It looks incredible, really amazing work. The only criticism I would give would be that in the first scene it shouldn't be as dark as it is, looks pretty much nighttime already. When in the game it's supposed to be "getting dark", and later when they settle in it looks a bit darker. Bonnie's comment about it getting dark doesn't make as much sense either when it already is. Apart from that (and even with it), it still looks great. The official lightning doesn't hold a candle to this work. It's very impressive, love the shadows at the campfire specially.
I definitely love the lighting and shadow work overall, the color temperature change is nice too. I honestly think the only problem I have is the depth-of-field is just too strong in almost every shot, it's just waaay too blurred and can be toned down quite a bit; it'll probably make the transitions between shots look smoother too since the the edges of the DoF is noticeable too.
I've mentioned this is another comment but the aperture of the depth of field can actually be increased if you think its too strong via the level .ini file for the mod. You can even flat out disable it as well. Relight is very configruable to exactly what you want so you are not locked in to the changes I made for this very reason. It's up to you!
It just looks amazing. These graphic changes are very refreshing for season 1 and 2. This makes me even more looking forward to the official remakes of the first seasons... Thank you so much for the work you've done. We are waiting for more amazing videos, as well as a demonstration of the changes of season 4, if you are planning it, as well as more scenes from the first seasons💜🧢
You know what I think I would have preferred Clem to be a mute the entire 4 seasons and her first words would be in season 1 episode 5 with her trying to say “goodbye Lee” and either leaving him or shooting him.
The depth of field/background blur is wayyyy too strong and distracting. Makes it feel more like an sfm animation as well. It's very promising otherwise
I've mentioned this in other comments but Relight is very configurable for this exact reason since I know not everyone is a fan of such effects. If you think the depth of field is too strong you can override the aperture value in the level ini file and set it to a higher value (meaning less background blur), or if you wish you can also flat out disable the depth of field as well. It's all up to you, so you are not locked down to the decisions I've made.
Yes, relight is designed to be very configurable from the get go. You can choose to keep the relight but disable DOF, or you can even play the vanilla game but with DOF, and much more. There is all kinds of combinations that you can have with the configurability of the mod!
I liked the lighting around 11:30 when they are talking while the sun is going down. But at 13:00 when they’re sitting around the fire, that cozy feeling of being next to the fire is kinda just…. Gone. The blue filter sucks but the orange clashing with it and the flames appearing to be burning bright made you feel comfortable, even in a situation that was extremely uncomfortable.
I also feel like it’s not dark enough outside with the relight, which may be the reason why that feeling of desperately wanting to be next to that fire isn’t there. You guys are doing great though and I REALLY want to try this once it’s finally done.
Although looking at it again, I guess it’s not really supposed to be too much darker. I just feel like the intended feelings that you take from the scene kinda get lost a little bit.
Opinons are always welcome, but I think this is a good opprotunity to note that if you or anyone else aren't a fan of the new lighting for the scene, you can actually disable it and stick with the vanillia lighting coming from the game. Relight for this very reason is designed to be very configurable and flexible from the get go. You can choose to disable the relight but continue to play with the DOF and other features that relight offers. One really cool bonus that I actually haven't announced here yet is that relight will be shipping with an in-game editor that I built, and it will actually be possible to make your own level "relight" preset very easily without needing to know any Lua programming! So if you want to take a crack at lighting the level in a way that you think is best you can actually do so with ease!

I agree with this comment so much
This looks absolutely great, good work. It’s nice to see the community keeping the game alive. I hope this gets the attention it deserves 👏.

I like the background blur and the minor colour changes from the temperature. This project has potential.

This looks so damn smooth
Coming together nicely
It looks great. You put some great work into the telltale tool engine.
It looks like you slapped RTX REMIX on top off it.
These modifications made everything so much more beautiful. Your work is excellent!
Your work is fantastic
This looks absolutely insane
it looks so much better
Awesome
Thanks for this cool video 😁, all that’s left to do is advertise it
I think the scene at the beginning should feel more like the sun is setting than night time, but yea the rest is fire, even the fire!
Dang, amazing work. No words
it looks amazing the only problem i have is that the bookeh is a little too much if it could be turned down a notch it would be perfect
This looks so good😫
Looks great
guys,very cool
I love this 🔥
This look so sexy it's amazing 🙏🏾😭👍🏾🔥
Why this looks and play better than retail version
Probably ultra modded
You're planning to fix 102 glitch where Mr.Parker always kills you on the car?

Will you be able to disable the dof?

When is alive inside coming out?
It's really beautiful. Are you going to do season 4 too?
Is this real gameplay?
