@@Kaitivere an old attraction, the PeopleMover was a bit like the Monorail, and it passed through several different Tomorrowland attractions. Closed in ‘98ish, became the Rocket Rods, which lasted about a year altogether with how often it broke down.
My cousin and I went on this last year. Halfway through the ride, the lights turned on and it stopped moving. We were sitting there for about twenty minutes before they had to unlock the seats and pull us out. We were given some line-jump passes because of this but never got to use them since it was our last day there. I've still got them as a weird souvenir. :)
Same thing happened to be back when I was four years old. It's caused me to have a fear of being underground/in tunnels haha

It may not be the fastest, tallest, or have any loops, but this rollercoaster is special in so many other ways, and it brings tears to my eyes watching this thing in action.
There is way more coasters with none of those that are better than this and some with those things.

I’ve ridden dozens of coasters, and even though you pretty much just turn right in this ride i absolutely love it. The sense of not knowing where you going along with the theming in the queue and up the list hills, the soundtrack and the vibe….I absolutely love it
It's too bad they didn't make it look like you were flying through space, like past planets, and stars, around asteriods etc...
It's JUST stars actually, except for ghost galaxy and hyperspace

I hate roller coasters, but I'm going to Disneyland with my friend for Christmas, and she really wants me to go on Space Mountain with her. I think I want to, since it doesn't look too bad. But I haven't been on a roller coaster of any sort for about 3 or 4 years, so would this ride be okay? Or too intense? (I don't really have a problem with the speed/turns. I just hate drops, and the fact that it's super dark bothers me a little)

years ago my cousin and I got on & at the very beginning of the ride as it starts out going up we started out only heard a few clicks and the ride got stuck. We waited about a half hour and they eventually fixed it but we had to ride the the entire ride with all the lights on...it made the ride ten times more intense then the usual ride with all the flashing lights from the dark....because we saw ALL THE BARS AND FRAMES YOU LITERALLY FELT LIKE YOUR HEAD WAS GOING TO BE CHOPPED OFF OR STRAIGHT RUN INTO THE WALLS. I LOVE Space Mountain to begin with but it actually was amazing how much more scarier it was with all the lights on.

I went in July although my preferred time to visit is September and October when the crowds are much less. :) When was your last trip to Disneyland?

+ThemeParkHD So it doest not have any loopings or anything that you makes you go upside down or anything like that? because I try to avoid rides like that. Call me a chicken but the idea of hanging upside down or doing a loop just gives me a fear for heartheaattacks and throwin up.
+Thundasius you basically go up and down and you turn left and right. There are no loops, I've been on that ride and i have the same fear. Also, in the ride, you can't see anything except little lights, it's pitch black.

I've been on three Space Mountains (Orlando, Anaheim, Paris) and the thing I appreciate the most about them (besides the theming) is the incredible architecture of the rides. The engineers designed these rides with very little space (pardon the pun) and created tracks where it looks like you're going to get your head or hands chopped off. Seeing how tight the structure is makes it all the more amazing that they got such an iconic ride built.

I am BEYOND grateful for this video! I’ve been to Disney so many times but I’ve never gone on this. I’ve always been a fan of roller coasters, but after riding the mummy at universal, I’ve been terrified of them! It made my whole body hurt in ways I can’t explain. I hate drops because I almost slipped out of the Jurassic Park ride because I’m so tiny! Watching this has eased my nerves!
Seriously, someone needs to do the same thing but with Space Mountain Mission 2!

It’s not that low. It just looks like it. I kept my hands up the whole time and they’re still attached to my body.

Did you know Space mountain has scariest ghost in the ride but you are lucky that you did not see the ghost it’s not a bad thing I mean you can see it on Night vision some times

Just saw this! Thank you for the upload. I rode Space Mountain just last week and was so curious what the track really looked like, because it was so dark. I didnt know what was going on or where we were heading while in there kkk. All I know is the adrenaline rush because of its speed and twists and turns in the midst of the darkness and galaxy-ish sounds.

This is only video I have seen that shows the old peoplemover windows inside space mountian ( at 2:04)
The only thing I liked about this was almost at the end when it went faster and faster but overall I didn't really enjoy this due to the fact that it was so dark and you didn't know where you were going so it might hurt your neck a little when it turns suddenly (it's full of turns and no drops)

You should definitely come to Disneyland Resort Paris, our Space Mountain is waaaay better!! First you start by a strong acceleration through the big cannon to go up to the top and in the French Space Mountain you have loopings and twists and it goes much faster too!!
One masterpiece of a theme park ride! Love the music that goes with this! As a kid... I went into hysterical mode... like freak out. I was shaking like a leaf when I got off. It is that almost perfect darkness and all those twisting turns.
7 year old me liked it because its a sci-fithrill ride.
14 year old found it boring as a thrill ride because it wasnt as exciting as other amusement parks and had no inversions.
Current me loves this rice cause I can appreciate the theming, engineering, and history of the ride.

