I watch these videos and curse the fact I was born at just the wrong moment , and too young to have attended the concerts during those days, for me, live albums and archive video is incredibly important and I treasure all I see and hear. The bands of the 70's were something extra special. Musical talent and a real rapport with the crowds. I just wish I had been around and able to see them.

The first Real Live Band I saw in my teens. Byron looked like a God when he walked on stage in Manchester. Have seen some good front men since but Byron was something else.
Back in 1972 I thought I saw them at the Whisky a Go Go in LA, but, now I can not find that they played there, lol, I listened to them a lot, and went to the Whisky, so it is possible that I put it into my head I saw them there. I can remember the stage, and was surprised that people were dancing without partners, so I started doing that too, that was quite a great concept, to be free to dance in public, if I had a partner or not! Love to all.

I saw them fronting for Mason profit.early 70s...no one had heard of them.when Uriah came on everyone was stunned and overjoyed!! Didn't expect such an amazing performance!!!!!!

I don't think people realise that the power of this era of UH and that wonderful live album comes from the awesome bass playing of Gary Thain. I was lucky enough to catch them at the Oxford New Theatre.
The raw talent that was on display with this band and others like it all gone now mostly. Today's music if you can call it that just makes me scratch my head and wonder what the heck happened?

В какой-то момент, я подцепил выход с приёмника на вход катушечника, и таки записал весь цикл о Цеппилинах. Потом проигрывал кусок за куском, и через шум пытался расшифровать и записать от руки … Никто на Западе не знал историю их музыки так, как знали её мы - спасибо комсомолу - именно он научил нас ценить прекрасное!

The best Heep lineup ever, solidified by the dream rhythm section of Kerslake and Thain.
Wasn't old enough to see them at their peak with David Byron but did see them in 1982 Abominog Tour at Cleveland Agora. Was enthralled!
