Me: about to leave
"Please don't leave i need the view"
Great comparison of the different eras/rule sets, though it would have been nice to see a car from the '50s (i.e. 250F, W196, etc.) and the 1.5L era (1961-'65) in there too.
Really makes me think that how amazed would the pre ww2 guys be if they saw how ridiculously quick the modern race cars are!
Great video, really interesting seeing the evolution of speed and tech.
We all know that the 2020 Mercedes with 3 tires would have won.
I’m still pissed.
Really enjoyed this - wonderful journey through time, and it's the perfect course to get a sense of how fast cars can be now
That fiery Bugatti go-kart is pretty fantastic
“This car has more power than sense which makes it a great racecar”
Spit a little drink out on that one 😂
20:36 he called it, we all will miss this era of F1 cars
17:59 "whoa this Williams is slower than I thou- OH MY GOD!"
Jimmy, you are by far my fave tuber, you genuinely are having fun and don't give a shit about the trends
0:39 A very accurate description of f1 cars 😂😂😂
Love this! Love the little infos he adds whilst driving
Sim Racing commentary of the year: 'Extreme testicular fortitude'
Greetings from Sweden :). This was really fun to watch, you have tremendous knowledge about racing cars.
To second someone else, next up: LeMan winning or fastest prototypes.
Always come back to this video just because of the Goodwood graphics after every run, they really are exquisite
Can we get a Goodwood Festival of Memes?
Drive a bunch of weird mod cars up the hill?
This might be my favourite video yet. I'd LOVE to see more F1 car comparisons using different tracks.
Who else is watching this during a zoom call? I know I am!
sameeeee
Same lol
MS Teams. Basically the same thing
Slack here. But ye
Google meet but ye sams
I am fully supportive of this guy lol. he is doing what I wish I could do in my spare time. Hard times have come about I cant do it financially right now. I cant wait to get a good wheel, shifter and pedal setup!!! This looks so awesome
You forgot the 250F
*Juan Manuel Sheddio tutting*
Another great vid - good job Jimmy, stay strong and awesome buddy.
Tip: pay attention to the names of the "drivers"
Shakinnen
My favourite ever Jimmy Broadbent video. Thank you.
"Shakkinen" goddamn ya'll did Mika dirty with that :/
On second thought, at least 3 drivers were done dirty like that.
Truly great content!
Goodwood is super fun and this is a format I'd love to more of
This McLaren had "Drink" "Pls" buttons lmao
PLS = Pit Lane Speed limiter.
Kimi should have driven it
Amazing video! It should go down in automotive history.
Great work, Jimmer!
Also, I propose Valterri's last name to be changed to "Huttas"
the auto union type c is an absolute mad beast. It had a 6.5L supercharged V16 that ran on alcoholfuels. It was way ahead of its time. It could spin the wheels at 100mph and was sometimes fitted with 2 wheels to improve handling. It is an absolute monster
No one: Bugatti in1932: Lets place the exhaust next to the drivers legs so he drives faster so he can get out faster
Sorry for the language im from Germany 😬
Didnt make any mistakes, honestly made me laugh
Such an Epic video Jimmer. Really enjoyed this one
Well i was quickest the comments and to the vid and to the like button lets just say
You really have to appreciate the effort of the editing cause i LOVE the names in the Scoreboards LOL
Feel a mini series type of thing here... Different types of cars through the ages + a Goodwood fix.. 👌🏻👌🏻
Awesome video Jimmy! I'd personally love to see the evolution of iconic Le Mans cars running up the hill!
Hey Jimmer, B&Q just called, They want their sheds bacc
My god that Auto Union really is BRUTAL to drive. But you handled it really well, it's nice to see it in the hands of someone who knows wtf they are doing... I play around with it all the time but I dont know if I've ever even made a valid lap with it.
I wish I could love the current cars as much as I love cars from the late 90s early 2000s but they just feel bland by comparison. I know that's a crazy thing to say considering how insanely good they are but perhaps they're just too good? Quali laps seem too easy in them. They never look as though their going to bite or snap at the drivers. The challenge seems less. What do I know I'm just a sofa pleb but '96-2004, those cars were magic!
Great video. Love seeing cars from different eras.
"When these cars are gone, you will miss them."
Nah, I'll be glad the era of ridiculously dirty aero is dead. Long live ground effect!
Won't miss the "sound", won't miss the ugliness, won't miss the DRS (hopefully that should go).
My dream wish is that they massively reduce downforce and mechanical grip so we have some 60s era 4 wheel drifting going on, but they'll never do that.
@@C.I... Man if I had my way, F1 would just be more or less CART. Low wing downforce, high groundeffect, big ass tires, stupid amounts of turbo horsepower, and you can buy you chassis from wherever you want as long as it meets the rules.
You'll love next years regulations then
me: learning how to drive from jimmy's videos
Jimmy: we boged, CLUTCH KICK BABY!
me: bogs
also me: Sick clutch kick

The engine alone is not 1000. The totall with ers yes
Nah man Renault engine is 1000hp.
@@TheStargov Again, it's the entire power unit that is around 1000hp, not the engine alone.
The latest analysis on how much power each power unit has in 2020 suggests these results:
Mercedes: 1022
Honda: 994
Renault: 985
Ferrari: 980
I remember that article where Renault claimed to have 1000hp last year but this was then contradicted by the rest of the teams, who were claiming that nobody was at 1000hp yet. But this was last year.
@@Miloristify chill dude. It's a meme.
@@Miloristify r/woooosh
Top work, was holding my breath everytime you went past the flint wall 😮
Big grats to Shacciardo, what a run. Driver of the day for me had to be Shedda though, hurling that Lotus 98T up the hill and the first sub 40s time, absolutely shedstonishing.
Another great vid Jimmer. Never seen a bad one from you either. Thank you 👍
