The whole scene was shot in one shot and it was 100% her, no practical/special effects. Also, Michelle Pfeiffer is the coolest Catwoman ever! She brought a sexy intelligence to a powerful role. Not once did she ever come across as cheesy, campy or a dumb sexpot.

The comics also had "knightfall" and "knightquest" along with Tim Drake going solo as robin in his first series. "Shadow of the bat" kicked off in 1992 as well as Catwoman's solo . And the "death of superman" thing was going on too. What a time to be reading comics as a kid
Also Frank Millers “The Dark Knight “ had come out about 5 years prior to this but it’s one of my favorite Batman Comics of all time. Frank really revived Batman in my opinion during this time period

McDonald’s is actually the reason we did not get another Burton Batman movie. During the time McDonald’s was promoting Batman Returns with happy meal toys. So parents were taking kids to see this, and it is clearly not a kids movie. These parents were the original Karens. They complained to McDonald’s, and because of the backlash WB was forced to change direction to more kid friendly Batman movies.

I was in about 8th grade when this came out. On our end of the year trip to an amusement park I won a poster of Kim Basinger as Catwoman & all the other boys wanted to trade me for it on the bus home! lol
these actors are very good with playing these roles certainly gave the characters more depth especially with the red triangle circus gang good story too Danny Devito did a good job with a darker or earlier penguin character just like michelle phifeifre as catwoman when it was light and dark contrasts with not just her but all of them

You should see the DC animated movies. The Batman DC animated movies are really good. Batman Under the Red Hood is an awesome animated movie about the second Robin, Jason Todd. The Kevin Conroy Batman movies are really great. Batman Mask of the Phantasm is a masterpiece with Mark Hamill as Joker Batman Sub zero has Mr Freeze Batman Beyond Return of the Joker has Mark as Joker Superman Batman Public Enemies has Kevin Conroy as Batman, Tim Daily as Superman, and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor Superman Batman Apocalypse which has Darkseid in it.

Shame, too, because every actor in a role like this (a similar argument can be made for the above mentioned JB, Superman, Jack Ryan, etc.) deserves a quality film to showcase their ability to portray that character. I loved this movie so much and it was the first time I saw Michelle,Daany and christerpher in a movie so this was my introduction to them as actors haha. Yes Michelle's Catwoman is exactly as she is in the comics both in the way she acts and the way she looks as well. Michel was the first Batman I saw and honostly to this day still my favorite but Val kilmer is my second favorite really and the next one isn't too bad it has Jim Carry and Tommy Lee Jones as the bad guys and again it was my first interduction to all those actors Val included and it wasn't that bad of a movie really...not like the first two but not so bad.

Yes Michelle's Catwoman is exactly as she is in the comics both in the way she acts and the way she looks as well. Michel was the first Batman I saw and honostly to this day still my favorite but Val kilmer is my second favorite really and the next one isn't too bad it has Jim Carry and Tommy Lee Jones as the bad guys and again it was my first interduction to all those actors Val included and it wasn't that bad of a movie really...not like the first two but not so bad.
