I can proudly say that this band turned me into the Metal Head I am today. Saw them a couple times over the years and loved 'em every time. No longer a Half Ton of Rock and Roll, but still damn heavy!!
Canada has their share of greats. Some are under rated and obscure in the USA Like Ian Thornly. Omg. They couldn’t sale a single record in the states. America had their head to far up Nikelbacks ass when Thornly debuted . I seen Thornly in a club. And let’s not forget about Rush. I guess when it’s cold you stay inside and amazing things like that happen. Fuckin Nikelback😂come to think of it I seen Bto in a club. SMH.
You walk your street and I walk mine ShouldWe meet would you spare me some time Cause I'd like you to know I need the quiet hours to create this world of Mine.
Sat down and had a few drinks with the bass player from Krokus in Austin, TX while I was in college around 1983. We talked about Randy Bachman mostly and told me how much his band members admired BTO. Stayed Awake All night did very well for Krokus. Interesting fellow. 😊
42yrs later after buying "Krokus" "Head-Hunter" album I learn that this was a cover song & after watching B.T.O. play this song live Im hooked on the original version.
Randy Bachman with a Les Paul is different than that classic Strat sound he had with BTO. He always said in interviews that he prefered a Les Paul in the studio but played a Strat because they held up better.
Ah, we were all much younger and better when this song came out in the 70's. Charles Frederick, "Fred" Turner lost a lot of weight. I miss Robin Bachman on drums, and Tim Bachman and Blair Thornton on rhythm guitar...the original lineups are always the best.
Tim played rhythm guitar, but Blair and Randy Bachman played dual lead guitar, the two lead guitarists finally gave BTO there trade mark heavy thundering sound.
So forkin good! 1st album! Twangy Canadian/country/folk/rock! I never appreciated how good Randy played and wrote. Fred aint right! (dats my moms NewOrleans slang for WOW!)
Jimmy the fake page take note this is how it's done live in concert not hiding behind a cello bow to prove you can't do live what "you" did in the studio
randy got his guitar back - FANTASTIC
Wish I could have seen them live. They are great!
This is pretty cool....Randy Bachman is a real old school rocker
Randy is still performing live with his son, Tal Bachman in 2023, old guys can still rock & roll.

One of the best bands out of Canada back in the 70s that I had the pleasure of seeing

Loved it when they came runnin back to Saskatoon
Ya, that was a great song
i'm pretty sure this is the best thing that's ever happened
This the music I grew up to 😀
I sure wish I had this sound system back when I was listening to "Not Fragile" so many times as a kid. heh
Great recording quality and solid rocking! Love it.
I love this music.
I hope I'm still that active and that good when i'm pushing 70!
i'm mid 60's and it's a state of mind my friend, i'm very active but for so many i know....sadly they aren't !
Drummer is in awe of Randy

Llegó aquí escuchando la granción Sound good to me de Annhilator. Gran trabajo en la voz de Marc Lafrance, aquí de batería y coros

he found the guitar
they still have it love it .
Another fine product made in
🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦
I really like the harmonized leads around 2:08-2:30.
yeah, just too bad the camera doesn't capture the other guitar though.
My favorite band, along with Nazareth.
These two boys are The Beast!!!
These guys can still ROCK!!! give it up for BTO!!!!!!
Amazing ❤

Nice thanks for posting!!!
Let's keep on rocking boys..................

BTO saw the writing on the wall and said it with American Woman.
SICKKKKKK MEDLEY!!!
at Hampton Coliseum, the place was jumpin after takin care of business. back in 86 i believe.
god i love this.
In Peru 100% listen to BTO
For years i only knew the Coverversion of Krokus
Now you know where Joe Santiago of the Pixies got the idea of scratching the drumstick on the guitar! Randy did it first!
LIke Randy used to say, "There Ain't No Cure".
Last time I heard this i was a young speed freak now I am an old man what happened 😂
Bachman and Turner just keep getting better and better! I wonder if this version is available as an audio download somewhere? Thanks for posting!
never seen eddie do that with looked like drum stick yes a drill but this was more impressesive,
And that drum stick thing was done when Tom morello was shittin yeller my fellers.
A good reply to Krokus (better than the other BTO response!)
Jimmy the fake page take note this is how it's done live in concert not hiding behind a cello bow to prove you can't do live what "you" did in the studio
I'm staying up all 🌃
One year later 🕯️
@ddogg696969 Mike passed away last year...If you go to the Bachman and Turner website they havea tribute posted about him.
Top 1
krokus covered both songs
wow
BTO rocks the fuckin' house...Canadian talent is the best....
I used to think krokus wrote this song lol
BTO = REAL ROCK BAND. TRAGICLLY HIP & nikleback = CORPORATE rock bands.
LP's have more "bite".
A LP & a Marshall stack..... the sound of rock .
let me get this straight, he stayed awake for how long?
HA!! Where the hell is everyone's sense of humor? ROFL!
Oh, you again ha ha. Saw this question on another BTO vid.
hey Mike what did you use to record this.....awesome show ...can't wait for T.O in Sept
can you please tell what equipment was used for this excellent recording?
RANDY BACKMAN + GIBSON LES PAUL = NITRO C4
I saw them last night and they played this
what happened to overdrive (lol)
can someone tell me what kind of a bass is Turner playing?
let get this straight, he stayed awake for how long??
Watching the elections results and I stayed awake all night!
kenny rogers unleashed.
Liked the Krokus cover of Stayed Awake All Night better.
I rather the Krokus version
kenny rodgers was a bto wanna be
No disrespect or anything, but this really sucks.
