Every story you told about your mama and your childhood I could visualize it as though I was watching a movie. I’m 76 years old, my mom was from a family of 9 and so many stories you spoke of sounded like stories I would hear as a little girl listening to my mother’s 7 sisters remembering their days as youngsters. You are a wonderful story teller and I loved hearing all about your beautiful mama. And you even brought my mama back to me while I listened to you weave your precious memories. Thank you Pat 💘💕😢

I enjoyed hearing, as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story. So sorry your brother pilot in Air Force was killed. Your mom was a strong woman as was your dad and made for you all a life of adventure, love and great memories.
Granny pat, that was definitely an hour well spent on both sides. You were so blessed to have your mother around for so long and your father too. Both of parents died from lung cancer, mesophilonoma caused from that terrible chemical asbetos. Both of them died about 10 years apart, both in thier mid 60s,and both after only one year of being diagnosed. They were divorced after 35 years together, yet remained inlove til thier death.
Your curlers brought back such a wonderful memory for me. I used to wash, cut and roll my mom's hair for her, it was so much fun, and your curlers were exactly like hers. Thank you for the stories of your Mom, and for helping me remember my Mama. xoxoxox
Watching from a beautiful snowy night in upstate New York and just finished your first book and so enjoyed it. I love that I can listen to your stories of times gone by and while waiting for your next video, can just pick up one your books (I have two). Enjoying your post Pat. Appreciate the discussions of the hard times. I was born in 1962 and grew up in a hollow in Linefork, KY. I remember life becoming better in this area in the late 70s. People have so much nowadays.
Your love for your mama is something beautiful. Makes me appreciate my mother even more. If only she knew how much she is still be talked about. I bet she'd love your channel.
I sure love the tammy faye baker comment your mom made! she sounds like a hoot!! that is cute about the recipe comment also!!! I sure like your parents, I see where you get your sense of humor! Thank you Granny Pat! truely a joy!!
These were really great stories! Back in 1942, November, my momma was born in Tennessee. My grandfather was in the Air Force then. Our families may have crossed paths ☺️ My grandfather was stationed at Area 51 the yr before the crash. I believe they were either in Nevada or California right after. You know how much they moved around from base to base. At one point he was stationed in England and the family was in Tennessee through that. They settled in Los Angeles. Moving around was ingrained into the DNA of my family, for better or worse. It's just fun to think how they were around the same area roughly the same time. They (all) were strong stock back then. They had to be. So many horrible times. If we are smart, we learn from them. Just as you are our storyteller now ☺️♥️
Quilt and pitcher very beautiful ❤️😍. And yes you are very sweet 🧁🎂 . Being a strict parent is a touch of Love 💕😘 Keeping you safe . Learning what they taught you.Thats so much Love!
Dear Granny Pat, I am so glad that you took the time to share more with us about your beautiful mother and family. I GOT SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW THERE WAS A PART 2! OH MY HEART! 😊❤ That hour just flew by ...Your stories touch my heart deeply, and I am so blessed to have found your channel. You bring me such peace and comfort. You're a remarkable woman, yourself. I wish I could sit with you and talk for hours on end. I just love you to pieces Granny Pat❤ Ya know, I wanted to say, I do not watch television. It gives me terrible anxiety, aside from a few of my favorite movies, those which I already know the ending. But I would watch your videos and stories daily if I had the option to do so. I lost my parents young. My grandparents raised me, so I was a child born in the early 70s, raised by the silent generation. My Granny was born prematurely in 1923 when there was very little medical advances. It was a miracle that she survived being born at 6 months gestation back then. She was 74 when she passed. My Grandad was born in 1930 and was a real life cowboy from Texas. Ohh the stories Id love to sit and share with you. I was a different child. I grew up listening to stories very similar to yours. Watching the grand ole opry, Tim Conway and Carol Burnett, Andy Griffith and many more.. It brings me peace, because had having my Granny tell her stories of her Childhood, and all their families losses. Her brothers who passed away as babies and toddlers, and the grief that nearly crippled her mother. My Grandad left home at age 11 to earn a living bc he came from a very poor, yet large family. Times were so very hard back then. Who can imagine sending their 11 year old son out to live on his own, these days? They'd never have survived. The stories that you share with us are far more comforting and educational than anything on the television these days. Its all garbage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your life's experiences with us. I pray that you know how many folks are enamored by your stories. I wish there were more folks from your generation who wanted to share their stories as well. You are sharp as a tack and so blessed to have such a good memory. I feel like I know you, and wish I could just give you the biggest hug. ❤ I cannot help but wonder how many others must feel like I do. Thank you again for bringing me peace, it means more than you know! The quilt is beyond beautiful! What a treasure! My mother sewed and I wish I had more time with her. God bless you sweet lady 😊 Sending all my love from the hills of East Tennessee ♥️
Thank you for sharing your story❤ Blessed to have and know wonderful Grandparents and have instilled gratitude, kindness, love and God's forgiveness that, good work ethics and my favorite, eat what's in front of you😂 Today's kids, even my city raised husband are such picky eaters, they would have starved if they would have had to go through hard times. Thankful for the silent generation, as you put so well, and spend so much time with them growing up, when our home was constant turmoil, evil looming in our home, my Grandparents were an island of caring love. I could never get my fill of spending time with them. Have a blessed day❤
Grannie Pat...do you remember spoolies? they were a silicon or rubbery type curler! I loved this story! about your family! Your dad and mother sound like good people! You always look good in every outfit that you have worn in these videos! My Irish gramma made 'hooch' in our basement, for herself for a nip now and then, and for her good friends. I remember dandelion wine, and some type of beer! They werent big drinkers tho!

I am so glad that you took the time to share more with us about your beautiful mother and family. I GOT SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW THERE WAS A PART 2!
OH MY HEART! 😊❤
That hour just flew by ...Your stories touch my heart deeply, and I am so blessed to have found your channel.
You bring me such peace and comfort. You're a remarkable woman, yourself. I wish I could sit with you and talk for hours on end. I just love you to pieces Granny Pat❤
Ya know, I wanted to say, I do not watch television.
God bless you sweet lady 😊
Sending all my love from the hills of East Tennessee ♥️
Thank you for sharing your story❤ Blessed to have and know wonderful Grandparents and have instilled gratitude, kindness, love and God's forgiveness that, good work ethics and my favorite, eat what's in front of you😂 Today's kids, even my city raised husband are such picky eaters, they would have starved if they would have had to go through hard times. Thankful for the silent generation, as you put so well, and spend so much time with them growing up, when our home was constant turmoil, evil looming in our home, my Grandparents were an island of caring love. I could never get my fill of spending time with them. Have a blessed day❤
This was better than any history book we read in school.
I wish I could go to see my mom she in nursing home 95 my brother won't let me he had me thrown out he has control pluslway to end our
Unfortunately I hear about this a lot. It is truly unfair. I can't imagine.

Great story Pat I love listening to your stories.....you make me feel like I'm right there. What a wonderful life you've lived.😊❤
How I have enjoyed this episode! Hearing these stories reminds me so much of my mom’s family, my precious grandmother Gladys was born in 1906. I’m thinking she was about same generation of your mama. I enjoyed this so very much. Thank you for taking the time. It’s been wonderful.
@@RevPev13 RevPev, are you a minister? My mother was just Mama to me growing up. I didn’t appreciate her until I started catching up to her in age, and then I remembered lots of the stories she used to tell. My sisters keep saying they don’t understand how I remember so many things we did growing up. I wish I could remember the good stories.
Thank you for sharing
