Then a third time… then a fourth… then a fifth, until blue spheres themselves had no meaning. The time it took to beat each level began to blend together, as did the levels themselves so long ago. Perhaps, this was how it was meant to be.

I love the idea that it’s impossible to play all of these stages in a lifetime. This is a challenge that needs to be passed down from generation to generation.

After level 128,016,000 the stages in the game repeat (level 128,016,001 is identical to level 1, level 128,016,002 is identical to level 2, and so on). So technically, level 128,016,000 is the final level of the game. You should play that!

Yes, after the level, it is an endless loop until you complete level 134,217,728. After you complete level 134,217,728, the game starts from level 1 again.
Edit: Sorry, I was wrong. After level 134,217,728, the number of the level on the screen will say 1, but it's actually level 6,201,729. That's because after level 128,016,000 the game repeats, meaning that ,like level 128,016,001 is identical to level 1, and level 128,016,002 is identical to level 2, level 134,217,728 is identical to a level before 128,016,000. That level is 6,201,728, one level before 6,201,729.
So, when you're beating level 134,217,728, which is actually level 6,201,728, the game continues to the next level, which is 6,201,729. But because level 134,217,728 is the "Final Level", the game says that it's level 1, but it's not.
So yes, it is an endless loop

POV: You finish the final level of blue sphere, after playing all the Sega Genesis games there is, and after you play the blue sphere level from the Show de Miaho Volume 2 cart, you unlock Super Hyper Mega Crystal Astonishing Celestialsapien Sonic in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, and he can finish the all the video games in the world in less than 1 second.
I played this when I was VERY young; I was convinced Knuckles was winking at me in the "No Way!" screen, and thought, "if I beat all these stages, it will unlock Sonic 1, and I can play it with Knuckles!" -- I'm glad I gave up easily... 134.2 MILLION+?! FUCK. THAT.
It's crazy that when we're younger we'd believe that but now it dosent make sense that you have to a bunch of work to unlock 1 thing

So lets say average time on each level is 2 min 12 seconds like this one, give or take. If there are 134,217,728 levels, that'd be about 295279001.6 minutes, which is 4921316.69 hours. Which is 205054.86 days.
Meaning it would take someone 562 years to play through every single one of those levels nonstop
thankfully it skips a lot of levels if you perfect the stage, but it's literally impossible for a single human in a single lifetime to complete this, fucking hell (without level skips, granted the time might decrease since you're not bothering with perfects, but not enough to make it possible within a lifetime)

This made me remember what I was dreaming about last night of my mind playing the sonic sphere level. My mind was just playing knuckles and bouncing on the white bumpers back and forth just chilling till the speed rises.
imagine a special stage with 1 blue sphere, 25 yellow spheres, 25
star spheres, 50 red spheres
its possible but it wouldn't be easy at all
So just a frantic maze then... I did it
But if it was a green sphere the new blue spheres you would have to have a pink sphere to teleport to the green sphere
Someone should write a script that can analyze the map to play through each map successfully, then just leave a stream of it playing from level 1 to the very end.

Homie, it’d be impossible to do if you consider this stage the “final” stage. Let’s say the average blue spheres level takes roughly 2-2:30 minutes, times that by this level number and you get roughly 268,435,456 total minutes. Translate that into days and it’s somewhere around 186413 days. Those days in years would be somewhere around 510 years total. Obviously a script would be able to cut that time down to maybe around 1:45 minutes or so, but even then, that only cuts off a few years at the most. It’d be interesting to see somebody set up a script for it for sure, but we’d never see the day where it beats every single level.

Sonic CD should have come with an unlockable Special Stage mode where there were 134,217,728 levels of its Special Stage.
Locking On Sonic 1 to S&K should have just given us 134,217,728 levels of Sonic 1's Special Stage for Knuckles to play through.

This made me remember how some levels just happen to have such an appalling design, whether because of the difficulty of it, although I found fitting the fact that the final level had such an unorthodox map / perfect route solution. It's just not intuitive at all, which makes it more interesting to play/watch. It does feel like a level that was generated by an AI or something.

Did you know that there are actually 268,435,455 stages? 134,217,727 are inaccessible due to not fitting the generation algorithm. The 134,217,728 levels that are playable actually have different Stage numbers. For example:
This level played in the video is Level 134,217,728 and is also Stage 267,375,324. Another example is the Level with 600+ Spheres and Rings is Level 23,411,487 and is also Stage 63,409,950.

Hello there to enter the codes you simply press up or down to scroll through the numbers then when you have the right one you move right or left to input the rest of the numbers. After that you simply press start to apply the code to take you to that level. I hope this helps you!
@@PuyoSonicFAN It's not an option unless the genesis boots right, I just figured out. There is no way to change it to be able to enter codes, except to turn off the console and turn it back on until you get lucky and it changes to that mode. I scootched the cartridges also. Most of the time, it just defaults to level 1 and there's nothing I can do about it. But now I know, just keep turning it back on and off, lol.
