Awesome video, nothing more grassroots than the phone falling down a half a dozen times in a video. Im always leery of the people that have top dollar video equipment but aren't proficient in what they are filming but you obviously are. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for that. Great to see exactly what to do on my 97 Valkyrie. Sure wish I had access to that compression tool. There is a work around though involving a Harley oil filter wrench and a large vice.

Another question: Why not soak them in clutch fluid instead of engine oil? Nice demo BTW.

Thanks for explaining how you position the steal and friction plates!!

Question: Can you use fine grit sand paper to smooth/polish out the surfaces of the rings and maybe touch up the grooves?

Sharp/smooth, engage / disengage. Could lightly prep the edge of the steels. Very good video! Thank you

Are these hot spots the cause of a clutch chattering when it's being engaged? Is there anything that can be done short of a tear down and replace?

All those credentials and this is filmed on what a phone? A phone is fine for this, but for video the phone is held in landscape mode…that is to say you hold the phone sideways. Doing so changes many things….all of which make video better to watch.

This wasn't a planned video. I was doing the clutches for a friend and thought while I'm doing this I could do a video at the same time. A phone is all I had at t he time and placement wasn't the best but all I had. I can take the video off TH-cam and not give free information to everyone if that would make you happy! It's your world I'm just living in it.....

@@dustinmoody4064 Planned or not, holding the phone sideways for video should be common sense. If you do take the video down, that’s on you. However if you do take it down, try to record another video holding the phone in “video mode” and you will see vast improvements, not only in video quality but in the comments section too.
I found it ironic that all the credentials were stated and then the video is done with less say less than 100% effort….effort that should be expected from someone touting their own credentials…not a whole lot of professionalism…kinda like your reply.
With said credentials being stated at the beginning of the video, you are raising viewer’s expectations on performance and results. Surely you are aware of the point being made?!
Take all the comments you do not like and use them to construct a more favorable outcome in the future. I,e. Corrective Criticism.
With ALL that being said, there are good facets of your upload…the information was/is sound and people are grateful…but you are a professional, step up that game Sir….YOU CAN DO IT and people do appreciate it. Including me even though I commented in a less than favorable way that probably did not convey 100% of how I feel.
I’ll watch it again, just to pump up those views to offset my negative comment.

Another great video would be to explain how to remedy the ole 1500 clutch basket wobble you feel every time you pull in the clutch to coast or when idling as well.
Do you know the cause? Thx

Twenty times the camera fell. Are you serious? This is ridiculous. Buy a stand. It's not expensive.
