The original FZ was the king of the sporty 150cc bikes.....and it looked and went like nothing else on the market. The updates over the years have somehow lost the original charm of the FZ16. I badly wanted the FZ25 to win this, but the truth is the Gixxer does ride and look much better.
This was a long awaited 250cc comparison review... Suzuki 250 was good but don't know something is wrong with the design.... doesn't attract that much...
Yamaha India is sleeping I guess. In overseas they get WR155, MT07, SR400, R7 and my recent favorite the BOLT R. While here we get scooters and 150ccs FZ and R15. Level Up the game YAMAHA! Hardcore FANS are waiting!

My 1st bike Fz 150 , using for last 4 years without visiting mechanic shop for a single time. Mileage 55 average . Surprisingly reliable , very less mantaince. Yes Yamaha!
I almost waited for the bike for 6 months.. It finally didn't make it to smaller cities. Never felt yamaha wanted to sell FZ series. Neither the showroom guys were interested . I finally bought a Honda cb350 which costed me 34k extra. I'm happy..
Gixxer 250 has great engine and dynamics but looses in the design department as it looks exactly like its younger brother which isn't a good thing. Yamaha on the other hand produces 6 PS less and yet just a secs slower then Gixxer is surprising. Also, not to forget FZ 250 has a character of its own and doesn't look like a scaled up FZ150 which is a great thing.
You guys FINALLY got the new FZ-25 on the channel. I get it that Yamaha didn't do much to make it competitive enough since they want the R15 platform bikes to shine instead, but it's still a worthy contender

Loud is good. We are obnoxiously loud & careless by nature. Step outside and listen.. nothing but birds. Because we are in Lockdown. Ill seriously consider an e-bike once there are quality and practical choices. I don't want this beautiful weather to end & Fuel prices are not getting cheaper anyway.
I can understand that gixxer is a more powerful fun to ride one here, but don’t you say that the gixxer has better instrument cluster. All it has extra is the gear position indicator which frankly as useless as telling a professional batsman the name of the shot they just played. It might be helping absolute beginners but it has no value to riders who have at least ridden 2000 kms on the bike. That means beginners also outgrow the gear position indicator in couple of months. And top of that it misses out on fuel consumption, avg mileage and trip F. I just don’t understand why reviewers give the gear position indicator that much importance.
Only cos of outdated instrument console, me and some of my friends prefer gizzer. Yamaha need to stop seeling old left stock and spoil the brand name. I am tried of waiting for XSR , I will go for royal Enfield Meteor, or Honda rs 350
Everything is perfect except that tiny instrument cluster. Bike will look awesome while riding if yamaha provides a hybrid instrument cluster just like Pulsar N250 2021....if anyone from yamaha is reading this comment please note this feedback (or say customer voice)😀
The Gixxer is the better bike in every department but Suzuki has pathetic aftersales service. The Yamaha engine and the whole bike as a package looks ancient in comparison but Yamaha's aftersales service beats Suzuki hands down and local mechanics have seen more FZ25 than Gixxers. Choosing any would be a compromise in some manner, I just wish Bajaj had a light motorcycle with that Duke 250 engine.
Marketing strategies for yamaha and suzuki needs to change, they should concentrate more on sales and aftersales customer satisfaction. Though they are the best bikes someone can get and keep it atleast for another 15 years, their competitors sell more vehicle which are mostly having so many problems! Wake up japanese giants!
Suzuki in general has bad service centers they wantedly rip you off.. At least in my case it is like that for my asscess125 check your service center before taking a suzuki

Suzuki 250 is still King of 250 segments. Its Handling and Power are unbeatable in this segment.

I own the fz25, the one with the old head lamp. The old lamp looks much better. Looks more aggressive as compared to new model.
Gixxer is the best and rightest choice. Naked is great in practicality thing too. A year with gixxer 250 and damn happy with it.
What about hard gear shifting and hard clutch? Because of rear foot peg City riding on heavy traffic is really bad?
