49 years old and this video puts a lump in my throat. It's almost unbelievable that its not actual footage. Set in Manchester, but it was exactly the same down south for us. A nationwide vibe - gone forever but that's what makes it so bitter sweet. The genius of the video is that it illustrates exactly what it was like for the generations that came later - and they can feel it without even being there.
48 here. Just saw Chase and Status on tour in Cardiff. The mix of ages there was brilliant. Teenage kids (like mine who came with me) and oldies from the 1970s all raving in one room. This video looks like it was found footage from a Betamax It’s brilliant
Any of todays youth watching, just know...This was life back in the day, good music, good times, people of all races and backgrounds together and nobody got stabbed ! Better times. 😎

Just rewatched this for the first time in probably 6 or 7 years and I'm flooded with memories of that time lol. Some great and tumultuous memories! 31 btw so not far behind you, but man... This brings back some not so long gone youth in me!
Wow - Memories from throughout the 90's and very early 00's of emerging from the club or warehouse at Sunrise with my friends (like at the end of this nostalgic video), my body and mind completely wrecked from dancing all right, shivering cold from my sweat-soaked t-shirt, probably lost my jacket again, a long walk or drive home ahead of us ... but quietly smiling to myself and to others from having had an absolutely epic night of raving and partying with everyone there, lots of bear-hugs, tingling head-rubs, and the annoying tinnitus - They were great, memorable times, so glad I experienced it, have survived it, and now have moved on happily, like some others here.
Wow, Great description. I can remember many similar experiences, (DOORS OPEN..Oh crap, where are my Sunglasses...? Phew, don't know how I've still got them, but thank F o.O k ;) As the journey home in the early morning blindin' Sun was quite an experience.. Specially on the Tube.. With all those sensible looking commuters. Quite a wonderful few years, but some of my friends stayed too long on that 'ride' and ended up getting a bit too pickled..! 😏
+Sandra Le Vett + Dave O'Shaughnessy Both of your comments relate to me too. Unfortunately some of my friends are still trying to live like that into their late 30's & pickled is an understatement! I'd kill my kids if they did some of the shizzle that I used to get up to lol! #1981baby
+Dave O'Shaughnessy Well Dave, there are still those of us who still carry on that way, me for one, best dayz of our lives mate. These times are terrible in my opinion for us oldskool ravers but it's tracks like this that bring it all back, respect for the words, spot on.....

This video brings me to tears of happiness and I don't know why... I was born in 1996 so I never got to experience this, yet I still get an overwhelming nostalgic feeling from this. I'm also from Manchester too, so the fact that this video is based in Manchester and features a load of Mancunians makes it all the more relevant. I can only dream of what it was like back then with no mobile phones, no social media, just pure fun with your mates. I'd love to be able to go back and experience one of these warehouse raves, and it's such a gutting feeling knowing that's not a possibility :/ at least this video gives an accurate depiction of what those days were like. This video deserves far more credit that it's given. And for anyone wondering (because I was and had to look it up), this isn't real footage from the 90's, it's all filmed on the same equipment that would have been used back in the day, and they hired hundreds of extras to dress in the 90's rave attire and legitimately had them raving for 6+ hours!

Every generation has their time. Don't you think the 80s kids were jealous of missing out on the 70s summer of love, but they got their time in the 90s in the rave culture. Ik the millennium hasn't had such great social changes like this, but it has become a digital age, then an internet age. Idk as I'm too old to feel the pulse, but I would guess now, the social media age, is pretty shitty. Though with crap like twerking and tinder I bet it is a piece of cake to get laid for this generation, more easier than ever before. I would trade my raving memories in a heartbeat for tinder and online gaming in my teens
Im 30 now. settling down, kids on the way. But i will never forget the days of popping a couple gurners and going to a rave and listening to these sort of tunes. Just the music and your mates. Absolutely epic and this song will always give me goosebumps
@@ryanbiddie8201 I guess. I would if i could but all my friends have stopped raving. I almost wanna just leave it as memories now. Even the new rave scene doesnt have the same vibe as it used to. Everyone was all about commmunity and love and sharing back then. Now its all instagram stories and showing off.
