- Hey guys, In today's video I target one of my favorite fish, the Tautog or Blackfish as they're also called. I fished with our good friend Dwayne and we started out fishing a local inlet and picked a few fish there. Due to the hurricane at sea, the water surge was just too much so we switched to the canal and ended up catching a ton of fish. All in all it was a good trip and the bigger Tog should be showing themselves soon. I fished using a 1.5oz Tog jig made by Jersey Shore Bucktails. He's a local lure maker and his stuff really produces, please check him out and try for yourself, you won't be disappointed. His contact info is below. As always, thanks for watching and please support Kaylee and I by hitting the like button and subscribing.

Awesome videos keep them coming
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching!!!
@@MKOutdoors I grew up fishing all those locations in your videos. I now live in Burlington County so your videos remind me of home.
@bobroe6429 that's awesome man. Glad you like them, we appreciate the support!
Hallo, sehr gut gemacht, super, danke für gegenseitige Unterstützung,👍 wir wünschen dir eine schöne Woche, liebe Grüße Anne & Siggi 👍 welcome in my home🔔
In the canal the bergall take all your bait. So many of them. I've gone through an entire container of sand fleas and sometimes can't hook anything until you go to tiny little hooks and it ends up being bergal 50% of the time.
Nice video. What road did you access to that canal? I have seen many people fish here, but never fished here before.
The blue rod you are using what kind of rod is that
Temple Fork Outfitters(TFO) Tactical Inshore 7' medium/heavy
Beautiful tog!!! Is 1.5 oz normally a good weight for fishing the canal?
If fishing close to the wall, 1.5 is a good weight. On a slack tide, I've gone as light as a 3/4oz jig. Thanks for watching!!
@@MKOutdoors thanks so much and tight lines!
@@DDfishes17 very welcome
Hello Mike I was thinking about the inlet yesterday and the next day is a video. How does that happen...
You're doing everything right but the size just didn't show up. And who makes a blue rod? Take care.
Hey John! Yeah man. It's still a little early, bigger fish should be moving in soon once October hits. The blue rod is a Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) Tactical Inshore rod. I LOVE it for Tog bro. Handles amazing. Always appreciate you watching my friend.
@@MKOutdoors Thanks Mike! I won't be able to go out on a boat over a 60 ft deep boulder hideout so I have to wait for them to come close.
I absolutely do not need another rod.
I will definitely buy at least 2 rods shortly. 😄
@johnc6228 haha, I'm the same, but I just bought another rod, lol
