So I agree 1000 percent with Coppola's interpretation of Micheal. I felt like he went back to who he originally was in part 2 & I felt like in part 2 in the end you saw he was regretting his choices. Maybe had he not killed Fredo I could have bought him not being that way but he's still his father's child and knew his Father never would have done what he did. Heck Sonny wouldn't have done it either

I just watched all 3 of the Godfather films for the first time and I can see why some people hate this film. I personally didn't hate the movie but I feel like this story was missing the heart of the first 2, I feel like Michaels' character isn't like him, Mary's acting was really bad, and the incest plotline felt out of place.
Very very underrated film, does not get enough recognition because of the impacts on cinema of the first and second Godfather films.
