Darwin not willing to stay is heartbreaking. After all the support he got.. he still couldn’t live up to the billing. He should be looking to improve himself learning from his past mistakes and not force a move.

THIS. I want to see Mo transition to a CF/striker and bang in more goals/assists. His time on the RW I think is at an end. He is older and slower, and doesn't dribble as well either. Need more energy on the RW side. CR7 transitioned from LW to LS/striker in early 30s under Zidane, and look what its done to him and the team.

If he wants to go then so be it and the same goes for Diaz. Nunez will score goals in Spain or Portugal because those leagues are not as competitive as here where every game is a Cup final. I'm very wary of buying south Americans because they appear fixated on Spain with the exception of the great Bobby Firmino

Only Liverpool has that issue with South American players. Other clubs are able to keep their SA players for the long term. That should tell you something.
Always a big problem, especially when they are also coming in to the PL/top few Europe leagues before 25. It's also concerning when they show 0 interest in learning the language, etc - which is why Darwin and Diaz are more likely to leave than say Ali or Macca.
Naturally, they prefer for their families to be based in Spain because of the language and culture.
He is a frustrating player. It comes to a point that whenever Nunez is one on one with a keeper, we'll KNOW he won't score.

@@themaharanisclosetSalah and Nunez get 40 g/a between then Diaz, Gakpo and Jota need to do more. Nunez has a 1 in 3 goal ratio. Most clubs have two or three strikers yet Liverpool have one and Jota whose injured half the season.
@@Ruscococo1 The fact that we count assist is enough evidence that something is wrong with Nunez, 11 goals in the PL, 7 in FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League put together. Not exactly fantastic... Even then look at these assist, not exactly some great technique on his passing, he's never going to improve dramatically technically.
I personally think, it was not Darwin' ability to play, it is the price tag on his bag. This is why he couldn't live to his standards. Sometimes things dose work for some players at some clubs. I totally understand that and appreciate the effort. Wish the best in his move.

Am starting to wonder, did his agent tell him to delete his liverpool posts in Instagram? If that is the case, then he could have done that in order to get the chance to move to barca. This is because Barcelona will see from his behaviour that he doesn't like being in Liverpool and therefore try to convince Liverpool to make the transfer. According to me, this could be a well calculated move from the two of them.

We should never accept being a stepping stone club but players may well treat us that way.
The fa ta of the matter are that financially we are top of the second division of big spenders. Call it a business model, money ball approach or whatever… we don’t really buy world class lawyers… we crest them. Good coaching, great club, great fans and opportunities to play at the highest levels… but we cannot compete with some clubs financially… So, we have to support the Clubs decisions and let the Club make their choices and trust their due diligence. When the players arrive we support them all… support the Club and believe. It’s why we love football… I love my club and I admire their standards and values… unlike some other noisy neighbours.
If someone thinks, after being benched, that they've been hard done by and need to look at other clubs... rather than - oh, I'm going to need to up my game - then I don't really want them.

Darwin has faced some turbulence of late at Anfield and that's sad. But I think the reality is the weather, culture and language are more friendly and familiar to Darwin in Spain. Just a fact.

It kinda is but also isn’t a stepping stone club. But this only applies for the uber elite club that can just poach anyone if they have the money. And only Madrid and *Barf*celona fit that bill. Maybe Man U back in her hayday maybe? But they’re rivals and that rarely happens. I do notice how Liverpool is somehow not as attractive a destination for marquee talent for some reason, which is maybe why this narrative came to be. Tchouameni, Camavinga, Bellingham, Mbappé (hopefully) all went to Madrid while flirting hard with Liverpool. Barfcelona did poach all their best talents like Luis Suarez, Mascherano, and Philippe Coutinho come to mind. But all in all. They’re not a platform club they don’t have the massive pull but I think that’s just the owners being stingy and most of their high profile target do end up in Madrid but that just Madrid being Madrid and poaching all the players Liverpool want.

After all we done for these boys… Club and fanbase went above and beyond with the support for Lucho when the situation with his dad happened. And any other big club fanbase would have had Darwin’s head on a stick last year, to this day the club backs him despite how awful he is

It would never surprise me if Spanish speaking players prefer to move to Spain. I think there is always some risk that Spanish speaking players will be attracted to Spanish clubs.

There are people who post on here who have been advocating selling both players since they got here. They inhabit some make believe world where players are bought and immediately become World Class. No development, adjusting to the PL, different teammates and tactics or a different country. They are on their backs from minute one. We do have some of the most loyal fans in the game, but we also have some of the most hate filled bigots who think they are watching a FIFA game. Sadly, sometimes Craig joins in for the clicks. They attack everyone from the owners, manager, coaches and players. I don't blame them for wanting to leave, if it's true, the abuse they get is a disgrace and not called for at all. If anyone has to leave LFC, personally, I'd rather it was you trolls and haters.
Be mindful that all the problems started when th echo wrote " Nunez is the recruit of Klopp and not Liverpool". I know the source of such venomous information within the team coaches.
