The chopper Gunners also carry the LMG, so if you disarm a chopper Gunner and try to pinpoint where the lmg is and you are successful with finding it you can technically get it that way on the normal game in GTA IV, and not just the addon.

The M60 was my favourite gun in vice city. I only wish it had a semi auto function as one shot was really all you needed.
