The untold story of Kenny's survival. Out of all the characters we see in Telltale's The Walking Dead game series, the surviving character that still has the most potential is Kenny. At the end of Telltale's The Walking Dead game season 2 as Clementine you have to make the choice to either take out Kenny to save Jane or look away to save Kenny but lose Jane. I remember my reaction to it on my first playthrough and I've always picked Kenny every time. But even if you save Kenny in season 2 you will lose him again in The Walking Dead season 3 A New Frontier Something! But something that I think is so obscure is that if you spare Kenny and go to Wellington and let Kenny leave Clementine and AJ, he will go off and survive!
In this video I talk about how Kenny can survive in Telltale's The Walking Dead, what happened to him shortly after leaving Clementine and how we could see him again in another The Walking Dead game! Even with Telltale denying the rumours of a new game called A Fatal Frontier or The Walking Dead season 5, I still think it's likely that we will one day see another game from them and if they go the returning character route, I think Kenny is perfect for it. We could see him go up against, the Saviors with Negan and then eventually the Whisperers and the Commonwealth as he makes his way back to seeing Clementine and AJ again. While the Telltale games are set in The Walking Dead comic universe and not in the tv universe where Daryl Dixon season 2 Book of Carol is currently happening, Kenny could be set to run into the comic versions of the groups we saw in the show.

His death in season 3 was never Canon to me, Kenny’s canon ending was leaving clem and AJ at Wellington. But I’ll take him back in ANY WAY 😂🔥
Nah Wellington ending doesn't fit the timeline of ANF. It would have but they took out the Wellington raid replaced it with Prescott which makes Kenny death canon in season 3 made sense for Clem and AJ meeting Ava the same day in the shack.

Kenny died in car crash for me well he went through the window and was paralysed..felt like is was a poor ending for Kenny as it was just a flashback scene he deserved so much better..

Idk why people choose to shoot Kenny. Jane was never anything more than manipulative and selfish and she had no problem showing that

While I always let Jane die, I think there is a way for the ending of shooting Kenny and letting Jane live makes sense.
Shooting kenny ends his suffering from losing people after another, he lost his family Kat and Duck, then he went crazy. In season 2 he was more calm because he had sarita, but when she died he lost it again and he was crazy Kenny, he kept losing everyone that he loved and it made him unhinged. Shooting him ends that pain, keeping Jane alive then leaving her behind for her actions seems very canon, so she feels guilty for what she did with Clementine and has to live with it, however I feel like she ended her life when she found out she was pregnant anyway.
Kenny still was a good person at heart and wanted the best for Clementine and AJ, that’s why I always let him survive.
Jane is literally Molly but just worse in every aspect possible
The reason I shot kenny was because he was also out of control. Ever since his family died he just lost himself. Jane wasn’t the first person who had to deal with Kenny arguing with her. There were many characters that had to deal with Kenny’s frustration and anger. Also shooting him made him end his suffering.
Some people get manipulated too easily or don’t know the gravity of LEAVING A BABY IN THE CAR DURING THE COLD, DEAD FUCKING WINTER

Leaving Kenny at Wellington is the best way to end his character arc. He leaves knowing he protected Clementine and AJ and brought them somewhere safe. (Even though Wellington falls later)

Never understood siding with Jane. She was willing to toy with a grieving man to prove a point,, not someone I would personally want to team up with during the apocalypse. Kenny may be hardheaded, but he has a plethora of handy skills and genuinely will put others first. I also consider the Wellington ending the canon one, it's the best outcome for him. I would love to see how his story ends, he's lost just as much as Clementine and has his own sins to atone for, a Kenny game would be amazing
I have never and will never choose to kill Kenny over Jane. I'll never understand how someone could think Kenny's acting crazy irrational sure but not crazy.
Kenny’s the most normal one in the Cabin group other than Luke:
Sarah: soft and lost her mind
Jane: Manipulative and psycho with disturbed intentions
Mike: Stupid pushover and traitor
Bonnie: Constant traitor, ingenuine and brainwashed by Carver
Nick: Though a good person at heart, he’s very impulsive which is what got Matt killed at the bridge
Carlos: Thinking he’s protecting his daughter by “shielding” her from the world, instead of teaching her skills necessary to survive (he’s not insane, but just naive and a fool for not thinking that Sarah would die if she wasn’t exposed to the madness of the world)

@@koisw1234 I think there’s some flaws with Rebecca’s character. Like how she hates Clem’s guts at the beginning, but then decides to apologize out of nowhere like she hadn’t just threatened her just a day ago. Like I get she’s pregnant, but I think it’s still a bit much.

