Just got one a couple weeks ago. Took about a month to arrive. I'm a musician using this to make simple piano/vocal videos as well as the occasional livestream and it works perfectly for that. Before discovering this, I must have spent almost $1,000 on other gear to do what this does perfectly for just $150. Best gear purchase I've made in a long time. Thanks for the review.
Great review! I have the non-pro version and love it. It doesn’t plug into a laptop though. Another great use is being able to record short videos and mix videos for social media without having to use a video editor or separate audio and video sources. Cheers!
So can I use this Roland to my live streaming using the sound from my audio interface Apollo Twin to this Roland to the Phone to go Live on IG? is that right? Thanks in advance
1) Can I record my WhatsApp conversation and then edit it for postproduction 2) can I use the mic at the same time while the phone is plugged into the device (Roland Mixer) Please advise.
Usually, the sound quality of video taken by smartphone (iphone or android) is rather poor (unacceptable). My question is that the recorded sound quality through this devics really become better ? Thank you.
This is about the Go:Livecast Pro : so, honestly I did not go through the comments, if anybody mentioned this, I'm sorry to bring it up again...but a worldwide known company like Roland, coming out with a product, that has a mono (!!!) output in 2019 is just beyond unimaginable and bad in every way possible...was really excited to get this and i have been using since may (not been able to work cause of covid and my friend actually bought it for me for a hefty $250). I am still speechless, how can they do such a mistake! Now I am stuck with this and even tho I like the video features, (main stream is with iPhoneX and additional satellite cam is with iPad5thgen and thats cool) Roland is a music equipment company for the most part so I am just total clueless, why...anybody had anything to say about this?
Good product but for 170 you would expect at least power supply that powers the unit plus tablet or phone , maybe even docking , Novation Audio Hub 4x4 is still the best I think for DJ's all round
I've got the GO: Mixer. . The one before the PRO. It's just as good, just without the XLR input.
Excellent review!
Awesome, thanks for sharing :)

Glad to hear that Jeff, it's awesome what we can accomplish without spending much these days
Jeff, can I ask you some questions on it? thx

It is more about the quality of the microphone if you’re talking about voice

I hear you, not the best decision

Yeah it's not the cheapest, decent though!
Could I record and save my DJ set to my phone for further editing or it works only for live streaming?
Yes you can
@@digitaldjtips how is there any tutorial on this please ?
Phil, can that be used for the DDJ-200? The oldskool house and garage Is firing with my mixing, love the mix the other day, with Helicopter on ya way.
Depends what you're using the DDJ-200 with, but probably not - this is more for DJ controllers with their own audio interfaces built-in already.
@@digitaldjtips thanks Phil.
Whats Better,the pro or pro x ?
Pro X
Excellent review thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Another helpful video👌🏾
Thanks!
Great information. I need to get one.
Thanks for watching!
Do you have any idea if it'll work with a PlayStation?
No
How would this compare to evermix?
This is a far more fully featured audio interface, designed for people who need more than just plugging a DJ controller into a phone for instance.
@2:10... MICRO usb actually... otherwise a great video... Thank you.
Well spotted, thanks :)
What is the name of the software option on a windows laptop that you mentioned? I can't find it.
Audio Jack
You only mention livestreaming...what about good quality from a piano arranger keyboard for a youtube video
That's a bit outside our area of expertise Gary being a DJ school but I see no reason why this wouldn't be a good device for that
Look up a video about that instead of this one for DJing in particular...
Now try to find one. Forget it.
Yeah might be tough right now!
