Lord how I miss this crew. I listened to everything they recorded about a million times, and saw them live whenever I could (in Massachusetts). To me there's never been anyone quite like them.
I love coming back to this performance, they do such a great job throughout, even with Mike being sick. Everyone talks about how everyone Raps, but Paper Tiger and Lazerbeak put in WORK in the back there.
This is my first introduction to this group. It's unusual for there to be so many members, but I love when artists are able to collaborate like this and form a unique partnership. They seem to have a wonderful group dynamic, and I love Dessa's voice.
I don't even know how many times I've watched this entire video over the past 2 years. Sometimes just put on the headphones and rock the audio. So good.
Just found this. So rad. Realized as a fan that I've only listened, never watched. Just found the Dessa tiny concert show and now this. So frickin' amazing.
I bought the 'No Kings album' and love it. But I still listen to this video at least once a week. There is something beautiful about the little imperfections of a live performance.
I was born and raised in Minnesota. I love your music. It is the music to keep me "censored " I do love all of your solo work I appreciate all of your work. In the end of the day you are known and loved. It strikes hard for the people you have touched. I want more from you all, but I am more willing to pay in for some mercy. Thank you all for everything, I will continue that mercy and strength you give to us all. I show your music . Not because I want to, but it helped me...thank you please continue
much love to the MN scene ...would have never known...until I moved to NO, WI northwoods! and dessa...gurl..my god! blowing up much love to you all!-me chi town btw..but got love in my heart
If ever there was a group of people that could give us hope for the future of art, passion and collaboration, it's Doomtree. Your circle of inspiration is leaking, thank you!
(In order of appearance in circle) P.O.S.: Rapper/Producer Dessa Paper Tiger: Producer/DJ Lazerbeak: Producer/DJ Sims (possibly fucks with production) Mike Mictlan Cecil Otter: Rapper/Producer If you're lucky enough to live in Minneapolis (like me), you should most definitely check any of their solo shows or the large DTR Blowout that happens every year. One of the best parts about DTR is that they show up in force to support each individual artist in their crew. Crazy good.
Great session KEXP (as can be expected). I was so disappointed that we didn't have anyone available to do video when they came through KDHX. Thanks for sharing.
I just saw these guys at the MN state fair and they put on a great show. I am no hip hop expert but it was high energy and they were really enjoying themselves. Good group.
I like all of them, and their style, and their approach, and they are all handsome, and I would let all of them read me a book to go to bed, and I bet they hold doors open for people, and I bet they make great soup. I'm gonna read the comments, I bet someone wishes they wore more gold, acted more hard, and were less grounded, were less white, because that's what comments sections are about. Whatever, for any of that, they have earned a nice meal at my house if they come back through this time next year. This is what family looks like.
I watched some other live performances of theirs after watching this one first. And I must say, KEXP, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten into this awesome band. Their other sets sounded like noise to me through their recording devices. This was perfect. Great band and great station.
@ 21:00 Cecil Otter absolutely kills me. I just got a signed copy of Dessa's book for an early Christmas present. I could not be happier. I LOVE DOOMTREE!
This is really a seven-head-allstar-group :-) "like"... where is the LOVE-button?? Each of them could easily stand for him/herself, but all of them together are definitely way more than just the sum of the single pieces. Congrats and all the best wishes to Beak and his girl for Penny!
Saw Doomtree last Saturday. May i simply say it was an experience i am Very glad i did not miss. Feeling blessed... my feet hurt from wearing high heels and Jumping. Yah!
Saw Sims live in germany and bought his "Bad Time Zoo". Amazing artist and doomtree is an amazing band. Love from germany And they have a nice Maschine drummer :)
Anyone else notice Mike was struggling through the end of that last song? but yeah, there is no argument, Doomtree is the best collective of our generation.

This is fucking brilliant on so many levels.
I've listened to this so many times. Holy shit.
A collective of artists is a timeless idea. Love this! Seek similar minds and create!
I can't stop listening to this performance. My favorite group at the moment...
I bought the 'No Kings album' and love it. But I still listen to this video at least once a week. There is something beautiful about the little imperfections of a live performance.
wow..people actually thumbs down this?! i guess people have a harder time appreciating art than feeling the need to be appreciated.
To each his own. I just came across it, and I dont really dig it.

KEXP is the greatest radio station on Earth.. True story.
I like all of them, and their style, and their approach, and they are all handsome, and I would let all of them read me a book to go to bed, and I bet they hold doors open for people, and I bet they make great soup.