Jane literally abandoned a baby in a zombie apocalypse, in a car, in the cold… Just to prove a point that Kenny was irrational?! Even though Kenny attacking Jane for that is totally reasonable… She riled him up for absolutely no reason
The thing is we did not know that at that time plus seems like writers just wanted to make her and Kenny fight for no reason they didn't have beef before

A lot of people get on Kenny for being racist toward Arvo, but I honestly think that Arvo reminded Kenny of Ben a little bit, and that was why he was so hard on him.

I'll elaborate why Kenny's right. I approach it from an Art Imitates life perspective. I'm gonna totally set the record straight once and for all.
Jane literally pretended to KILL AN INNOCENT BABY or put him in harm's way by locking him in a COLD CAR just to "prove a point" and rile up Kenny who's already undergone the loss of a child and other trauma. That's callled gaslighting. She also made fun of Kenny's injury then hit him in the injured eye, she also hit below the belt by mentioning his dead wife, dead child and dead girlfriend and even then, he STILL asked her if she was ok when they crashed.
He was also concerned for her but then was devastated and asked her "how could she kill a child" when he thought the baby was dead. That's why he got mad. It's about the possible endangerment of a baby. He used to be a dad. It's not unprovoked. She also drew her weapon first. So really when you think about it, Jane set Kenny up by lying and gaslighting so she could set him up to be killed for no reason when he was really just concerned for a baby. The way I see it, you're either apart of the solution or apart of the problem. Even if Kenny was crazy, why purposely antagonize him?
Ask yourself this...would Jane have taken those same liberties if she met Lilly, Rebecca, Sarita, Carley, Molly or any other female character throughout the series ? Nope. Because they'd whoop her ssa
She only did all that cause she knows Kenny is a man who under normal circumstances wouldn't fight back. Happens in society everyday really.
So why in GOD'S NAME would you kill Kenny when he, in the ending actually gets Clem & AJ to safety if you pick him, not even worrying about himself ? He literally says to just take the kids and that he DESPERATELY needs them to be safe. His heart's in the right place even if he is a hothead.
He's been there since season 1, has paternal instinct since he used to be a dad, has already lost everyone and is all about the safety of the children at the end of the day. He literally determinantly said to Lee "taking care of the kids like a real man would do." Jane however, is out herself. Jane also encouraged Clem, a MINOR to drink. Kenny didn't condone it.
All Jane does is abandon you. she'll find out she's pregnant and off herself.
she also could've stopped the violence at any time by admitting she's lying but instead, She WANTED to fight & REPEATEDLY incited a MUCH STRONGER man with violence, drew her weapon first and brought it on herself.
So Team Kenny all the way !
Also if the roles were reversed, and Kenny was being antagonistic by making fun of Jane's dead sister, pretending to kill AJ to prove a point then drawing his weapon first, there'd be no hesitation to kill him and RIGHTFULLY SO. So why the hesitation to let Jane die? Why are there TWO options to Shoot Kenny and NONE for Jane when she's apart of the problem ?
Oh yeah...because men aren't allowed to be victims and are supposed to just put up with abuse and disrespect. That's why.
Jane fans' mindset is why I genuinely fear for whatever sons I make. Therefore Shooting Kenny is the incorrect choice. I'll stand by this til the end of time.
Let’s be real here the actual cannon is clem going to wellington and kenny walking off also Negan has a scar across his ribs and I like to personal head cannon that it was kenny who gave him that scar because season 2 of the game took place way before Rick meet Negan in the comic universe

2:38 Relieved that they did away with this concept for his death. It's way too heartbreaking, not to mention hypocritical of him to do after what he said in S1. My head canon is after leaving Clem at Wellington, he just travels down to Florida where he hopefully meets new friends to survive with.

Kenny became manic, but Jane also drove him there. He didn't want anyone to die. Jane got people killed including herself. Looking away will always be the right option. Especially after what she does in season 3 and Kenny found his way back unlike Jane

I didn’t know so many people picked to kill Kenny he was one of my favorite characters in the series so when given the choice to kill him I didn’t even consider killing him as an option.
He won't be returning. Because the game series is over and the story is now on those books. Which in those books, they have to make it so that no matter what choices you make in the game, it all ends up the same by the time the book takes place, and since Kenny may or may not die, they can't include him in the books. The only way he could return is if there's a season 5 of the game, but I really don't see that happening. You mentioned a game entirely about Kenny, the only way I could see that happening is if it's between the time of his departure in season 1 when he tried to save Ben and when he reunited with Clementine in season 2

Tbh, even if the kenny game just took place between season 1 and 2, so we get to see his survival and the path he took to get to where we see him in season 2, I'd be happy. Kenny if honestly one of my favorite characters. It'd be great to see him come back in some way.

