Randy was 80 last fall, and had surgery in 2006 that made him go from 380 pounds/171kg to 225lb/101 kg.
I don’t understand why BTO and The Guess Who are not in the Hall of Fame. Two great bands with one common denominator, Randy Bachman. I could listen to these bands all day long!

I had a girlfriend when I was a freshman at college in 1965, she was still in high school. Her family moved away the next year, when ever I hear the song "Caroline No" by the Beach Boys I think of her.

I'm 62 and I will ALWAYS BE OLD SCHOOL and BTO will ALWAYS be one of my top favorite bands. Grand Funk Railroad is right along side of BTO and I saw both bands. Dam they were soooooo great!! I love CF Turners tough gravely voice!!!

Actually, this concert was at the Saskatchewan Maximum Security Prison in Prince Albert Sask. Nobody there didn't hurt somebody bad. Some in that audience are probably still there. I directed this concert and it rained all day. They tried to get me to move indoors but I wanted the windows, walls and guard towers. So did the band! All the leads had to be dried so the inmates got their hair dryers out for us. Saved the show. more stories re: van halen, meat loaf, blind melon, triumph. Oopsnoroom.
Yeah, we were young, and didn't have to worry about the 14 percent inflation, OPEC oil Embargos, high unemployment, the "Cold War" with Mutually Assured Distruction! Good Times! I forgot the $2 Minimum Wage.
I seen BTO in 1976 with Heart and Head East opening...what a concert. I was 16. I had BTO's first 5 albums including Bachman Tuner Bachman Brave Belt. Still listen to it. Some of the greatest rock and roll ever recorded.

I saw these. guys in 74 or 75, during the "Not Fragile" tour. I was 16, 140 lbs, 5'-nothing, and I had a girl 6" taller than me on my shoulders for half the show. Missed most of the visuals, but didn't mind. First blind date, and a good one!

That was 11 years ago and I have not had a ticket since !! Yeah, I still get the "itch" every now and then but NOPE .... I just remember that last go round and I behave .... LOL !! I'm 62 and I will ALWAYS BE OLD SCHOOL and BTO will ALWAYS be one of my top favorite bands. Grand Funk Railroad is right along side of BTO and I saw both bands. Dam they were soooooo great!! I love CF Turners tough gravely voice!!!

Man these guys could sing and play...BTO a big part of my teen years! I heard others sings sing Roll on down the highway and they just sucked, you gotta have a voice like Fred Turner to bring it to life
Actually, this concert was at the Saskatchewan Maximum Security Prison in Prince Albert Sask. Nobody there didn't hurt somebody bad. Some in that audience are probably still there. I directed this concert and it rained all day. They tried to get me to move indoors but I wanted the windows, walls and guard towers. So did the band! All the leads had to be dried so the inmates got their hair dryers out for us. Saved the show. more stories re: van halen, meat loaf, blind melon, triumph. Oopsnoroom.

Turner had a powerhouse set of pipes unlike anyone else I can remember in rock and roll. He still had in his late 60s/early 70s. Amazing.

I seen BTO in 1976 with Heart and Head East opening...what a concert. I was 16. I had BTO's first 5 albums including Bachman Tuner Bachman Brave Belt. Still listen to it. Some of the greatest rock and roll ever recorded.

I saw these. guys in 74 or 75, during the "Not Fragile" tour. I was 16, 140 lbs, 5'-nothing, and I had a girl 6" taller than me on my shoulders for half the show. Missed most of the visuals, but didn't mind. First blind date, and a good one!