Yep exactly people these days to busying taking fuckn selfies to post up on instagram and to check how many likes they get , instead of being in the moment and enjoying the atmosphere
Pink Hundred Watts No mobiles in those days. All done from phonebox , up & down the M1. 19/20 yr old kids in warehouses or fields. once in a boxing gym. AmnesiaHouseLeicester.
Right! People were actually enjoying the moment rather than experiencing it through a screen. I love when people watch an entire show through their phone. As if the sound and video quality will be better than the authentic experience. They miss out on the real deal to simply have a video to show off later; a video that doesn't come close to capturing the moment.
This video always brings me back in time to an beautiful era of raving back in the 90's early 2000s. Great music , vibes, and pills back then. Absolutely glad i got to experience the rave scene starting back in 95'. This generation, will never have it as good , as we did back in the day. This video still gives me chills and big ole smile to some cheerful memories still locked in my head forever! Cheers everyone, I'm from New Orleans.

the start of the 90's up till 1998 were a dream come true in my life for a proper rave, from underground spots that started at eleven at night till eight in the morning in the early 90's,man I remember walking out and looking at myself in a big glass window, red eyed and walking home drinking milk left outside shops before they open, getting chill's thinking about it,big, big part of my life that I will never forget
Absolutely soo nostalgic, 52 now and this just sums up the beauty of life and going out back then, an epic night out, the whole package of smokinh, no phones, great Es and bloody great music
A stellar piece of music. The video absolutely captures the dance scene of the time. There is a real sense energy, excitement and anticipation in the actors. Superb.
I shown my dad this video not so long ago as he raved throughout the pill scene in the early 90’s and brought a tear to his eye as it reminded him of the good old days so wish I grew up in this era!
made everyone keep phones in their pockets while at the rave scene and they brought their own wardrobe of clothes if what you turned up in wasnt 90’s enough. was an epic night!
SUCH A TUNE!!!!! Bring us back to the 90's, watchin that video gives me goosebumps I swear they were awesome times. Plus I love the words to this tune :)
xXohCarolina Xx That's so true!! What's going on with majority of the moves these days??! lol I say the 90's was the time to be alive, but I suppose everyone has their own opinion on that 😃 you just reminded me of this and I'm listening to I again, thanks dude 😊👍
State, Quadrant park, Bowlers, leeds factory. South got onto the breakbeat / jungle tip. Up north it was more hardcore techno, 4 to the floor, stomping beat. Dry ice, lasers & strobes
Anthony Holt : Too right mate, Liverpool to Essex on a damp Friday 90's night on a tip-off from somebody we'd never met. Ended up seeing The Prodigy fuckin live! Got home 8 o'clock Monday morning....
This was the era I grew up in and it was just the same in my town! There was not many mobile phones about when I was first going to the local boozer which is where everyone met up. Most days I would be in there playing pool and having a pint.. it's just what you did then. Sad now how many of the local pubs have been priced out with rising costs of tax and business tax. In the late 90's a pint of larger was about £1.40 to £1.80 now it's over £4.00! Crazy.
God I miss this, not the track, that's mint, this video is like a Van Gogh, a Picasso, no, it's more than that, an actual time machine. We have inevitable bias to music from our teens/adolesence, but this raises the game, it's timeless in my eyes and ears. Thank you Chase & Status & director.

It was beautiful. Just know that those that understood how special it was didn’t waste a moment of it.
Yeah I’d kill to experience a 90s rave :/
I was there man i saw some things :) lol the good old days Illegal raves and banging tunes with a field full of like minded people .......
Im 30 now. settling down, kids on the way. But i will never forget the days of popping a couple gurners and going to a rave and listening to these sort of tunes. Just the music and your mates. Absolutely epic and this song will always give me goosebumps
It doesn't have to end man... Just makes them times mean more... Most old school nights are old heads anyway
Only 30 keep it going still young 🙌
@@ryanbiddie8201 I guess. I would if i could but all my friends have stopped raving. I almost wanna just leave it as memories now. Even the new rave scene doesnt have the same vibe as it used to. Everyone was all about commmunity and love and sharing back then. Now its all instagram stories and showing off.
