- I tried to reproduced all the color scheme of Fokker Dr.I as possible, wichi I investugated. As far as I know, there would be no one else who tried the same project.
If you have another scheme, I hope you tell me. I'll build them some day, because in my bookshelf, there remain some 1/144 kit of Dr.I.
But those all are just a possibility of existence of Fokker Dr.I. "Possibility" means some of them might not exist, for instance, coming from just a difference of understanding of color, when learning b/w photo to the colors.
In addition, some planes could have been recolored some times. So in some case, existing some different scheme about the same planes.

You'll find the detail on the following URL though I recommend browsing by PC, not by Smart Phone.

excellent project!
Thank you!
great work! you should do the black falcon from the movie Flyboys (2006)
May be someday. Thanks for watching.
Wow, these things are what, 1,5cm ?!? Nice collection you have!
Thank you for visiting. They are not so small. The wing span is about 5cm.
Very cool as usual. I built a Sopwith Camel and Fokker triplane in balsa when I was 12. Used my dad’s house paint to paint them. They were crude, but I loved them. Thanks for sharing. 😎🇨🇦

When I was 10 years old, I built my first WWI planes from Revell 1/72.
@@gatoneco cool!
Awesome collection! Quite a few schemes I had not seen before. Excellent builds, thanks for sharing
Thank you for coming. I added some explanations in the description column.
Fantastic! Thanks for this! I fly RC WW1 planes nd have been looking for Dr1 paint schemes with pilot id.
Thanks for watching! I have built and flown a RC Dr.I with a OS engine before. That RC plane had a nice performance.
where did you ever find the lozenge covering?
@@anvil49 Thanks for your question.
As I wrote in the picture, that lozenge camouflage Dr.I is the replica which came over in the movie "Blue Max". No lozenge Dr.I existed in a historical fact. You can see it only in the movie.
07:35, that is my grandfathers triplane, Hans MüllerJasta 15, later Jasta 18
Is it true? that's great!
Nice work, I am very impressed with the detail you are achieving. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Simply FABULOUS!!!!

2:26 Josef Jacobs... Not Perter. But really enjoyed this. Many hours of work I am sure... well done. Is the #2 @ 2:30 Dr 1 470/17..?
Thanks for your informative comment. You must have much more information than I. According to the data (as it is not the newest, the data could have been updated) I have, 2:26 is also Perter's, but I'm not sure which is correct, but I appreciate your indicate anyway.
And...nice question. The next one is not sure either if the plane number is correct. But it seems thies paints existed. I made all possible color schemes, even if they are uncertain.
@@gatoneco Thank you for your reply. Josef Jacobs (48kills) certainly had 2 Triplanes. 450/17 & 470/17. The most famous being the Devil's head design 450/17... He was shot down flying on 24/10/18 by American Camel pilot Lt Kenneth Unger (14kills) flying 470, but it is uncertain what paint scheme this aircraft had. There could have been a third machine, as there is an image of Jasta 7s aircraft lined up with 2 black Triplanes next to each other. Neither of which are 450/17. That's why I asked about the #2 image, as there is an original WW1 image of a black Dr1 with these open style crosses on the fuselage. But it doesn't show the wings. It is a lovely scheme, but I don't know how authentic it is.... and it's Josef not Perter.
