MotorBeam Good job.. It's natural rivals are RTR200, new NS200, Duke200, Duke250.. Let's also not forget the Dominar which is priced closeby and the good old CBR250 while also not forgetting the Mojo :-) ohh man the list is extending forever!! lol Seriously speaking, firstly the acceleration and top speed run for the FZ25 alone.. Later on drag it against any rival you want! :-)
MotorBeam i dont expect that FZ25 to win in a drag race. but it's sure is smooth and refined. something that is highly. preferred for touring. also Yamaha brand name and the built quality is just too good for the price.
guys u got to know that once cross the 100kmph mark.. the Duke250 Wil over take the fz25 because of its much higher bhp of almost 30bhp.. not Oly dat.. the top speed will b achieved much faster than the fz25. unless stupid KTM limits it like crazy like dey did for the duke200.. but again. Yamaha claimed they made the bike for the city n occasional touring.. n so the low power figures which in turn gives the best mileage in class from the 200cc upto the 400cc segment in city and highway..!! so if everyone accepts that and especially at the price the fz25 is being offered.. it is definitely a vfm bike in the market and for very obvious reasons it being a Yamaha Period.
This review is not much helpful.I was expecting to talk with comparison with RTR200,NS200 and Duke 200. But all the information was already disclose by others Moto channels 3 days before. Can you please review in compare with others? You were shouting some channels has done 0 to 100 speed test on down slope. Have you done same test. This not exactly full review in compare with others. We want more :P.

Fz25 is a perfect beginners bike to learn riding for a beginner rider, as well as a great commuter. I will use this for a year to acquire insane riding skills and then move on to a super Duke 1290.

If u want to comparing 250 segment u can go to tvs draken 250.draken beat to fz 25 with easily it has more features then fz25,tvs draken has 38.5 bhp and top speed is 180+

none of them ! buy him a fzs v2.0 ( 150 ) and let him fully get the hang of sport riding or riding / braking / handling and all . Let him gain experience from a lower capacity good handling and a good braking bike then only let him ride a much faster bike. Its never a good idea to provide a unexperienced teenager with a powerful bike like that !
Get him a lower capacity bike first and let him practice properly and get experience before giving him such powerful bikes. Don't forget riding gear ;)
Let ABS become mandatory(which is about to happen in sometime) and then get him a suzuki gixxer if he is fond of riding hard or if you want to buy something for him right now get a hornet with CBS. Make sure to also get him good quality riding gear.
It is low. CBR250R was pushing 26 horses. Duke 250 is pushing 30. It kicks only the Duke 200 and NS 200's ass which is no big deal given that the Duke is electronically shackled at a low 133kmph. Pitch the FZ250 with an RS200 which is similarly priced and the RS would absolutely mincemeat the FZ250 and will make sure the FZ gets it's ass handed out to it. It is pushing low for the price. I own a Duke 200 and 390 and the 200 would blow the FZ250 into the middle of last week upto 133kmph.

Mr. Huna, That is exactly what I am saying. That is all the performance you can get for such a low price. No one knows why the CBR 250R was so costly. But it was nothing like the FZ. It was fast. The FZ is pretty fast too. Not as fast as it can be. It is a comfy city bike. There is no escaping the fact that Yamaha can do way better with the power figures.
To all the Fz haters out there. Please stick to your Duke / PulsucK. We Fz 150 owners will happily upgrade to 250. We know what Yamaha actually is. PEACE.

Tyrone M Haha. Ii doesn't matter how they shift.See how the rev limiter kicks in at 124km/hr? Shifting has no effect whatsoever on the top speed. maybe it increases very slowly at the top end?
I could defeat a guy on a hornet with a FZ16 because I used to be in 3rd gear while he was in 4 gear already. And Hornet is much quicker than the FZ16. Same thing happened with the Duke 25 review of Motorbeam. Where the bike could've easily reached 130Kmph , they reached only 123kmph. Although , due to approximately 21 bhp only and a 5th gear , it's ideal that an FZ25 should struggle after speeds on 110 to 115 kmph unless the rider ducks
What is the advantage of having higher torque in this bike and disadvantage of lesser Horse power and vice versa in Apache rtr200 as well as Pulsar 200ns

What are they and what role they play in acceleration, top speed etc. Why sports bikes has less torque and more power but cruisers have less power but more torque. Woooo...Great.. Awesome....Mind Blowing Looks...... What can i say more about this Bike.. It's a really Great and simple to say it's a bike i am waiting for after Yahama RX, Bajaj Pulsar 1st version and Yamaha FZ series Long back they ruled the roads in India..It's a Really Awesome Bike around 200 -300 cc that i ever seen recently. It's muscular look i.e of mainly petrol tank, it's one of few bikes in India came out with full LED headlamps.Its Exhaust note really sounds good,seat position and for normal & decent height of guy like me around 5 8'',it's a perfect to ride in cities.Only few bike came before to fulfill needs in city conditions or only concentrated for racing purpose,But now Yamaha Came out a really a great, Awesome bike for metro cities like Bangalore where Traffic is so hectic and also for occasional long drives at weekends too.. It's a perfect bike for working professionals,students who are traveling 30-60 kms updown travel in a day. As this bike gives more power,control,performance to cruise in traffic, less weight to coo-up with and mainly the "MILEAGE" and "PRICE factor of this bike wins as compared to all bikes around btw 200-300cc. As such compared to any KTM'S,BAJAJ,TVS,HONDA etc .....

brandon dsouza fz25 is a fantastic bike but duke 250 overtakes it at around 80 to 90 kph but what makes the fz so good is it's killer pricing
Wrong, fz25 delivers 28 kmpl, the lowest among similarly priced bikes.

It's muscular look i.e of mainly petrol tank, it's one of few bikes in India came out with full LED headlamps.Its Exhaust note really sounds good,seat position and for normal & decent height of guy like me around 5 8'',it's a perfect to ride in cities.Only few bike came before to fulfill needs in city conditions or only concentrated for racing purpose,But now Yamaha Came out a really a great, Awesome bike for metro cities like Bangalore where Traffic is so hectic and also for occasional long drives at weekends too.. It's a perfect bike for working professionals,students who are traveling 30-60 kms updown travel in a day. As this bike gives more power,control,performance to cruise in traffic, less weight to coo-up with and mainly the "MILEAGE" and "PRICE factor of this bike wins as compared to all bikes around btw 200-300cc. As such compared to any KTM'S,BAJAJ,TVS,HONDA etc .....
