I really enjoy finding someone on TH-cam that has a super small channel and BAM, the content is on par with all the pro vids. Nailed it dude, good job!
Chaosphere is seriously underrated now adays! Everyone is like creaming their pants over obzen and immutable and all but damn man these guys were my first metal band I’ve heard everything they have to offer, even some of the members solo stuff. Meshuggah is fucking amazing all throughout and has left a permanent mark in metal for sure. Awesome cover my man! Keep going!!!
Thanks so much, man! I still come back to records like Destroy Erase Improve and Chaosphere. As you said, to some extent, they have changed metal forever. I also feel like these albums were Meshuggah’s main breakthrough and they’re as admirable as the new stuff, if not more. Cheers, dude 🤘
@@FryderykSzolc I recommend learning the title track, it’s hard to get but if you focus on the snare and drums for the whole song while listening you’ll actually find the groove is actually in standard time. Just the rhythmic pattern is in odd numbers. Making it one of the best songs I think they ever wrote. Next time you listen to the song try it. And really try to lock in the snare on the groove. And just nod your head to the snare. Once you find it and you hear how it’s supposed to feel it’ll blow your mind
I've played guitar to this so much, thank you. The grooves at the end are so perfect for actually finishing the song instead of the fadeout. Bravo. Love the energy and the heaviness of the kick vs the original recording too.
Ahhhhh, my dude! 😀 Absolutely loved this video! Seen a couple of your Meshuggah covers now and you are blooming excellent! 🥁🪘 Additionally...as a fellow lover of "headbanging-with-my-hair-down-while-playing-an-instrument"...I totally appreciated the bit where you unleashed the mane for the breakdown riff!! 🤘😈 I truly hope you are writing some original material or you're in a killer band...because a million bands would kill for a drummer of your ability! Keep up the good work, my metal brethren! 🤘😁

Great job, dude. Chaosphere was the first Meshuggah album I bought. I was still in high school and I remember I had come across the New Millennium Cyanide Christ music video on an old P2P file sharing client similar to Napster from the dial-up internet days. That song blew me away and made me an instant fan. I ended up transcribing and learning most of their songs on drums over the years, and it’s probably what helped me level up my abilities the most out all the time spent studying and practicing. Meshuggah really taught me the most obscure and stylistic ways of dissecting polyrhythms and how to use them in creative ways. Tomas Haake is a huge inspiration.
Awesome 👏! That looks like either the TD11 or TD15 module. Roland is such an awesome brand. I have the TD11 KV set. It doesn’t have as many sounds as the TD15 or customization options but its still got great sounding drums on it. Pedals look like Tama Speed Cobra 310’s. I see you have a protector on the KD9 Kick pad which is very smart seeing you are using the felt side of the beater. I really want to get the Tama 910 LWN Speed Cobra Double pedal but I can’t afford them at the moment. I’m using the Mapex 800 Black Armory Double kicks which are decent but not as good as the Tama kicks. Anyways, awesome set up you got and great playing!
Thank you! I have my gear list in the description if you’re interested. It’s indeed a TD-11 module and the Speed Cobra 310 pedals. In terms of the drum sounds, I’m using EZDrummer 2 for the samples for better quality and more sound possibilities. Thanks again for checking out the cover! 👍
@@FryderykSzolc i’m an idiot 🤦♂️. I can’t believe I didn’t think to look in the description. I use EZ Drummer 2 as well with some of the metal expansions but I also have made some really good sounding drum kits through the modules sounds. I’m curious about your drum pedal spring tension. Do you have yours set loose, mid-range, or tight? Also, do you spend time creating any original material?
@@bultronlagore4932 Because of the faster stuff I play, I set the springs pretty tight, but not all the way. I just tried to find like a sweet spot, what setting works best for me. In terms of some solo material, I do have some demos with several original ideas. I haven’t really put them together cuz there is not much of stuff yet, but I hope some time in the future they’ll see daylight. Thanks for commenting!
@@FryderykSzolc same here with the tension. The tension is definitely better for me as well tighter especially for faster stuff. That’s awesome you are doing original stuff. Hope you post it when you are finished with it.
@@FryderykSzolc i had one i my first band, played some "crossover rap metal" and it was a running gag to play it, big laughter in the tiny audiences. 1996-99, still got one but i actually only use it for sludgier classic rock stuff.
Samo rozpracowanie nie zajęło bardzo długo, w tym akurat kawałku jest niewiele aż tak złożonych i skomplikowanych patentów. Awesome work !! What is your method of work for all meshuggah covers ? I will be interested to know :) Just by listening each part separately ? Thankssss
I'm glad you enjoyed it! The first step of my learning process is listening to the song a lot to figure out the structure, riffs and beats, slowing it down if necessary, then actually figuring out everything on the kit, and finally practicing until I'm able to play through the whole track.
Thanks! And in terms of the tom pad, since I can’t plug more pads into the drum module, I set a stack cymbal sound on the rim of that pad on purpose, in order to play the original parts correctly. The drumhead still has a tom sound assigned to it. 👍
