Great BTO Song and I Heard it Live on 5/17/74 @ the Spectrum Phila PA as part of BTO Set when they opened for the GREAT "TEN YEARS AFTER" !!! But to be Honest, In '1982, the Best Song for that Year in my Opinion were "FOREVER" by Y & T and this song done by KROKUS. Not much of an '80's Music Fan in General but Those two song were GREAT!!!!! And Still Are!!!!!!
BTO featuring Tim Bachman, an original member of Bachman-Turner Overdrive. He played on the first two albums and was then replaced by Blair Thornton on the third album due to health issues. This concert in Santa Cruz was probably recorded around 1987-1988. Oddly the second guitarist in this group is Randy Murray who later took over guitar duties in the original BTO when Randy Bachman left in 1991.
Listen, lads. I'm not terribly fond of this lineup either. But, it bears mentioning that Tim Bachman was the rythym (and 2nd lead) on the first (and fabulous) two BTO albums. (BTO I & II) Just saying. The drummer is decent. 🍀🍀
I hear you... but if you dig deeper into the BTO trivia... Randy B. tells that Tim never actually played on the records, that Randy himself recorded/overdubbed all the guitar parts, that Tim wasn't good enough, and that's one reason Tim was 'removed' from the band. Who do we believe? It's known that Randy is a big exaggerator/embellisher... so maybe it's true, maybe not.
Look at the vid of B&T when they are rocking old. I thought that this was culturally significant given the players and the vintage (hairdos) BUT Randy Bachman just always just played better with C Fred Turner and C Fred Turner with him.. Live full show by Glen Greenwood is a gem for sure.
My top five solos, in ZERO order...This, Michael Shrieve in Woodstock, Ron Bushy on "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", John Bonham's 'Moby Dick' and Ginger Baker 'Toad'.
This isn’t BTO. It’s just Randy Bachman and some “for hire” sidemen. But since Randy owns the name of Bachman Turner Overdrive, he can do what he wants. But how can it be Bachman Turner Overdrive without Fred Turner? It’s just Bachman Overdrive.
Awesome in its simplicity, high energy.
Sounds pretty cool 😎to me!!! This is Rock and Roll!!!
RIP Tim and Rob.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing

Right on BTO!! Reply to Krokus!!!

If Randy Bachman and Fred Turner are not there, it is not BTO. Who are these people?
That is them just a long time ago

A decent cover band but this sure as hell ain't BTO just because Tim is on-stage.
is that wolf gang not sure
for what is basically
a Tribute band
doing a Cover song
it's entertaining
Yes, it really is more of a tribute band than anything else. Not bad, just not BTO. (Much like The [current] Guess Who - but Who am I to judge).
Gearheads Forever
let me get this straight, he stayed awake for how long?
ha ha
This is not a BTO I recognise. This is a Tim bootleg, which honestly, is second rate.
Huh? This isn't BTO
Let me get this straight, he stayed awake for how long?
Guena rola . . .

It's not Randy, it's Tim Bachman.
This ain’t BTO, it’s 1/3B.
Deve ser difícil ser baterista no Canadá...sempre haverá uma sombra atrás.
Eu AMO ser baterista no Canadá... e eu também sou o vocalista. th-cam.com/video/Hv5sjfYgc0w/w-d-xo.html
Imitation BTO. A BTO tribute band, at best.
