Hello! I have a 2011 Aprilia SR 50 R that has been sitting for about 8 weeks, I've been starting it regularly and noticed a oil leak. I traced the leak and it is from the oil pump! Could you please tell me what I'll need to do to replace it? Would I need to calibrate it at all? I don't want to have too much oil, but I don't want to have not enough oil!
Riccardo, Thanks for the video. And I can notice that you know a lot more than me. May be you can help me. I´m having problems with the same motor mounted on a 2006, Gilera Runner 125 Vx. I changed the head gasket buy it still drains the water to the oil carter. I reasembled everything again with a new gasket and the specific torque, filled with water, but without starting the engine and with no oil, and waited all night. The other day there was water pouring slowly to the bottom of the oil carter. Do you think that I need to replace or rebuild the head? What else do you think I´m doing bad. Thanks (bad english too)
hi, isnt the crank Timing markings on the right hand side of this engine ? in at the water pump ? you seemed to have made your own timing marking in the drive belt side ? also, why did you put that old, clearly worn, head gasket back on ? kinda defeats the purpose in doing the job at all...??
Hi J did the mark in drive belt side, because j want work with certainty. It is an old engine, from junk trade, it is a demonstrative job-video.Please excuse me for my english
