The super stabilization permits to do some VERY cinematic videos, it looks to a certain extent like my latest GoPro which has unparalleled stabilization. You actually want to move to "trigger" this smoothness.
The Galaxy S10+ takes better quality photos consistently in most scenarios excluding dark ones. But the Galaxy S10+ is able to take comparable night shots using pro mode. When Samsung updates the Galaxy S10 series with super bright night feature, the Huawei p30 pro will have no chance competing except with the optical zoom which few will take advantage of. Samsung seems to be willing to perfect the basics instead of focusing on gimmicks.👍

I'd argue that the P30 Pro actually beats the audio AND color science. The S10 picks up loads of surrounding sounds, city noises. Cars in the distance etc. The P30 Pro seems to have a more local sound. I'd prefer that.
I feel like this might be a short sighted observation. On the one hand if I were doing a video call the p30 pro might have a big advantage. But if you were recording something like an acoustic set at a coffee shop the sound staging on the s10 feels much wider (probably p30 mono vs s10 stereo)

For me the colours and detail of the portrait pics are far nicer on the P30 Pro, it also has a much better long range zoom especially with its 50x Zoom which this reviewer neglected to mention and in low light but in other respects, including stabilisation of video while in movement, the S10 has it.
I own the P30 pro. My friend has the S10+. We went in a very very dark room, both took pictures using no flash. His didn't show anything, black. Mine looked like a daytime taken photo.
Bruh huawei p30 has an amazing radiant colors and sharpness too, plus much better zoom, and a good night mode is what makes it even more impressive, you can literally shoot a Milky Way with it. Think twice

agree, even if i take picture at night, i prefer the light and brightness as it is, because it's the small light that made the night scene beautiful...if it is too bright, it will ruin the picture...see that street sign picture...the p30 pro made the sky look like it is just sunset... i will get confused whether it is evening or night...

I can confirm. P30 in portrait mode no longer blurs out too much of the background. Also whilst the video gave good comparison, both phones offer a number of settings which allow the Samsung phone to capture more realistic (dull) colours than vivid colours. And the seemingly duller (realistic) colours of the P30 to get more vivid colours. In short quite even: P30 for zoom and night mode. Samsung for wide view and video stabilization

I do love both Samsung and Huawei so hope they keep on providing amaten phones!

I went with the P30 Pro cause of the battery and supercharge. And also a bit cheaper in Finland. Also the UI feels a bit more fluid than S10+. And that double holepunch wasnt for me and downgrade to s10 would be a disaster for me with the batterylife.
For me the p30 pro is much better, the phone itself is so user-friendly, easy to navigate. I take pictures with it and it's amazing. Someone in my office had an s10 and she hated it. She struggles to get used to it, but to this video the camera is not bad. But I will never choose a samsung again, had 2 bad experience with them.
Great comparison. They just released the Pixel 4 today. P30 pro seems to take the cake in artificial light situations because of the yellow color sensor (as seen in the night shot, indoor shot, and night selfie)--doesn't seem to be the case around the naturally lit sunset though. As a result it loses some of the green saturation that other RGB sensors pick up, though I personally prefer its warmer tones. The Pixel 4 seems to have taken a software oriented approach, in which they stack multiple exposures for their night shot and brighten from there (like the P30 pro) as well as incorporated a hybrid zoom to go beyond the optical zoom. I think Huawei is covered with Leica for hardware, but definitely could step up its software for things like auto focus and edge detection (although it does have excellent night mode). We should also keep in mind that auto camera settings are optimized differently on different devices, so the best possible comparison would be having a professional photographer attempt to recreate the same photo with both devices.
Agreed, I think if you ask any professional photographer they will tell you they choose the Huawei based off the Leica camera alone. Hardware issues are addressed on the next model, software issues are fixed through patches.
Super Saf, bro. I had the S10 it had an issue that if you hit play on a voice message before you can get the phone to your ear it blast the message so everyone can hear it and so loud. I assumed it's an issue with the proximity sensor and software? So I traded up to the P30 Pro. I enjoy the much longer battery life and I'm a shooter not a vlog or video guy so 4k at 30 is great for me I don't need more. I often feel so many people get stuck on just the specifics of a phone and not how they're actually going to use the device. So glad to see that you explain that in your reviews. Thanks for the review. I think you could have mentioned the massive control you have over the P30 pro's camera settings though. I know that you generally used standard auto settings but, the real benefit of the P30 is in the level of control whilst in camera mode, which you don't benefit from so much in the S10.
I have the P30 Pro, three days now. Camera... WOW, and I also own the Note 9 comparatively. Zoom and low light are crazy good. Colors are more accurate too. Battery life is super!

I went with the P30 Pro cause of the battery and supercharge. And also a bit cheaper in Finland.
Also the UI feels a bit more fluid than S10+.
And that double holepunch wasnt for me and downgrade to s10 would be a disaster for me with the batterylife.
For me the p30 pro is much better, the phone itself is so user-friendly, easy to navigate. I take pictures with it and it's amazing. Someone in my office had an s10 and she hated it. She struggles to get used to it, but to this video the camera is not bad. But I will never choose a samsung again, had 2 bad experience with them.

P30 pro seems to take the cake in artificial light situations because of the yellow color sensor (as seen in the night shot, indoor shot, and night selfie)--doesn't seem to be the case around the naturally lit sunset though. As a result it loses some of the green saturation that other RGB sensors pick up, though I personally prefer its warmer tones. The Pixel 4 seems to have taken a software oriented approach, in which they stack multiple exposures for their night shot and brighten from there (like the P30 pro) as well as incorporated a hybrid zoom to go beyond the optical zoom. I think Huawei is covered with Leica for hardware, but definitely could step up its software for things like auto focus and edge detection (although it does have excellent night mode). We should also keep in mind that auto camera settings are optimized differently on different devices, so the best possible comparison would be having a professional photographer attempt to recreate the same photo with both devices.
Agreed, I think if you ask any professional photographer they will tell you they choose the Huawei based off the Leica camera alone. Hardware issues are addressed on the next model, software issues are fixed through patches.
Super Saf, bro. I had the S10 it had an issue that if you hit play on a voice message before you can get the phone to your ear it blast the message so everyone can hear it and so loud. I assumed it's an issue with the proximity sensor and software? So I traded up to the P30 Pro. I enjoy the much longer battery life and I'm a shooter not a vlog or video guy so 4k at 30 is great for me I don't need more. I often feel so many people get stuck on just the specifics of a phone and not how they're actually going to use the device. So glad to see that you explain that in your reviews. I think everyone should consider their usage over specs and buy what they need over what's best on paper, thanks bro! Waited for a long for Supersaf camera comparison.
I definitely prefer the s10+ but I'm jealous of the hybrid zoom on the p30 pro, I currently have the Note 9 but I'll be upgrading to the Note 10, two things I'm wishing for is that it has a dedicated snapchat in the camera mode and the hybrid zoom

Thats why I bought the P30 Pro today, I want the zoom reality is many times we take pictures with our cell phones but the object is just too small in the pic so for me I need the zoom

Thanks for the review. I think you could have mentioned the massive control you have over the P30 pro's camera settings though. I know that you generally used standard auto settings but, the real benefit of the P30 is in the level of control whilst in camera mode, which you don't benefit from so much in the S10.

I have the P30 Pro, three days now. Camera... WOW, and I also own the Note 9 comparatively. Zoom and low light are crazy good. Colors are more accurate too. Battery life is super!
