I see a lot of negative comments but first off, if you are worried about money then yes you can't afford her so move on. It's called a yacht not a row boat. It's in beautiful shape and the cosmetic updates from the 70s is minimal. A classic for sure and in wonderful shape. Thanks for the presentation. I hope she finds a new owner who can appreciate her.
It’s a lot of boat for 35k but it is a pile of garbage at the same time 😂 I’m in the industry believe me I’m tearing one up right now
Wow! That's a lot of boat for $35,000. She's beautiful.
I agree 👍
I skipped school with a friend in the early seventies. His father owned a wooden Trojan on the Chesapeake bay. We took the boat out that day and ran into a submerged dock piling. The boat sank fast. We were close to shore and swam in. Not long after my friend was in the army.
Oh dear😂 thàt must have caused a stirr.....in the army they might teach you to break all kinds of other things by the way😊
reminds me of fun , but a bit of a unfortunate ending ,
good times!!

Someone really loved that boat. The maintenance required to keep her in that shape, a good buy for someone who has some time, knowledge, energy and a need for adventure.
If I was 20 years younger and lived on the coast I'd buy her. Beautiful restoration.
Someone has a lot more invested than 35k, beautiful boat and tastefully done. Nothing wrong with wood hull’s or gas engines. I have had all kinds of boats over the course of my life. You are either experienced enough to maintain or you’re not. Very nice boat.
I remember this style of boat growing up in Florida. Even the 65 ft. Connie at a thousand dollars a foot.
Picture yourself on this boat some evening having dinner with friends. while it’s pelting down rain. How warm and
Inviting compared to so many plastic boats made today.
Im a old boat builder from Australia 🇦🇺 and I can smell it from here!
What a blast from the past! It's been a long while since seeing a Benmar auto pilot installed much less a Sitex CRT radar. Boat looks to have perfectly early preserved / pickled 1970 electronics.
My father was a Trojan dealer in the 70's and 80's. I worked for him as a teenager and endless amounts of teak cleaning on them. Pics put a smile on my face as I've only seen a few still around. The teak however not so much!
I lived on a 28 ft 1965 Trojan for a summer on the Barge Canal in upstate NY in the late 80s it was one of the best summers of my life
This boat is a steal!!
Nice boat at a very nice price.
That is a beautiful Trojan. I love my 88' 10 Meter but this is a nautical masterpiece!
Wow!!!!! A work of art, plain and simple. I can see myself up here on the great lakes being the king with this vessel. Damn it man. Wow!!!
My Trojan was only 28 feet long but the teakwood decks the varnish work inside and out with absolutely unbelievable love that boat it was a 1964 Jerry Mcdonogh
It's a time capsule. Stunning boat.
Looks period correct, down to the avocado appliances.
in 1974 when i was 21 i bought a 1968 Chris Craft Connie 57 foot and lived on it for 36 years and in 1988 i bought a 1969 Trojan 42 foot to flip , these are very underrated yachts and among the the prettiest IMO , to bad this Trojan is gas not diesel
Beautiful boat, love the old ones.
we had the 36' of this ilk. was a "trojan" on the mississipi with many voyages from memphis to vicksburg, outiings nearly every week. same 325's felt awesome throttle down. this one looks mint. the real questions are engine conditions and structural integrity but, wow, nice.
What a wonderful Great Loop boat! ❤️👍😎
I'm having a flash back to the 70's
That's the best place for it. Inside a boat shed
Very liveable for a couple or one person.
That is a freaking GORGEOUS boat, in your quick tour it looked like there were a few rough spots in the engine room but the rest of it, other than the galley equipment (looked original by the color) looks gorgeous! I just wish I had the $$ to buy her.
back in the 80's I owned a 28 foot Trojan, loved that boat it had a 327 ran great ,lots of party nights were spent on that boat.
I remember those votes when I was a little kid a friend of mine his family had a 42 Trojan like this.
Incredible time capsule. Made in Pennsylvania. I'm guessing twin 330 Chryslers .
Not quite a Constellation, but close. I'll bet this is the only one left
Twin Mercruiser 454's
Not a problem prior to the OPEC oil crisis in 1973
Gasoline cost $ 0.36 / Gallon
This was the same year that Kissinger had Nixon adopt the Petrodollar.
@@Predikant add inflation to it from then to now
@@bertram46 Correct, adjusted to 2024 money it would be approximately $ 2.84
@Predikant and that's at 30-35 gph. About a half a mile to the gallon w 4 barrels opened up
If only I didn't live in UK! What value for this classic yacht!
beautiful boat.
Wood hull, which explains the price.
Maintenance

