Jasmine rice use less water . Also the more rice the less water in terms of ratio. I have cooked rice three times a day for 50 yrs. I also cook rice with charcoal and wood fire. I learned to cook rice with wood fire since I was not born in the states. The crunchy bits on the bottom sometimes I desirable where I m from because you can do many things with it . It’s like a treat . Close the lid and let the steam work on the crust in the bottom, it will come out in 1 piece .

I only eat brown rice, but I cook 1 cup in the Dash all the time. If you put the cooker on top of a cookie sheet, it leads to less of a mess.

Perfect for me is Jasmine rice 1- 1/2 cup and 2 cups water and I spray olive oil in cooker. I do use their cup for measuring. This wil make full pot of rice.

I’m trying mine for the first time now. Making half a box of rice a roni. I halved the recipe. 😊 It should fit.

I've overfilled my Dash a few times with similar results, so I don't always wait for the cook button to click off if the rice seems done enough.

I use 3/4 cup white rice and double water (1 1/2 cups) - comes out perfect. That's for slightly sticky rice. If you want firmer rice drop the water to 1 and a 1/4 cups.

BTW you used a liquid measuring cup for both the dry rice and the water. When I do that my rice gets a bit soft, too much water to rice ratio.

The silver circle is not level on the bottom and causes the top to be wobbly. Is it broken or is this usual?

If the lid is lifted or removed while it’s cooking, in my experience with mine, it doesn’t regulate the temperature and stays on instead of the thermostat cycling on and off which can burn your food to the bottom😊. Love your videos👍😊

I like most of these little appliances, but I think I would get a regular size Rice Cooker. I have a n 8 cup one and love it. I add rice to so many dishes now. I made mac & cheese in it too 😊

I only get crunchy when undercooked. I always have so much boil over even if washed & soaked. I think it’s my rice. I’m going to try jasmine next time.

I usually weigh my cup of rice out and use only 1 cup water for long grain white rice.

Trying to find the exact measures for 1 cup of rice, to make it a firmer rice. I am doing for the first time, I added a bit less then 2 cups of water. We shall see. ,😅

Use what the the cooker says for a cup of white rice only use 1 1/4th cup of water. If you want it firmer use a little less water. I think you are using too much water for this machine anyways it does not take 2 cups of water like you would use on the stove.

You were supposed to use the included measuring cup and fill it to the line in the pot for one cup. Would love to see how that works.

Maybe it more suitable for 1 cup of rice in asian measurement, 1 cup of rice here is 180ml not 250ml in US cup measurement… suitable for 2 portion of rice, usually I only eat half cup uncooked rice. But others might eat 3/4 cup or even 1 cup…
