Many folks don’t know The Fireman is the most successful musical artist of all genres of all time.
One of the biggest Legends of country music at his best
A legend maybe, but not the biggest legend. He was never a songwriter. Johnny, Merle, Marty, Kris, Willie, Jerry Reed, Mel Tillis and Waylon are a few who wrote a lot of their own material. So George is not at the very top, that would disrespectful to someone like Marty Robbins whose songs we still enjoy today.
@@mrbobevans as someone who grew up with music artists like Marty Robbins or any of the artists you named its understandable why they deserve the title but Strait is at his peak, there's only one king.
This needs to be a dvd and a cd! As much as I have heard Amarillo By Morning over the years, there was something about that song here. My very favorite of all of them. There was just something different in his eyes and voice. A lot of soul. It was awesome.

You really missed out. In the nineties George did Festivals. All day concerts with all the top country stars and he would finish with a two hour concert. Ran from noon to midnight. Went each year.
I seen him 7 times I seen him this past weekend august 14th in fact I’m lucky to live in Vegas where he plays frequently
