Quinn Hughes is set to make Vancouver Canucks history as early as next season and Nikita Zadorov speaks out on the Canucks and how Elias Lindholm was not properly used. Mark Pye breaks down these reports and more on this episode of Canucks Digest.

Zadorov is hyping his teammate which is what good teammates do. No hate there. Lindholm got the ice time he deserved based on the level he played at. That meant less when he was underperforming and more when he raised his game. I like that the Canucks didn't overpay for Big Z. He's a fun player to watch but there's a reason he has bounced around the league.
I still find it was a slap in the face to reject $5 mil AAV from the Canucks, only to take $5 mil AAV from the Bruins, after all his talk of "taking a home town discount to stay." The Canucks got on top of offering him his 5x5 pretty quickly after they'd handled the Mikheyev problem.
Quinn is so good at defending he won the Vezina 😉 😀
I think big Z is reassuring Boston fans that Lindholm can be a 1 C.

Adorns speaking the truth not takings jabs Lindholm was used like he normally is canucks were just stacked at centres played down in the line up gave us insane depth but now he’s playing 1 c why wouldn’t lindholm want to go some where in laying top line minutes Z is supporting his team mate and that’s not disrespecting Vancouver
Noah Juulsen is a more reliable player than Desharnais. Noah clearly studied/mentored Schenn's game
Forbort reminds me of Poolman with more height and edge to his game.

I thought the Canucks got hosed on the Lindholm trade. Gave up way too much for a rental. And I thought they gave up on Kuzmenko too early. Only been in North America for just over a year and they expected him to shine right away. Well, he did in year one, but, he got in Tocchet's dog housein year two, and that's not a place to be it looks like. Once he's acclimated into a new country and learns about playing in the NHL, he'll probably do just fine.

Management made the Lindholm trade having discussed whether they would be okay even if he walked after the season, they were. Zedorov is pissed because he really wanted to stay in Vancouver but Allvin wasn't willing to exceed what the team offered. Z's famous for spewing venom when his feefees are hurt.
Hughe with the vezna trophy definitely on his top 10 ever of career even as young as he is !!

Hughes was not so effective in the playoffs when teams zeroed in on him with hits at every opportunity. But he is tough and I think he will adjust his game to overcome that problem
There are very few players in the nhl who can play their best when zeroed in on. Maybe 3 or 4 players in the league.

I don't know, I think that Nashville Predator who got his angles broken during the setup for the Boesser goal with 6 seconds left would beg to differ. I'm sure he's still hobbling around on crutches his ankles were broken that bad by Hughes' sick moves. Z wasnt throwing shade he was pumping up his teamate. What he said was the truth. Personally i thonk Z left the canucks for family reasons , he even alluded to it in his good bye statement. Van is a high crime, high homeless, drug infested city with high taxes and terrible traffic. Mountains arent everything
I think he's also giving a nod to how good JT and Pettey are. Hard to supplant those 2 as a top 2 centre. On any other team, each would be the clear #1 centre, yet 1 of them will always be #2 to the other's #1.

Edler’s point total as highest ever for a Canuck dman is quite laughable. Shows the Canucks never did have a good dman until Hughes. Edler was so overrated. As far as most electrifying players, for sure Hughes and if you grew up in the Bure era he was just as satisfying to watch.
Lol Hughes would've been killed in the bure era or nassy era dman back then were made to hit and shut guys down not score goals the games just changed
They've had some great D-men, just never for long enough to amass many points with the Canucks. They've had Paul Reinhart, Jyrkie Lumme, Ed Jovanovski, Mattias Ohland, Kevin Bieksa, Jeff Brown, and Christian Eirhoff was lights out with the Canucks, though not so much before and after his one year with the Canucks. If you don't know about these guys, that makes me think you may be a younger Canucks fan and never got to see them play.
If Myers returns to be a top 4 Dmen this team will struggle. He’s good at a 5/6 position but definitely not top 4.

200 in 263. Quinn Hughes set that all time NHL record in the 2022-2023 season, reaching that lofty Assists total faster then Paul Coffey, faster then the previous record holder, Brian Leetch, faster even then Bobby Orr. Overrated indeed.
