Horrible birds. People in St. Louis (they were introduced to STL) don't realize they can be as nasty as house sparrows. And since they're smaller, they're harder to exclude :(. I do not like these Eurasian Tree Sparrows because of what they do to our native birds in the US.
Some small birds have similar morphology.. It may not be a sparrow at all.. By the why did the bird attack? Any footage of that? Sometimes it's the parents' revenge they take out on their babies
It's clearly a Eurasian Tree Sparrow based on the facial markings. Passer sparrows are known for entering nest boxes and killing chicks in order to use the box as their own.
