I recently lost my mom to dementia.
I was blessed with the opportunity to return home and to be able to take care of her while she went through her challenging journey.
Ultimately, I was by her side when she took her last breath. It was the most beautiful, spiritual experience that could never be expressed in words, While at the same time, the most crushing sense of pain, emptiness and sense of loss I've ever experienced.
Thank you Kat, for being able to express all these feelings I went through and still going through, in the most beautiful, healing way possible.
It is possible for something to hurt so much that it's truly unique and beautiful.
It's unconditional love.
