To those who have gone through, are going through, recovered from, will recover and anyone else unfortunate enough to deal with this totally unacceptable, pathetic and cowardly behaviour….. my heart, love and hope goes out… your strength and courage will prevail… you’ve got this ❤
ALL of Chase & Status’ videos are on par with their banging tunes... Such a tune... Delilah’s voice goes so well with it... Perfect marriage of her singing the lyrics & the music....
Such a powerful message in this track. If anyone is going through what is depicted i hope you find the strength and support to escape. No one deserves to go through and anyone who put someones through does not deserve to be alive....
Nor me I used to get on the marching powder and go on a downer listening to this. Nice to listen to straight ficking drugs, almost the end of me almost.
Wow, this video really hits home, this is pretty much my exact childhood put into a video. I have a ton of respect for any song that can instill that much emotion into someone
Idk this songs keeps giving me such a special feeling, it's like it's giving me sad memories but i'm also happy i've went through such rough times Either way such a fking banger ❤ All love to all the people struggling, keep your head up 🙏
Huge respect to chase and status , not many artists think of the impact in society topics have let alone what their music can do to raise awareness. It takes guts to lay out your opinions on such a relevant topic. Hats off to you, support refuge and eliminate domestic abuse!
Top tune 11 years later and it is still a large tune and still sounds very fresh and it kicks arse on a good subwoofer! As old school d&b is the best 😎🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Growing up in domestic violence for 16 years takes its toll, this video highlights just 1% of how bad it can get, also a place to call. Most victims don’t even have this, we escaped after nearly being run over off a cliff edge, went home and stood up to him myself as a scared 16 year old, 10 years free next year. Still trying to recover, you’ll never recover, you’ll only become further away from it. My heart goes out to those still suffering and I hope you find the same escape we did.
It never leaves your mind. You'll never forget, but every day will be more manageable away from it. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy to be in such a terrible situation. 💔
It's up to all of us to be better than he was. Say goodbye, grieve the lost time, the wasted opportunity, and the experience that was thrashed without our consent, and forgive what we can as we move forward with what's still within our power, our beautiful opportunities in this one life we get. We can create new lives for ourselves and ours which are worlds away from that kind of reality. Exit the pain. Enter the hope.
a masterpiece on all fronts! the guy doesn't only create incredible music with hard hitting lyrics but also manages to touch upon a horrific subject that most can't admit to or don't like displaying out in the open... bring such realities to light in some an accurate way makes this guy a hero to me!
I grew up in a 100% abuse free home but this is still powerful as fuck. It literally brought me to tears knowing people go through this. On every side.
i wouldnt feel bad for them because 90% of 'domestic abuse' victims are actually just attention seeking liers. I know this because im a police man, i always ignore people calling in about being domestically abused, all these 'domestic abuse victims' are a waste of our time
Chase and status are coming to my country in November. When I saw the event on Facebook I realised that I’m still that girl I was back in the day, their music still makes my heart beat faster. Still makes me feel more alive than ever. I love you. Can’t wait to cry when I’ll hear you!
I was brought up in a very abusive household. I was diagnosed with bpd at 13 I’m now 24 my current therapist opinion is that I now suffer with complex ptsd. I really struggle to regulate my emotions in particular I struggle to get upset and think about the things that are traumatic for me. It’s like it’s gone out my memory. But this song really triggers my emotions and brings up a lot of deep saddening feelings. This song really is amazing. My mum never left my dad after he was psychically and emotionally abusive to her and to me and to my other siblings.. I really relate to this song
I wish you really the strenghth that it takes to heal. Music and good friends can help. Also escaping to another environment can help. Africa, Asia,.. Wherever ppl live in a different way than you right now, that can help to unstress and heal. Ihope you find peace and can make your life beautiful
This was me and my best friend song. We used to listen to this and just dance but now that she died it just makes me sad. RIP Danielle I will miss you always💔💔💖
Grew up listening to this and I've been inspired ever since to try and be as original. Absolutely creative music that needs to be continuously heard !!!!
I had an alcoholic mother that ironically made my life so much better. There is a saying "People didn't learn to build high walls from their friends, but from their enemies." My mother taught me how to do everything right by her doing everything wrong as a parent. I learned compassion through her malice. The funny thing is she probably doesn't even realize how wrong she was. I can't imagine how people become alcoholics after living with a parent like my mother.
I don't understand why people hate the music video or are offended by it? This is something that happens to real people. We don't even know how many people go through this and just don't report it. Most of the time both men AND women are too embarrassed or ashamed to talk about it. And I don't think its saying that "ALL men are evil" its just saying that this man is this video is. You could even say this video says that all women are "stupid" because the women stayed with him. But really its just a video and its trying to raise awareness(: ps the song is awesome:3
i had a short temper from childhood ,i NEVER hit a loved one . and there is a BIG difference in having a temper or beating the shit out of your man or woman. same as the lamest excuse on earth uuh but i was drunk . unacceptable
uh.. how did she get molested? they showed one part where the parents were being intimate and another part where the dad drinks and abuses his wife while the kid drowns it out w music. and everyone pretends like it's normal and just lives with it. my dad didn't show love to my mom as much as this guy in the video did but he definitely abused her just as much. probably more. i just know what it feels like to have an awful dad, a drunkard, abusive, horrible dad that deserves to rot in jail but he's so lucky he got married to my mom who is too nice. just like in the vid he abused the woman, but she still took him back. so yeah , it relates to me a LOT. you should probably watch the video again because i don't think you understood what's going on.
Preeti K ohokay, I thought she was being seduced by her father while she was listening to the music. I hope you're okay now, I just wish there were women who could say No to abuse, I mean there are many; but so many closets who are fearful.
+Strawberry Miu well unfortunately my dad hasn't left my life yet. Hoping on it soon tho, just today we called the police on him because he was drunk and verbally abusive to us and I've convinced my mom to get a divorce. Some scary shit, I was the one to call the police but I had to cause I'm so tired of what he's turned our life into. Abusive people should be gotten rid of as soon as the abuse happens, I hope no one lives 20 years of their life with their abuser like my Mom did. she should have gotten rid of him a long ass time ago, but hopefully since I'm older now I can give her the strength and courage and we will finally do it. I'm terrified of what the future holds for me though, fuck.
Preeti K OK, are you alone now? You should get some support; if you are old enough to move, please do with your Mother. Seek refuge through contacting the police and telling them your situation. You may get a lawyer and sue your Father, if that's what you want. It can get him maybe 10 or more years in prison, and he'll be kept away from you and your Mother for the rest of his life.
we have a plan similar to that, but things like this take time. my mom has to make an appointment w a laywer, pay him too, and she can't do that until next week because she works. the police didn't do anything today because it was only emotional and verbal abuse, not physical. and apparently saying he abused us in the past and we're scared he might again doesn't help them. he's been arrested for it before, like 3 years ago. police weren't able to take any action against him tho. anyway once we get the divorce we'd prob have to move house and my mom might have to change her job. it's so much hassle to just get rid of one person. anyway thank you for the advice and even caring enough to reply back. it means a lot. i hope you never have to deal with abuse, ever.
@@Pamela_Lopezs Crazy and i know it's not real people but he still loves her he needs help with the bad times though. I know people say you wouldn't do this to someone you love, but i guarantee no-one has ever done this to someone they don't love. Still a messed up situation
What a tune 👌

The most genuine part of this is where we see that the mum still loves and wants to be with him..... This is what normally happens...
That is the saddest part, that she still wants to be with him. I was disappointed at the ending of the video.