Although I haven't been on Space Mountain in Paris yet (I'm going there this week) the one there seems way better. Disney Paris gets bad reviews but Space Mountain there at least has a loop!
Thank you for filming this with night vision. I've had Brain Surgeries when I was younger so I was never able to ride this ride and always wanted to know what the experience was that my family had while on it. Thanks again...looks pretty fun

Seems like Space Mountain is similar to Big Thunder Mountain and Matterhorn because it doesn't have any big drops or loops. Therefore, it probably isn't as bad as I thought.
Matterhorn is the first Indoor Roller Coaster too.

Silent Noise The Disneyland Paris version? Not really, maybe the first time but after it's really cool. My 10yo sister loves this ride. To me, the most terrifying attractions are Tower Of Terror (I just hate it, it's horrible ;_;) and Rock'N'Roller Coaster (to 0 at 62 mph in 2 secondes + 2 loops too) The californian space mountain seems really slow ^^'

ok to all you haters of this ride, it is actually really fun ok? yeah it might be not as crazy as incredicoaster but it is really fun!! don't be a jerk! this ride is way more fun because it's in the dark and you don't know where you're going, so that adds a big thrill factor into the actual attraction. It might look kind of babyish with the lights on but it is really thrilling in person. when you make those fast turns it's a really thrilling and good feeling so i would have to say that this is one of my favorite rides at the park but not the most thrilling ones. so definitely if you can't do big thunder mountain or matterhorn you shouldn't do this one but if you could do splash mountain or incredicoaster you could for sure do this ride.

あくまでネット情報ですが、システム故障かなんかで場内の電気がついた時にお札なんてどこにもなかったそうです。でも、同じお札でもゲストの安全を願う意図であればちょっと嬉しいかも。
Honestly one of my worst nightmares is getting on a ride that’s too dark to see inside and it ending up being a roller coaster so thank god for videos like these so I know which rides to avoid
Thank you so much for sharing. I'm 34 yrs. old..and cried on my last coaster ride here in PA. Hershey has a wooden coaster, no loops, etc. but for some reason I just didn't like it. At all. I used to ride upside down R.C.'s back when I was young so I don't know what happened! Maybe too many yrs passed, and I just can't handle that anymore.
I always wondered what Space Mtn. would be like (never been to Disney) and now seeing it's not upside down I know I'd be fine if I ever get to go. So thank you for sharing. It helps A LOT to see what you're in for ahead of time ; )
It's 35 mph. They blow wind in your face so it feels like your going faster. The ride is dark with stars and loud sounds. The seats are comfortable. There are also lapbars that are adjustable
It doesn't ruin it for me either. It just makes me appreciate the ride more. :)
This is not 30 or 35 mph, maybe Disney say this so you can feel safer during the ride
Definitely not. I had a panic attack on that ride (something about the pitch blackness and speed set me off!) and I've been on rides much faster than 30 mph and had no issues.
I did too but my family thought that I was crazy for saying that the ride is really fast

I’m gonna be honest, since I’m a wimp I only watched this video to check if the ride had loops..
Hated it because I didn't wear my glasses and when they showed the stars and played dramatic music (around 1:20,) I saw blobs of white. And the drop wasn't exciting either.
I used to take off my glasses. I don't anymore. It's *way* better with them on. Try it that way sometime.
Yeah, I took off my glasses too. The darkness aspect doesn't scare me much since I'm pretty much blind on all roller coasters anyway.

Disneyland's version makes me dizzy. It needs more changes in direction as opposed to straight, turn right, straight turn right. The whole time I was screaming for it to turn left so I didn't get sick.
It's perfect just the way it is! If there were any changes then it wouldn't be the Space I love so much!

I've been on both and Disneylands is better. In the dark, the turns feel much faster and tighter. This one is also very smooth.

I did Space Mountain last week when I went to Disneyland with my boyfriend. I hated it. haha. Now seeing what it looks like on the inside it really doesn't seem that bad. I think it's the darkness that makes it seem faster and more terrifying. At least for me. All the same, I don't think I'll do it ever again.

Excellent video. I remember me and my mother first riding this when I was eight. We were both terrified. Not I'm a coaster junkie. :-) I still think the Disney World version is more intense.

Back in the 90s my dad used to work at Disneyland. A 7 foot man put his hands up and got them chopped off. Disney closed the ride for 3 years to redesign it

My brother went to Paris when he was little with my family. He and my mom went on space mountain there and he now is scarred for life. He is afraid of roller coasters now and I think the thing that really traumatized him was that when the ride came to an end, my mom got stuck in the seat and I think some of the French people we being really rude about it (because we're American and my mom is sorta heavy). I feel bad for my older bro.

I went on this ride back in 1989. I was scared but it was fun also.
When I got off the ride I was dizzy, my dad carried me to the candy store (which had soda) and let's say when I drank that, I was up and ready xD
Me and my sister (who have never been on this ride) convinced my mom to go on it with us ( not knowing what kind of a roller coaster it is) . And after we got off my mom was like” THAT WAS SO MUCH AND FOR WHAT” and I was like “ eh it was ok”
