Predator is as close to a flawless movie as you can get. The atmosphere, the claustrophobic feeling, the cast, the creature design and not letting it be seen, and this damn score are just amazing.
We've seen the creature before this scene...when the predator comes out of the water and Arnold's covered in mud.

I know every word in this film. Every sound. Every bit of the score. I'm a snobby movie buff. I watch all kinds of weird shit from directors who's names I can barely pronounce. I've seen everything from citizen Kane to plan 9 from outer space. This. This is the best movie ever made

Alan Silvestri is a musical genius. How in the hell do you put together something so classic??? It's still used to this day. I can see certain scenes at certain points in the song.
The score to this film is cinematic perfection! It’s up there as one of my favourites of all-time.
And I agree, at certain moments in the music, you can visualize specific scenes from the film.
In this piece at around 3:20…I can see the shot of the Predator Caressing Billy’s skull…proud of his kill and trophy. That moment always freaked me out so much as a kid. Creepy and effective!

This came out back in the mid to late 80’s and I still love this one today!! Something about this beat that simply motivates me to no end!!

When you have a seasoned composer doing a musical score and they bring their A-game, it elevates a good film to a CLASSIC film.
I remember to this very day the first time I saw this scene at the cinema... everybody was getting pumped up .. I could hear people telling their friends .. that's it !! He's going for it... the fight is on... epic as fuck

This is my loop when doing any major sanding jobs. I find my ability rises ten fold for this track.
Only Alan Silvestri can create this much intense and serious soundtrack by using a lot of Horns and Trumpets...
In the original concept, this scene made so much more sense. Dutch's character was originally of Native American decent. More closely to the Billy character. And by this stage of the film he is the only soldier left, so when technology fails to kill the demon, he remembers his ancestral teachings and fights in the old ways of spears, arrows and knives. He fights like a warrior. Not that this scene isn't great as is, but imagine had the film stayed closer to the original idea.

yeah no, sorry to disappoint you race-baiter, but the reason this was likely changed was because Schwarzenegger was a big name, and since he didn't look anything at all like a native american, they had to change it so that they could still keep him as the lead roll in a way that didn't have Arnold try to play a native american, which would be even moreso the retarded option.
