    So many people love to spend a bunch of money on their favorite hotel or airline credit card. This can be a really bad idea since often you will be leaving a ton of value on the table by choosing to spend on a co-branded credit card compared to a flexible points card. Today we will explain when you should and should not spend on a co-branded credit card.

    I spent my way to globalist the last couple of years. It is so much better than Hilton and Marriott. The confirmed suites when I am vacationing with the family is fantastic. I spend just enough to get globalist, use the business preferred for 3x on shipping. I have a ton of business spend so I always have a lot of UR points that I transfer to Hyatt when it is time to book. Getting suites at peak travel times is huge value.

    Imho 5x hilton points on non category spend for the hilton business card is quite competitive

      I agree if you're using Hilton Stays enough. Even if you take the modest 0.6c per point that's a 3% cb

    Hey Credit Card BS Podcast, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made.
    I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel

    I have some Chase hotel cards for the free night certificate but don't put any spend on them.

    Great podcast. I have a lot of amex points and don’t travel internationally. What about transferring to Hilton with that big 40 percent bonus ? 1 amex becomes 2.8 Hilton I have found limited use with amex

    I tend to agree except for signup bonuses. Also the American Airlines executive card has 10x when booking hotels through their portal which is good since nobody (as of a month from now) can transfer to them.

    So quick question..if I had the surpass and I spend 15k so I got the free night. Now I want more Hilton points..in a previous episode you guys mentioned it’s not great idea to transfer Amex points to Hilton. I am not getting any new Hilton cards at the moment. So I would assume buying points is the only option available based on what you’re saying??

    • @marklihsu
      @marklihsu 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah better off buying unless you don't want to spend any money. A standard night at a nice hotel is 95k points at Hilton not going to get very far transferring points

      @@marklihsu I personally don't see anything wrong with transfer amex points to hilton especially if there is a bonus happening.

      Transferring during a bonus like the current one is the only good time to do it but make sure you know exactly how much you need before just transferring xxx points for no reason. One you transfer them they can not go back.
