    Recipe below:
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup all purpose flour
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup unsalted butter
    1/4-1/2 cup granulated sugar (for top)
    2 tsp baking powder
    2 cups fresh berries
    1/2 cup blackberry juice (or any berry juice of your choosing.
    OR 2 cups frozen berries (thawed)
    Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
    1. Preheat oven to 375 F
    2. Mix butter with sugar until creamy
    3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt & baking powder.
    4. Alternate milk and butter mixture into the flour mixture. Mix to combine.
    5. Spread into a greased 8x8 pan.
    6. Pour berries and juice over the batter evenly.
    7. Pour 1/4 cup granulated sugar evenly over the top. squeeze lemon juice on the top (optional).
    8. Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes.
