG Drive in the future.
I already have a couple of old videos I made years ago. My PC is a gaming laptop, but it seems rather weak; it just meets the minimum or mid-level requirements of the game, so it's not bad unless they changed the requirements, if I recall correctly.
Thank you for this amazing video; it may prove useful for me to optimize as much as possible and better understand the settings, or in case I missed something.
I also sometimes play the game in windowed mode, which may seem crazy, but I find it to be a smarter choice as it offers better performance than fullscreen, despite the latter providing better quality.
Holy yapping of the yappingtons
Hope it goes well for you
low key actually learned a few things and ive been playing beam since it first arrived on steam lol.
5:48 this may be true for some events, but for some races and stuff actually allow you to start by the map
Thanks for this I did it on beamng and it was life changing
7:40 Stereo Headphones basically just mean 3d sounds, mono audio is where the same sound is played in both headphones and stereo is “3d” sound
5:57 if you set a route to the mission you want to play the mission marker will show even if you disabled them.
2:30 Another tip, if the game launches borderless on the wrong monitor, press Windows+Shift+Left/Right Arrow keys to change it.
I'd rather have tighter Orbit camera behavior for high speed driving.
I also prefer to hide the steering wheel since I've always used a wheel controller and it avoids double vision seeing both the ingame wheel and the actual wheel.
As for ignition state, I like starting cold, cold brakes, and ignition off for free roam and career but I suppose if you're doing serious time trials or respawning a lot in instances like BeamMP then running is probably better.
this video saved my life. MuYe you are doing gods work
Max voices is very useful. I had it at 256 and spawned 20 traffic cars and heard tones of audio cutting and after I set it up to 512 those problems were gone
Thank you MuYe for these settings
stereo speakers basically make it where instead of playing the same audio in both ears, it can play an engine to the left of you in the left ear and one to the right in the right ear. good for listening for traffic
I am surly going to use all of these (especially turning off smart gearbox assistant 😈)
The max voices is useful if you experience stuttery or glitchey audio. Increasing the setting allows more seperate sounds to play at once which prevents the icky wicky audio spikes.
for vsync i found that if it ever dipped below like 59fps it would immediately tank all the way to 30 since that would be the next round number it could sync to, making the game terrible. maybe theyve fixed that since but i always run vsync off and limit fps to 144.
I play in Windowed mode so I can work on programming and play the game at the same time. I often need to make small tuning tweaks to my code and test them right away.
I also disable "force high performance power plan" in other options, because it makes my computer suck power and be loud (desktop!)
Audio voices are related to sound cards but aren't really a limiting factor nowadays as your CPU does most of the job. Back then, when audio was accelerated by it's own processor, it had a defined amount of voices, and if you exceeded that, it could cause issues. So with any modern CPU, it can be set on ultra.
Very nice video as always, making videos about unimportant stuff is also important.
Since I didn't understand half of it ahem...
May be an unpopular mod, i don't really know if many people use it, but u should try out the mod "IYB Tracktoy" its one of my favourites and i use ot almost every time.
5:47 there is a trick around this, if you set route and then quick travel the marker will be there and you can start the event, even with markers turned off
stereo headphones setting changes the output from 7.1 to 2.0 output , if ur audio system is capable of 7.1 keep it off, if ur on headphones turn it on
7:30 I had audio issues with 20ish car traffic, it would intermittently cut out sounds like horn, tire screeching and even engine noise, it was a total cacophony. I wrote to support about it, but ended up stumbling into this option on my own. Bumping it to max alleviated this. And yeah basically it's the max amount of sounds that can play at once.
You literally fell from heaven, because I'm constantly looking for good settings and I finally found someone who helped me, my English is average, but with subtitles I could understand everything. Thanks and greetings from Poland, Brother :D
the max voices settings needs increasing if you use a lot of traffic cars, if you do not increase it you will hear audio glitching
This is like an OG Muye video, thank you so much Mugen
7:45 stereo headphones make it where if for example a car is behind you and you can hear the engine, you will hear the sound from behind. Vice versa for every angle (u need a stereo device for this)
@MuYe i think the stereo hedphones is for this if you have the car on your right and has 47596 rpm then you hear it from the right speaker
im againist v-sync, it includes additional stress on your GPU and also bigger imput lag. i always go with frame cap tho, i got freesync(turned off) 144hz monitor and i see no tearing
7:35 stereo headphones off makes the audio mono, if it is checked then if a car is to the left on the screen, it’s sound will come from the left ear. I’m only making a (very) educated guess so I might be wrong
You can actually play missions from the map without having the mission markers enabled, you just have to create a path to the chosen mission in the map, then quick travel to it after, then you should be able to play it.

This helped me because I didn’t know there were traffic settings
I'm pretty sure stereo headphones setting makes it so that there's no overlap between left and right channels (speakers need that)
Stereo headphones makes the engines and sounds in the left part of your screen or caracter e heard in the left headphones more
3:50 i think it would be fine for you to use 120 fps cap when recording since 60 is just half the frames so it fits evenly but this is assuming you can maintain a stable 120 where if you cant 60 is just fine
never knew what borderless did, ty so much MuYe, now i dont have to alt enter to go full screen anymore.😄
Stereo is an audio configuration where you have a left and right speaker with audio playing out of each of them respectively. You have a car on your right, you hear it on your right And vice versa
Young fly on the track 🔥🔥🔥
Hey men👍 Many thanks for this video👌👌👌
Muye, With stereo Headhones, you get sound from multiple channels, funneled left and right. Of course, this corresponds to your left and right ear, and is useful for determining distance, direction, and focus
"Stereo headphones" is a common setting for audio in videogames, if it does the same as in other games, it controls the stereo mixing to change stereo separation. In headphone mode you want less stereo separation as one ear can't hear the speaker for the other ear, but if using speakers, it's inevitable that your ears will always hear both speakers, so to have better direction awareness, the stereo mixing is more separated.
Vsync increases latency by A LOT and can be taxing on preformance. Enabling it is not always good.
7:38 this stereo is if you have headphone it makes if something happens in your right its voice comes from right when it is enabled not both pf theme
I love all of the different background music he uses
If you're on a dual core laptop i3 like I was 4 years ago, I highly recommend enabling simplified physics. That setting literally doubled my fps from 12 to 24 💀
@muye what as your graphic card before you swapt to the 4090 just curious because my graphic card is the 2090 super by mis and runs beamng Drive max quality and with 140 mods at once and runs butter smooth
the "stereo headphones" setting adds ambient sounds to the game like bird and wind