I feel like a main problem with s2 is that it exaggerates Kenny’s bad quality’s. Kenny could be a dick i you didn’t side with 100% in s1 but even after he missed kat and duck he was surprisingly levelheaded and had a full out plan for a boat. But In s2 even before sarita died Kenny just never thinks things over, does a lot of reckless stuff, and also apparently a bad shot as he somehow didn’t kill carver in episode 2

Over the course of the series and the years that I've been playing it, Kenny, just like Lee, is a character that I love. I don't personally think it's very realistic to think Telltale will bring him back, but I'd really love to see it if it *were* to happen.

I always have this standard when playing telltale games like twd: If there's a possibility that a character can die, they were never meant to survive in the first place. That said, Kenny would be absolutely thrilled to hear that Lilly's finally dead.

I don't usually comment in these types of videos but I finished all games and just finished Season 4 a few days later and omg I'm happy Clementine is alive 😭😭😭😭. I believe the kids had a happy ending and Clementine is the leader and made a big community and the others are all grown up, that's my headcanon......

legit the only way that Kenny survives is if you abandon him after killing jane or leaving him at wellington, it was utter shite but Kenny is dead if you stay with him.
I've only played the series once so far. And I was so happy to find out that in my story, it was the only outcome for Kenny to probably still be out there fighting to stay alive. The only thing I was kinda disappointed was that we never got to give AJ Kenny's hat after taking it with you when leaving Wellington
After the character assassination of Clem, I don't trust Skybound doing a game with Kenny as the main character
Those comics by Tillie are fanfic. No one takes her or those poorly drawn comics seriously. Skybound intends to continue TWD games (worked with DeckNine on a sequel) but their investment in Telltale suggests they'll have them make it after TWAU2 is done & I guarantee Tillie won't be involved because DeckNine didn't even want that subhuman.

A game is how we would get the comics de-canonized. The person who wrote the comics didn’t even play the game they won’t keep that.

I never understood the Kenny hate, I mean yes he yelled at Clem but he JUST lost his second wife and everyone is making Clem go up to Kenny because she knows him best.
But also at the end of EVERYTHING Kenny apologizes, he admits he might be too far gone, he begs the people of Wellington to take in Clem and AJ.
I feel every good he did outweighs the bad, he was Lee's best friend (if you treat him right) and Clem's guardian when they remet up.
Jane especially I never trusted, she just seemed too much of a lone wolf to really trust she'll stick around, not to mention she was using Clem to fill her sister's place, Kenny wasn't doing that (yes he called her Duck once but it was a slip of the tongue, he doesn't see her as a daughter, more like a niece).
My lee was like a brother to Kenny and wanted him to take care of Clem and he did just that by bringing AJ and her to Wellington and saying his final goodbye that's my happy walking dead ending
While I understand why people Stay & even shot Kenny, I will never understand why ANYONE would chose Jane. She is just a selfish person and never cared about Clem or AJ. Season 3 proves that.
Clem found Lilly in finale season so why not our boy Kenny after all.

What if telltale decides to do something different, like if Kenny survives when you stay at Wellington with AJ, then you play as him in season five. But if you choose to go with him or sh00t him, then you play as an entirely different character.

I'll never forgive myself for falling into the narrative trap of shooting Kenny. In my defense they put up a really good thought infection of putting him out of his misery. He lost everything twice and he was painted as going absolutely mad. It felt right thinking I was pulling a mercy killing at the time but damn do I regret how that went down. 😂

I will say season 2 Kenny is more calm and rational compared to season 1. Like yeah, he is hot headed and acts on emption rather than logic. But i like him way more in season 2. I dont think hes a bad character but i cant justify him murdering larry in cold blood, that was fucked. If Larry was actually dead then yeah, but why couldnt they try to save him then kill him if he passed away.
To be honest, so far, all the characters seem rational and reasonable in season 2. By that, i mean they communicate, they dont just hate you or love you, that middoe ground is nice and makes the characters feel realistic. Though, i know there are people who are vwry strong in their beliefs, but not everyone. So i like the character variety much better in 2

Reading the description makes it sound like it is just speculation. Considering the massive disaster that is the comics sequel to season 4, Skybound needs to back off of the books and win back their audience first. Then spin off games or sequels are possible.
What I wanna see? I wanna see Kenny unite with Rick and co. Probably not realistic but still.