@stoxocube18 I'm 29 and have a 7 year old lad and off to a rave in April, off me head loving it, very rare but I still manage to do it
I went to Thailand and ibiza last year age 38 and 39 first time to both there's no age limit to having a good time
One of the best songs ever made.
Love those mk2 Ford Fiesta Xr2 at the beginning
My favourite tune of all time.....totally underestimated... .absolute classic..........hairs on back of my neck won't go down ...xxx
Great times missed...not one fucking selfie in sight !!
Pink Hundred Watts yaaaaas exactly what i was thinking...we wern't obsessed with how we looked every second just let the music take you away 🙌
Yep exactly people these days to busying taking fuckn selfies to post up on instagram and to check how many likes they get , instead of being in the moment and enjoying the atmosphere
Pink Hundred Watts human interaction and the music was all that was needed back in the day lad 👍 well said
Pink Hundred Watts No mobiles in those days.
That's cool man. There was a dance music scene there? I'm uk
@@Ulnvtcydr this spot right here where big parties were held but it drew roo much attention to the feds and eventually got shut down. We had big djs perform there. It was amazing time to rave!

In a strange and marvelous way, this is the most beautiful video I've ever watched
A nostalgia bomb of epic memories. Innocence passed. And the future all ahead of us.
What. A. Time. ❤️
This video is absolute perfection. To whoever filmed and/or edited this, thank you.
Well said.
It's just perfect 😊
the start of the 90's up till 1998 were a dream come true in my life for a proper rave, from underground spots that started at eleven at night till eight in the morning in the early 90's,man I remember walking out and looking at myself in a big glass window, red eyed and walking home drinking milk left outside shops before they open, getting chill's thinking about it,big, big part of my life that I will never forget
Honestly. Could cry. So incredibly accurate. I want it all back . just for a night.
Couldn't agree more...I can't abide this generation....I'm a 90's kid and I haven't grown up since..I adore this tune on a massive scale x
42 still raving and still absolutely love this tune and the video couldn't be anymore of a true reflection of my past
UK music will always be class!
Bad tune reminds me back in the day? N I'm sure alot of other people will agree. Good old days.
In France we say.
British have the worst food in the whole EU and the best Music scene of the whole continent.
@@XavierAncarno i'm agree with that, and i'm from Basque Country. ( North of Spain)
Mm maybe, you have stromae so it's a decent challenge
@@XavierAncarno I'm English and agree haha
I was 17 and it was some best nights of my life all over England this video captured every emotion 👏
Absolutely soo nostalgic, 52 now and this just sums up the beauty of life and going out back then, an epic night out, the whole package of smokinh, no phones, great Es and bloody great music
SENSATION HIGH !
Goosebumps! I remember them days! Was all about the love! The music! Miss the old days
This video captures those special days so well.. brings tears to my eyes.
This gave me chills, brought back so many amazing memories.
I am 50 and this video has it all down to a t... takes me right back to the best times/people EVER!!!!! I feking miss the convoys 😊
This is such an anthem. Still sounds amazing after all these years!!!
When you listen this song now you are a LEGEND !🥺❤️
Absolutely epic video completely captures the early to mid 90s pub club life perfectly, what a time it was to be alive
This video is an absolute masterpiece and well done to all the cast in front and behind the camera... Banger all round ❤❤❤❤❤
A stellar piece of music. The video absolutely captures the dance scene of the time. There is a real sense energy, excitement and anticipation in the actors. Superb.
I was 17 in 1992 and this is how a weekend went down... miss those days that much it makes my heart hurt..
The best 5 minute documentary you will ever see!
Spot on! 55 years old now but when I play this I am right back, unreal video!!!! Love love love this so much!!!
This is a classic, and when a party, was a party. ❤️🇮🇪
I shown my dad this video not so long ago as he raved throughout the pill scene in the early 90’s and brought a tear to his eye as it reminded him of the good old days so wish I grew up in this era!
