You nailed it, Thomas ... Thain's ability with the melodic bass and solid sync with any drummer he played with .... very underrated. He and Hensley made Heep what it was when they were magical. :)

Always enjoyed me some HEEP. Only saw them once but it was this line up at the legendary former livestock auction hall Chicago's International Amphitheater, the site of many a great 70s rock show. Sad to see the only man left standing is Mick Box. Like Lemmy once said, "Dead men tell no tales..." but at least we have all the great memories and video footage like this to send us back in time even if just for a few moments.
