if you start this mission with cherub and torque you get another line after the "kill me now" i kinda forgot what is was but it went somthing like this Torque: "you heard his order. i will do it"
1:41 yeah im gonna side with torque here, the cammander and xcom retook the earth from a technologically superior faction, using crappy off the shelf technology, and only got plasma tech halfway or near the end of the war, oh and 31pd was facing off against a bunch of thugs, and not a disciplined and highly trained organization, a weapon is as dangerous as the person who wields it.
The entire world is *not* XCOM. XCOM Rookie vs Navy SEA/SAS operator, XCOM rookie wins. Hell, the average XCOM 2 Sharpshooter would easily outsnipe the White Death, while rookie Dragunova would outsnipe *and* outstealth him. Why do you think mercs with heavy weapon and a rap sheet longer than my arm straight up *surrender* at the mere sight of four Rookie Chimera Operators, as the Situation debriefing shows?
Wow, it’s almost like not every single cop is a military trained soldier or alien-invasion hardened badass with a voice whispering in their ear during combat that tells them exactly the right thing to in real time.
Do you mean the the invasion where we lost and had to completely rethink our tactics to hit-and-runs and guerrilla warfare? Also, a LOT of soldiers died to those plasma weapons.
@@H240909 We lost the invasion because the base was infiltrated using mind control. It is likely that the governments gave our position after giving up a few months later. It says so in the X-com 2 archives. The war started on March 2015, and they gave up in July 2015: "XCOM PROJECT HISTORICAL RECORD: In February of 2015, long distance scans indicated a number of large unidentified objects on a slow approach towards Earth" "Personnel Dossier: Preceding Chief Scientist Dr. Moira Vahlen - STATUS: MIA - Birthdate Unknown. Doctor Moira Vahlen, Chief Scientist serving XCOM at the onset of the invasion in March of 2015." "ADVENT Public Historical Record: In July of 2015, the coalition government formally know as ADVENT was first proposed by a small group of human politicians who stepped forth intent on negotiating with the Elders." "Personnel Dossier: Central Officer John Bradford : Within a matter of weeks, XCOM's underground headquarters was infiltrated and destroyed, leaving the organization in shambles. C.O. Bradford [system dictation]: (...)They used our own people against us, some kind of psionic control, took down our security grid from the inside (...)" By the time X-com was destroyed they were fighting Sectoids, Thin Men, Floaters,Mutons, Berserkers, Chryssalids and Cyberdiscs (judging by deployment dates) Considering how much the Elders valued the commander, he must had some success in fighting their troops. Also, even though we were given the "best troops in the world", they still started as squaddies.
Takezo Kimura You are seriously over thinking this. Plasma weaponry is a serious threat to normal people in the world of Xcom according to everything we know about it in the lore. Besides if you want to nitpick details and pretend that gameplay is canon, Xcom shouldn’t have been able to fight off the occupation because the average soldier barely knows which direction to point the gun and has worse aim than a storm trooper.
I actually had two addon agents in my first run, which left me with... 6 of the actual agents rather than 8... yet I still somehow managed to unlock Chimera unleashed... no idea how...
Apparently the devs withheld the information to the VAs that they were voicing non-human characters (Not counting people voicing actual humans like Blueblood and Claymore of course). Something about making them feel more natural and integrated with human society or what have you. It both makes sense and doesn't at the same time.
Here are the timestamps for each agent's dialogues:

2:52 Zephyr
3:08 Godmother

@@rinkehibma252 Thanks for mentioning! I didn't know that.
1:11 If you have Torque in your party, she'll happily chime in by offering herself as the one to kill Whisper ("You heard him!").

I don't really think that comparing a group like X-COM with a police department is fair.
Wow, it’s almost like not every single cop is a military trained soldier or alien-invasion hardened badass with a voice whispering in their ear during combat that tells them exactly the right thing to in real time.
I like how Claymore is so experienced with explosive he knows how many city blocks an Elerium explosion will destroy
1:50 - :]
All Squad members - 'analizing the situation'
*sneK* - 'Your cowardice will be Your undoing!'
1:45 So? The Commander faced mutons with plasma weapons in the first wave of the invasion using soldiers with only conventional weapons.
With miltary grade troops these are just cops

@@H240909 ok but the commander faced plasma weapons with conventional weapons AGAIN in XCOM 2 and won that time
after i got cherub's dialogue, torque also added "Well, you heard him all say it."
Anton Tarvo Yes I’m already aware of that, thanks anyway.
Man I love Cherub's personality. We don't deserve him
which makes me feel guilty for how many Advants like Cherub I may have killed in Xcom2
@@deakblack Hybrids would be the correct term. Well at least we had the Skirmishers on our side during the Resistance days.
If you have both Cherub and Torque it’s even funnier
"You all heard him say it. I'll do it"
You can only get 8? Well, here I am stalling the main missions so I can upgrade everyone, then focus on upgrading the newbies when they arrive. Damn.
There's already a Mod that lets you recruit everyone and gives exp to your bench warmers.
And I was wondering after finishing the second investigation when I will get the missing agents. Really strange decision made by Firaxis.
guess it was to make it challenging. Atleast you have an option to change it or not
@@Iceeagle85 It isn't. It encurages players to replay the game.
How can you get Torque and Blueblood so early? I chose them as my first mission and I only had a choice of Axiom, Zephyr and I think Claymore.
The 3 new agents you get to recruit are totally random. If you turn off Tutorial, you can select 4 out of 11 agents that you want to use.

I'd like to know why zephir and Tork don't seem to like whisper very much
Im here just for torque
I'm on torque side do not run from plasma ignore them get closer
Never played any XCom game but wouldn't Torque have sounded better if she'd hissed a little when talking?