Favourite song of all time this! Absolute banger!
same
Heard this at the gym, man the Dirt 3 childhood memories kicked in so good, that song was hit different when in the Menu
Gotta love the vocals on this. Can't wait to be out raving again
Aaah watching this always brings a tear to my eye, being a teenager in the rave years in England, such an amazing time to be alive!
Rob Hughes I wish I was being a teenager now is shit plus there’s all the pricks out with knives 😢
Just how did they nail the 90’s theme with such fine precision..
made everyone keep phones in their pockets while at the rave scene and they brought their own wardrobe of clothes if what you turned up in wasnt 90’s enough. was an epic night!
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Buddy! memories
This song makes you feel like a winner
Been watching this video for years. Good, bad, happy, sad, depressed, etc! Love it
SUCH A TUNE!!!!! Bring us back to the 90's, watchin that video gives me goosebumps I swear they were awesome times. Plus I love the words to this tune :)
Alana Faith Lucas And people knew how to dance proper... 💃
xXohCarolina Xx That's so true!! What's going on with majority of the moves these days??! lol I say the 90's was the time to be alive, but I suppose everyone has their own opinion on that 😃 you just reminded me of this and I'm listening to I again, thanks dude 😊👍
Alana Faith Lucas Exactly!! Just loose yourself to the music...can't do that with most of the shit nowadays 😆
As long as the video exists...I'll never grow old...thank you!
This song literally changed my life, probably saved it tbh.. ❤
This is my favourite music video. It is just how I remember it.
this video is so painstakingly accurate it's not even funny this was a night out for me in the early 90's
It's accurate enough but a bit clichéd, the exact reason I absolutely despised Human Traffic, it was just a checklist of dance music clichés.
Ten years later - still an absolute peak banger!
who ever shot this video caught the essence of the 90's in one music video bang on like watching me and my mates all over again
"Driving? Fuckin flying man"
Strongest Manc accent ever
agreed lol x
Not really
When the guy says get ya fucking coat on we're going that's more of a bold accent
Young Americans
State, Quadrant park, Bowlers, leeds factory. South got onto the breakbeat / jungle tip. Up north it was more hardcore techno, 4 to the floor, stomping beat. Dry ice, lasers
& strobes
Old skool video when life was great
Bangin Tune 🎶🎶🎶
This is a truly incredible track, fantastic beat. A absolute classic.
I’m 46 and this brings back all the memories. Best time of my life and there won’t be anything else that will top it
Same!
This tune still makes all my hairs stand on end. Absolute banger.
One of the finest music videos ever made. How did they recreate the early 90s rave scene so accurately ? Amazing!
Some tunes are timeless and this is one of them.
Fuckin quality takes me back to the old days turning up at a service station then getting the address. Class.
good times 👐
those where the days mate 😓
Anthony Holt how did the the whole service station come abou ?
YES they were..... make some new ones. youre not done yet ;) :))
Anthony Holt : Too right mate, Liverpool to Essex on a damp Friday 90's night on a tip-off from somebody we'd never met.
Ended up seeing The Prodigy fuckin live! Got home 8 o'clock Monday morning....
Anyone here listening and just want to get the lads together and recreate the 90s raving scene double drop and just let the music take over
Yeah daily 🤙
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
This was the era I grew up in and it was just the same in my town! There was not many mobile phones about when I was first going to the local boozer which is where everyone met up. Most days I would be in there playing pool and having a pint.. it's just what you did then. Sad now how many of the local pubs have been priced out with rising costs of tax and business tax. In the late 90's a pint of larger was about £1.40 to £1.80 now it's over £4.00! Crazy.
This is one of the greatest music videos in existence. Everytime I watch this, I cannot help but smile for its entire length. Those were our days ;)
...and nights
God I miss this, not the track, that's mint, this video is like a Van Gogh, a Picasso, no, it's more than that, an actual time machine. We have inevitable bias to music from our teens/adolesence, but this raises the game, it's timeless in my eyes and ears. Thank you Chase & Status & director.