Simply not worth it
Having lived on a wood boat for 5 yrs… yup
I’m not a boater, but that makes sense. Thanks for the comment.
Steel hull has entered the chat.
So has rust 😂
Insurance company just left town ,with slim and none 😭

Beautiful boat at 50 years old. I'd way sooner have the old-time elegance of this than some similar sized, overpriced plastic bleach bottle. But, alas, age has caught up with me and I have to sell my 50' schooner sometime this year.
Sweet , I could live on it
Perfect schip voor een klein prijsje. 😊
Beautiful boat. If not for choosing to be landlocked to be near my grandkids I'd be tempted to sell my house and live on it.
Very nice boat
Great bones. Could be updated, but it really is a time capsule worth preserving. New tanks would be good.
Ship! and beautifull....real classy
Looks like a ‘brand spanker’! 👍
Google claims it's a fiberglass hull....that makes it a steal unless you intend to cruise a lot in which case the gasoline cost will be substantial. Perfect for a liveaboard though.
It's all wood
All wood made by Amish craftsmen
It belongs in a movie,,,or a commercial,,,I’m thinking martinis and oysters
Love it!
Its a beautiful boat, but in Washington, marinas are refusing to rent slips or boathouses to any wooden boat, no matter how well maintained. No sense in buying it if there is no place you can moor it.
Holy cow!
Looking great. Add another 100k for updating and it’s a whole new yacht.
beautiful classic, however 35 grand is nothing compared to the covered and enclosed boathouse necessary for her. here in the pacific NW almost impossible to find or afford.
Thats not a boat it is a time capsule
Why can't these magnificent boats be on the Chesapeake?? Always Great Lakes or Seattle!
Because the salt water would make that impossible!
I wonder how the fishing would be in that boathouse?
Where is the boat? I’d like to buy it!
It will cost you aleast $35 k every year to keep it looking like that!
If you don’t have a place to keep her out of the weather (except while in use) she won’t look like that for long.❤
Beautiful boat, terrible background music.
Just mucking with ya. Beautiful boat , wood hull or fiberglass?
Don't walk run away you never want to own a large boat with a wooden hull ....Ever !
but so enticing; I'd just get it to a dock and park it and live on it. but I guess it would start to leak and then hold on to your hat and your bank account.
Interesting electronics. Never seen those before. What brand and what do they do?
I’ll trade my house for it
Upkeep.
Upkeep.
Upkeep.
Waaaaay too much work, to maintain.
Beautiful boat and a very reasonable price. Not sure, but engines look like big block Chevy gas engines. Maybe that's why the price is so low; no diesel engines.
I want it
Would work great in Lakes Michigan, Wisconsin
Why does $35 K sound short in 2024?
So, why so cheap? Was it underwater? Oh i see. Twin gas engines…blah…need diesels
Wow. She's stuck in the 70s, huh.
😂, just a couple of questions. Horse power, fuel tanks hold ? What's the hull made of. What distance can a full tank go. How old are the motors, no one make parts for a 1971 motor, when was the last refit. Can it be moved , or trucked, how heavy is it. Are the seat cushions, 1971, ( wow, what a smell if they are.).
A white elephant, tied up... To die,.. corpus $35.000, for a restaurant, parking lot. For fresh frozen, Sea food..🎉
Parts for a 71 engine which is a small block Chevy are not only available, they are very inexpensive. the cushions in the V berth definitely look original, but they also would only cost 2 or 3 hundred dollars to replace. my concerns are appliances, head and all the harvest gold and avocado green everywhere 🤣.
454 is a big block and parts are everywhere, at reasonable cost.
Most house for $35k you'll find!
Can change locations!
Ya but it costs $35,000 every year just to maintain it
@integr8er66 no the rule of thumb is about 10% of cost so about $3,500.
Not bad if you are in nice locations
Hmmm.....Is this a wood hull or fiberglass...????
That seems like a lot of boat for $35 K.
$350K perhaps?
Typo?
What about the Hatteras LRC berthed next to her, is she for sale?????
Correction that is not an LRC.Flushdeck .
Very Bristol!
Where is it located?
Is it still forsale?
Somethings wrong.
“Yachting for the flat broke”….
That’s a grown man’s yacht. Serious inquiries only.
way too much for one man to maintain full time job
Buyer beware. Or better yet, walk away . . .
Damn that's a lot of charteuse! 🤢
WTF IS THIS "MUSIC"
Surely $135,000. ?? There has to be a numeral missing.
The missing number is maintenance
Want to buy the Brooklyn bridge 🤣
The urge to buy this and have it shipped to my location 🥹
Stunning yacht. Horrific amount of money lost in labor, material, in the restoration and maintenance.
